First, I was placed on the waiting list to purchase a home in January of 2022. My name finally came up to purchase a home around March 20th 22. I placed the down payment and the salesperson said my pre-qualification letter and and closing disclosure to me. My realtor and myself, went off on those numbers and planned for the home for several months. A month later, my salesperson from KB sent me a message that he had to apologize for sending me the wrong figures and home information for over a month. Wow. He informed me that my closing figures would be twice as much now with the new figures. I am not sure how you get the information wrong for over a month. However, I digress. I then had to drop out of that process because of KB homes And request a refund. I then gave KB Homes another chance in July to purchase a home. The home that was advertised on KB's website and for the Realtors website and the nmls list was a perfect fit. The home was advertised as all improvements and structural details included. I signed the contract and pay the down payment. Almost 2 months later the same salesman came to me and advised that they could not honor the contract. They informed me that there were several mistakes with the advertising and they could not honor the previous agreement that I signed and paid for. Because I am just a nine to five worker, and not a multi-million dollar Corporation they could do such a thing. The average working Joe has no leverage on these companies. We then had to restructure the entire contract. I lost out on a great deal that KB advertised. Lastly I was recently informed emphatically and specifically not to change the utilities in my name until they specifically informed me to because of issues that were still going on with the home. My kids and I came home after work school and our Sports practice around 6:00 p.m. Friday and all Power and Water was turned off to the home without myself ever receiving any type of heads up or calls. I informed the head of construction that this is not what I was told and now my family has to suffer because I trusted the information that I was given. The construction phase was better than the sales phase. I assume I will have to pay for everything I lost for those 4 days without power. That's really has been my experience with KB homes. Moved into a new house. Loving it. Best part is the warranty. Issue occurs right? But the Superintendents made my life happy. Quick fix of any issues ,,,,not many but amazing customer service by these guys.....(FYI-Sales person is not getting this rating,,dont want to talk about him)

I am a first time homebuyer and this process was fairly easy compared to other experiences I’ve heard of. The only thing I wish would have been done differently was information provided regarding changes in rates and full disclosure of how to lock in your rate early on. It took a full year for completion. Our construction manager Joe was very helpful through the build process and especially after closing. Any issues or concerns were addressed in a timely manner. He could use some help given there’s a lot of requests and he supervises the entire subdivision. Overall I would recommend to others

Very responsive When it comes to answering questions on functionality of the home

If you would like a hassle free experience at new home buying and building, this is your builder. Frequent updates during the build process, better material, craftsmanship and the sales representatives are very attentive. The superintendents maintain communication and they attend to buyers questions or concerns. Don’t hesitate call KB homes!!!

Ultimately I am just amazed that we got to build a new home for our family and also customize it to meet our budget and needs. While things have not been perfect Mellisa and the teams have been putting in a great effort to get things corrected. Definitely been recommending KB to our friends and family.

Get everything done before the settlement

Well............from the time we signed purchase agreement to move in, in between that period it was ok, it's when the walk through came up...I will stop right here because there is not enough space to leave a review for that. Overall, we are not happy to say the least.

Overall, KB Homes did a good job of helping us to move into our new home. I do wish the material/workmanship was better, but most issues have been fixed. Consequently, we are glad to be in our new home.

Overall, we are pleased with the sales, construction and financing. We have an irregular driveway that did not get resolved properly. We were compensated which we do appreciate. The quality of the construction is better than expected. Insulation for the internal walls should be a standard for construction.

I was threaten to lose my rate if I did not close before my house was completed. I have lived here for over 1 month and my master shower has never been used because it still isn’t completed. My closet has no shelving, I’m missing some gutter on the roof. I still have blue tape that wasn’t fixed that was noted by a kb employee himself. The superintendent sends you nothing but lies about the progress of your home. If you plan to buy from kb anyway I suggest you check progress on your own and do not close until it is 100% completed. My backsplash is broken and has been since closing. That is still waiting repair. They do not respond to emails. In the process of hiring an attorney for the issues as no one has made right on the problems. They talk a good game so do your homework. Hire your own inspector. My suggestion is go do a custom build or buy from a better builder. ... More

Very professional staff! They were great through the whole process.

We bought our first home with KB Home. There are pending items to complete but they requested us to close the property and mentioned that they would complete the pending items with in 2-3 weeks of home closure. We almost completed 2+ months and still they did not address the pending items and every day follow-up got a big headache. My recommendation to everyone not to go and close the home without trusting them. Just close the property once everything is addresses.

Ive had a decent amount of issues that were not completed before the closing and the team has been very helpful and communicates and responds quickly to messages.

As a whole I had a great great experience buying with KB. The process was clearly laid out up front. Rodregus was attentive as we moved along and he went above and beyond at several points. There were some hiccups with the translation from Design Center selections to final build. Stacy handled build issues with a great attitude and they were addressed promptly.

Extremely poor communication and rushed process. Warranty items are very slow moving

My experience was really fantastic in every aspect.The crew is really highly professional, very patient, always ready to explain every single detail and help .I give grade 10/10 to Marianna, Adam and Ty.Very kind , polite and trusting people. It was a big pleasure working with them!

There is no ownership of the contractors hired to build the homes. When I call to complain because my “NEW” home is having issues. I continuously hear “that’s the contractors fault”. The way I see it, if KB hires the contractor to do the job they should be checking over the work and making sure it’s up to the standard that KB is claiming.

There are no reviews, other than I would NOT recommend anyone to KB Homes at this time.

I have horrible experience with KB, very slow haven't met any of the timelines they have provided, you will not get answer to your questions, bad quality in most parts and this happens primarily due to time constraints to close. Never ever getting a home through KB Homes

I got home with ceiling fan, the backdoor sliding door was dented. The response from KBhome was super slow. I had to escalate it to corporate office to find the supervisor information and even after that I had to make multiple calls to get a response. Finally they responded but getting the work done is super slow. Also KB home in their base mode (price they put on the website) is a bare bones house. E.g they don't even give handle to door, garage door opener, LED lights as default. These are we need to take as upgrade.

Through the entire process there was little to no communication unless it was Us reaching out to the Builders of this company. Only time any communication was reciprocated to us is when they needed something, KB really made the experience worse instead of insuring the customer had a wonderful stress free time. We were Hounded and pushed to close when the house was not even complete! Once we conducted our walk through the quality of work was incredibly poor. Foundation was NOT level therefore the flooring was wavy and hollow in certain areas, paint on almost every outlet, un even wall heights and the pillars out front were noticeably crooked. The contractors left debris in our drains causing an overflow in the bathroom that flooded the pantry and the kitchen. Were holes in the walls, door knobs in half the rooms were lose and would fall off. With all of that the communication was still very poor, we reached out and every time we’d make a call no one would answer. We would have to call literally 10 times just to get a text back to call another number. The concrete in the garage was poorly finished with a bunch of Honeycomb and cracked edges. We have only been in the house for 3 weeks and we feel we made the worse mistake purchasing with KB Homes. ... More

It was pretty good I guess

My experience in K H is 10 stars. I am delighted with everything from day one to the delivery of my house. Everything has been incredible. A thousand thanks to the entire KH team, especially Zina and the always attentive Stacy. Thank you very much . Muchas Gracias a todos
