Before we sign the contracts for the new home we told the KB agent that we will be adding a second name to the tile and was told that we could add that person during the signing at the title company. When the signing day came was told by the title company that KB has to amendment our contract. So we went back to the KB agent told them what happen and was told by the agent that they can not provide amendment or change the contract. Which will create additional cost for us to hire a lawyer to deed our title . Also we were require 50k in earnest money deposit compare to our other home purchase that was 7-10k by a different builder. The construction Manager spent a good amount of time wth us on the final walk through and after getting moved in tp acwuaint us with the new home and its many functions. He was of great assistance.

We had a great experience with being led through the home building process step by step. The design studio had lots of options that allowed us to upgrade as much as we wanted and customize our home. Our sales rep, Sherry, helped us with our paperwork, helping us submit our big options just the right way, answered thousands of our questions, sent us weekly photos and updates, and followed through to and after with our back landscaping, keys, etc. Our construction superintendent was amazing. He went over every detail of the build with us, answered all our questions no matter how silly, found and fixed issues quickly, and went way beyond 100% in his efforts to make this a great experience for us. Beyond all, Wes was genuine and really cared about the quality of the job and our satisfaction. The process was pretty simple and the timeline that was provided for our new bill to be finished was accurate. The sales office was always accommodating and welcoming, and honest about different questions we had including upgrades. Once the final walk-through was complete and we moved in, that’s when he realize the quality of work and craftsmanship left much to be desired. Overall, we felt slightly disappointed after moving into our new home. However, these are usually single-family starter homes so somewhat to be expected.

KB never sent us our AC warranty. When we called to address the issue they just said it had expired even tho it was their fault for not sending it. Now we have no AC warranty. The tree in the front was dead before moving in and never replaced it. When I called they just said they cant do it. Our garage door has been defective for 3 months. Three mechanics have come and still haven’t fixed the door. The quality of the work is horrible and cheap. Pipes are made of plastic and not copper which means they won’t last long before they break or leak. The exterior stucco is already falling off and the exterior paint is already patchy. Baseboards and door frames are cheap, out of angle, and chipped. They claim the interior paint is flat alabaster but it feels like cheap primer and gets dirty by just looking at it. Smoke alarms go off for no reason sometimes even with brand new batteries. Not a single window is leveled and the have mud bumps which causes gaps thru my blinds allowing light to get thru. Stairs handrail is not the color I paid for and superintendent said it was even tho I showed him a picture of what I ordered they push you to believe that you’re wrong so you keep the product. There were defectively stained cabinets which I paid extra for, but the superintendent said he could not replace them and we had to keep them. I’m never buying from KB again and can’t wait to sell this cheap house. I feel like I’ve been robbed/scammed. Customer service is horrible and nobody has answers. I can’t remember how many times they said “I don’t know”. I need to get out of this house ASAP. The buying process was easy, as expected since they just wanna get paid. Overall a good experience! Some bumps along the way, but it was mostly expected. People at the sales office tired hard to be helpful, but there are a few miscommunications and mistakes which took a lot of time to correct. On the other hand, KB home offers a good value for homebuyers with a lot of basic amenities included in the price, especially if you are a first time home owner.

KB Homes keep well connected with its clients. Their sales team kept me updated about the progress almost every week. Their Design team is very knowledgeable, helpful. They built the house weeks prior to the expected timeframe. One thing I like to suggest-- improve interior painting workmanship. Too thin coated paint makes it very flimsy and leave mark on the wall in case hit by even any soft bag. Few on-line video about how to complete warranty documentations, whom to contact (there are many parties involved--manufacturer, installer, KB reps) will help the home owners and reduce the number of phone calls to KB home CS. ... We've been very pleased with the new house and service that KB Home has provided. We've been looking for a house that met our preferences, and it checked all the boxes and more. We're glad that we made the choice to go with them, finally we've found our forever home.

Kimara was great agent to have she was with me until I close the escrow. She even check on me after the closing escrow.

My experience with KBHomes turned horrific right after giving my deposit. Our home was to be ready in about 8 months but 2 weeks after my deposit we only had 2 weeks to make decisions on upgrades which in my case turned out to be $45k which i also had to make another deposit on top of the earnest money. which turned out to be over $53k from there it became a nightmare i was at their mercy i could not cancel they had me . They don’t care about the quality of their work , they rush and it’s all about the mighty dollar. Their designs sucks my bathroom door on the first floor hits the toilet seat incredibly you would think this guys would avoid that but they just don’t give a crap. Their stupid studio they call does not have what they display we had to choose a different tile color and size, i had no choice i didn’t want a sink with cabinet on first bathroom i wanted a pedestal like i have at my home and these idiots force me to get it which cost me more money. walk thru we had to do 3 so they can get it right paint all over my tile, scuffed marks on the walls i finish with this . Small gated community in a quiet area of Henderson. Still being constructed. Many nearby attractions and shopping. Well constructed home and builders resolve any issues quickly. Sales staff and construction team are always concerned with your satisfaction.

Everyone involved was amazing. From the beginning, the sellers agents, through the KB lending experience to the builders and super. We would buy from KB again.

I was warned not to buy a KB Home and now I’m warning you. The craftsmanship is horrible. The sales agent and general contractors grossly misleads buyers. They have completely ruined my first home buying experience. You cannot get them to honor parts of the warranty. Purchase with a Pulte, Lennar or other builder. Trust me!!!

Sales team were courteous, polite and responsive. Design Center was ok. Construction Superintendent was fair, at best. I was a cash buyer. No special interest rate, incentive or promotional allowance for me even though most buyers got something. I was promised an $8000 design center credit for paying cash but it was taken away less than 24 hours later because you guys had an overnight price increase and I switched from financing to cash the very next day after signing my purchase agreement. It was handled wrong by your staff. Your sales agent suggested we write the purchase agreement for financing as I was undecided as I could always switch to cash if I decided to. The very next day I decided I’d pay cash and take the $8000 studio credit…. And all the sudden that credit was no longer available. That was wrong and I will not recommend KB to anyone because of it. Some design center choices were very limited and the option prices were excessive. But, it was convenient one-stop shopping. The inability to even have my closet shelves installed a little higher or lower was irritating. Not having input on what $5 plants got stuck in my front yard was disappointing. KB has a successful formula and cranks out thousands of homes with their system. But, homeowners would probably like to see a little more flexibility from the builder. The finished neighborhood is not that nice. Perhaps KB should charge an extra $500 but provide nicer front yard landscaping. Optional pavers, side yard and backyard landscaping packages would provide a more consistent look and a nicer neighborhood thus making for a better finished product. ... More
