The home that KB built for us is our first home. My husband and I love the great customer service that Angie gave. She made us feel comfortable and welcomed. Tony is also amazing and we truly appreciated all the calls we received from him, while he was building our home. The only downfall would be the Financial part/mortgage originator rep named Rosa. She was not responsive and we definitely didn’t have a good experience with her. So needless to say we went with another mortgage company that was more helpful and responsive.

The entire process was made easy from the sales to home store to construction manager to financing. The process was explained by sales in the beginning and they never missed a beat. Would recommend to others

Great experience with KB homes

As we have lived in our home going on the second month we have found a few things that where not done correctly. Walk through doesn’t allow a through inspection because of course everything can’t be looked over in just a few hours. We love our home just wish something’s weren’t done so poorly.

Very pleased and happy. Even after closing Jeremy still in contact and promptly answer all my questions. Love my home!

Overall good experience with KB homes.

Jeff, our Sales Counselor was terrific. I cannot say enough good things about him. Closing was delayed a number of weeks due to supply issues. A number of things were incomplete upon closing in early December and added to the Exception List. We are still waiting to have many of the issues resolved.

The home buying process and closing went smoothly, and the purchase was completed without any issues. During the final walk-through, several issues were identified that needed to be corrected. However, four months later, some of these issues still remain unresolved. We have been in contact with the KB Home VP representative and are expecting all pending items to be resolved within the next couple of weeks, as previously promised.

House still incomplete. Missing shower and cabniet trim. Never given updates, I have to call in and ask what's going on and no one ever seems to know.

The entire process was quite stressful as communication between the KB Home corporate office and the title company (First American Title) was terrible. They couldn’t coordinate the closing date and it kept changing. KB kept wanting to close on my new house without having me do a final walkthrough. Quite a poor experience.

Horrible drywall finishing as you can see where seams are everywhere. Robert is a horrible project manager and missed many steps and requests on my home after discussing with him personally several times.

I had major issues with KB since about half way through the home buying process. I was getting minimal updates and my initial time frame was pushed by months. Finally, at the end, my closing kept moving all around which made getting an appropriate private inspection difficult to do. KB stated it needed to be done a week before closing but when my inspector did come, so much still needed to be done and then closing got pushed. I mentioned from many months ahead that it could not be on a certain date as I would be out of the state, but still that's the time frame they had to do it to meet quarter numbers. Then as we get to that date, it needed to be pushed out once again. We get to walkthrough and while there is a vast improvement, so much still needed to get fixed. We'll, we decided to close anyways. Now, I'm finding things done so poorly that some bedroom doors can't even be closed properly, paint jobs are needed and even caulking near showers were incomplete. While I've had a great experience with the construction manager, he can only help so much while still working on getting other houses completed. Now, I'm trying to go through warranty for a water heater beeping that has been doing on for over a month and while I someone has gotten a hold of me, the person who would actually reach out (my community's representative) has not. So now we learned to live with the beep. Overall, these builders had so much potential to have a beautiful home without any issues if it wasn't so rushed and disorganized, but it's hard to be happy when I'm still dealing with so many issues. ... The entire process from initial purchase to final move was average. one major item in our kitchen that we were never told about and was not in the model is the exhaust fan above the microwave oven that just doesn't look right and takes away the consistence I the model had above the kitchen cabinet it appears like an after thought. After moving in we had issues with the bathroom vents in one case water entered the bathroom after it rained and in the other bathroom the ceiling started to form bubbles in both cases the galvanized vents were not installed on the roof tops. The builders team were responsive to our calls depending on the issue we were calling them about. My recommendation to any potential buyer is that all the work is being performed by subcontractors and not directly KB workers thus builders commitment is not as I would imagine or have seen with KB homes in California. If you are planning on buying a home from KB I recommend frequently visit to your new home as it is being built, take picture, report and document everything to the builder that your dissatisfied with. One more recommendation I have for KB leave extra paint with every new house you sell so that the owner can perform touchups to the wall, front door and so-forth. One more request please remove the outhouse that sits across my home, it is disappointing to see every morning I leave my home to go to work. ... More

Cons: HOA is kind of expensive (no amenities or whatever) and the grass are uneven in the tiny park and sometimes there’s litters. Builder still has not replied or given me the garage opener they promised (it has been 2 months since we close), which shows they’re gonna be like that if some warranty issue happens. Loan officer keeps getting our names wrong during the process and the closing was postponed 2 times and only notify us hours away from it. Pros: Community is quiet. The house is fairly build.

We are hoppy to move in to our new house, unfortunately there are still alot of thing need to be done. My tip is to hire a private inspector and a realtor when purchasing a home, brand new or not. Make sure you dont need to rush on your closing date so that the builder will finish everything before moving in.

My begining experience was very good but contractor and building experience is frustate. Material for make this house low quality I didn' any kb homes people to toldk about low quality materials and contractor alwys make me frustate . I closed my november 25 2022 but contractor installed blinder and screen fully . Contracotr installed blinder last 1/20/233 and screen last 10 days but not fully and lot of small issue have to fix but contractor don't do another issue contractor use electric wire out of wall on my garage door . it can't be even he didn't use any cover for electric wire. Our build took 10-11 months and we received several updates that were inaccurate during the process. There were several occasions where work was advised to have been completed but was not. The quality of the build was nothing spectacular and there are plenty of flaws due to KB’s choice of contractors. We have been in the home for two months and we are still waiting for issues to be corrected; such as the lawn being replaced due to dead, weed infested grass being installed. Also, we were in the home for a month and we found out that our blinds were never ordered until we had already been in the home for 3 weeks but we paid for the blinds during our design process. Thankfully the supplier of the blinds was willing to prioritize our order due to the lack of dependability with KB. Issues with construction take too long to be corrected. Construction manager is eager to help with issues, but once he passes the information to higher up, it seems to drag on.

Close to two months after closing and still getting things fixed. Getting YES to death and wanting issues resolved. I still cannot give a good review with things still needing repaired.

As a general builder, my KB Homes experience was good. Great salesmen. Very personable and knowledgeable. The experience was not the same after the closing. The lack of communication was the most frustrating part. With mw knowing how the work with contractors can be, it was exhausting trying to get things resolved because of the lack of follow-through. The only saving grace was the salesman (Jim) having to get involved to try and assist in coordinating things to be resolved. If it wasn't for him, I would give KB a zero!!!!!!!!!

Finance took too long with certain documents which caused the closing to be delayed several times. The house is not fully complete and there were many flaws in the home. Found poor quality work and many items needed to go through warranty. It seemed like a rushed home. Still waiting on items to be taken care of even though several months have gone by since living in the home. Majority of the items owner had call the contractors for each job directly. It felt like I was doing someone else’s job.

It was a frustrating process with multiple builder delays only to be left with incomplete items.

The sales experience was good. During the build, some issues were brought up and were either VERY slow to address or never addressed at all. Clearly the sub-contractors rushed through their work to go on to the next job at the expense of sloppy, mediocre workmanship. Attention to detail is lacking. Communication was poor, to include nearly non-existent follow-up. Maybe this is all KB specific, or maybe it is industry wide with all the big builders. Either way, KB could do so much better by simply hiring a construction manager who was competent, organized, and communicates often and well.
