Very polite always willing to help

During the building process, everyone was communicating and making things happen to get us into our home. There were few bumps, but nothing major. 2 months after we moved in communication went down the drain and my “POC” stopped replying to my messages for issues that were going on with my irrigation system. Then we get a package from KB about our warranty, and guess what, our irrigation system’s warranty expired over a month ago, which we didn’t know until after the fact. That’s when everything made sense as to why my KB rep stopped replying to my messages concerning the issue. Now I have to go find someone to fix my irrigation system. Take away from this, make sure they turn on the sprinkler system during your inspection so you can see that they work before you close on the house. ... More

Hello, Just wanted to say how much we love and appreciate our home. It’s everything we have dreamed of and more. There’s a few call outs that I have. 1st being our plumbing had multiple issues the first month when we moved in. We had a blockage in the pipes which created 2 leaks. Thankfully it was fixed with no charge. 2nd we had issues with our sliding door. Thank fully it was replaced but the fact that we had a new home we figured those issues shouldn’t occur since the home and materials are brand new. 3rd : The wood under our island has come OFF!!! We love to maintain and clean our home Atleast 2-3 times a week and we noticed with sweeping and mopping our kitchen floor the wood underneath our island was poorly installed and yet to be fixed since it has happened before our 30 day mark. Overall I appreciate everything but I believe it’s in my nature to make sure I give an honest review so the next customer doesn’t have any issues. ... More

Overall experience was very good. Sales and financing were excellent but, there were too many constructions flaws. some of them corrected before closing others after we moved in. At the end most of them were fixed to satisfaction on an average time frame. I think there is areas that need improvement specially after sales; warranty process needs to review process workflow, that will help a lot and will make the warranty/service more reliable and reduce the frustration on owners and also KB warranty team.

Kb experience was good however their financing was not

The buying process was smooth when it came to actually dealing with a sales rep and closing. The building process though is not amazing and if you cannot go by every day and check on the work being done then I caution you. KB Home's motto in my neighborhood was build bigger for less and nothing could be more than true. The quality of work is spotty, no one is checking the trades peoples work the day they do things. Mistakes are made but rather than the construction crew in charge calling it out, I am the one that has to send pictures and bother them to fix it. Our experience from the beginning was great. The sales staff did a great job of communicating the status of everything. Initially we had great communication with the building manager, but all of that changed drastically in the last 2 months. Communications ceased to exist and our closing date changed 6 times. We closed with a list of items that needed to be fixed promised by the builders. Months later we are still dealing with several of these issues. The warranty offered by the builder has been laughable and frustrating to deal with. Be prepared to have to be very patient when dealing with them during and after. ... More

Beautiful community. Lacked communication. Couldn't get a clear date as to when we would close. After they found out we were upset they did go above and beyond to make us happy.

Sheri was so helpful and informative during the initial home buying experience when I went under contract. She kept me and my realtor up to date on the build throughout the process. Jim has been so attentive in taking care of structural and operational tasks that needed revision, such as replacing my master bathroom cabinetry, lawn care for the first few weeks after closing, reviewing with me the sprinkler system, etc. Kerlyn was a pleasure to speak to on the phone and he has been effective in setting up work orders to address the issue with the damaged drywall in the laundry room and touching up the paint on my front door. The criticisms I have for the workmanship is that the contractors building the home need a little more attention to detail. I can visually notice several areas inside the house where the base boards are not straight or at 90 degrees relative to the adjoining walls. Also, the windows don't measure the same width when measured at the top compared to the width at the bottom. Lastly, I was told at the initial home orientation that the builder would place an epoxy coating on my garage floor. It looks like what was done was a coating of gray paint and some scattered flakes which tend to, over time, get tracked from the garage and into the house on my shoes. I had a garage flooring professional look at the floor and he quickly assessed that what was done to the garage floor was not an epoxy coating. Overall good. Especially since we got in early and got a good price.

KB Homes is a great builder. My recommendation to other homebuyers it to ensure you understand all conditions of the contract before signing.

I have a leak in my water heater more than a month and I receive my house without 2 cabinets doors that was supposed to be delivered in February 24th, but until now nothing. They return quickly my questions but I don’t have the real solution for my problems.

I had a long "punch-list" when I moved it. It was pretty unacceptable. I've had to have subcontractors come out multiple times, and I am months away from having a "complete" house with no issues. KB is a budget builder, and it's fairly good value. You get what you pay for.

Tyler from the design studio was amazing! There were a few major things that really affected my rating. The first is when we toured the models with the sales rep we were lied to about included features. The second was they installed the wrong cabinets initially. We had to bring it to their attention because no one realized the mistake. The final thing was after doing the final walk through and marking the items that needed to be fixed we were promised they would be fixed by closing. Only half the items were corrected. Good workmanship with quality products. A good sound home

I’m if you waiting to come and fix behind the old oven since the day I moved. They told me that they will take care of the issue ASAP. I’m still waiting.

Dahlia and Joey were great to work with. However, the underwriter(s) were terrible to work with. They made me feel I had to prove I was giving honest answers to anything and everything. Took them so long to do things that I needed to pay extra to get more time to close

Overall experience was great.

Attention to detail isn’t there. Holes hidden behind light fixtures, drywall not texted and covered with a mirror, ect.

The initial process was smooth. My rep was very helpful providing info on how to get prequalified and get into contract. The build time was very long as I was told permits were delayed 3 months. I was being pushed to close on property before the build was complete which I didn't appreciate. My initial foreman retired midway thru build process but the superintendent that took over the build was great.
