We feel that the workmanship is not too good, because we can feel many nails on the edges of the carpets. so we use hammer to make the nails flat . and also the sliding door of the bathroom was not installed properly , but after moving it was fixed.

Time to correct warranty issues is excessive. Six weeks to have a missing medicine cabinet installed and front door adjusted so smart lock will work. Still waiting. Still waiting on replacement kitchen cabinet doors almost two months after closing. Repair of electrical outlet that was covered by sheetrock resulted in another two week wait to fix damaged sheetrock. Sheetrock and paint repairs have only met the minimum and do not really match original.

Needs improvement on the quality of finishings upon turnover making sure that everything is finished.Needs to update some options and designs for more modern customize look.Needs improvement on addressing issues un a tumely manner.

They were great during the first month but after we were having issues already. It seemed like they rushed with the building of the house.

The finished product was sloppy, especially the paint job Roof was not complete at walkthrough

The house at first looks good but when you pay attention to the details, you find the errors. they need to pay more attention to the final details

Closing got pushed back 3x. Multiple issues during walkthrough that ended up with 3 walkthrough prior to closing. Continued issues with home even after closing

The value of the house was great, but the quality control of the workmanship was poor and responses to issues didn't get fix in a timely manner.

Material are very cheap and break fast

Homebuyers should keep in mind that they are not just buying but building the home of their dreams. As much as there is a Purchase Agreement, homebuyers should be more aware and should have a full understanding of what the terms truly are. There are provisions based on a timeline. However, if you are not 100% decided nor are you 100% satisfied with the product, you do not need to accept or agree with anything.

I was happy buying a new home but now after a couple months I am feeling somewhat discriminated, there was options which was never offered or told I could get, I did some research with a few neighbors and found out they were offered those options to them.

The quality of work is unsatisfactory. I have to hire my own inspector to inspect the work that they do. JD - the superintendent does not return phone calls on time or does not attend to your needs or questions. He told me that he is to update me once a week but never did. Sometimes he doesn’t even call you back. I have to get the help from my realtor or KB home realtor to get my questions answered. New superintendent took over at the end, who did my final walked through, his name is Mike. Mike has an excellent customer service. He listen to my needs and helps me at the end. My wife and I found Aurora Heights about ten months ago as a developing community. The first impressions were very grand. The salesmen seemed nice and personable and we really liked the floorplans available. We put our deposit down fairly quickly and took a dive commited to buying our first home. We were assured that the home would be ready long before our lease ran out and that we would have no issued getting into our home. The first issue arose with the design studio. We were given a choice between two days. The salesman had them on speaker phone as we chose the day and he wrote it down at the same time that my wife wrote it in her own notes. I burned a day of leave and so did my wife so we could make the appointment. When we showed up we were turned away because the secretary that booked us apparently scheduled us for the wrong day. I wanted to walk away then but my wife talked me off the ledge. The second issues came up right at the beginning of the COVID shut down, only I wasn't aware quite yet. The salesman called me to inform me that the homes weren't going to be worked on for an unforseen duration. My wife and decided that this was the point where we should walk away. I called the salesman to tell him the news and he talked me off the ledge yet again, assuring me that he had just found out the homes were back to being worked on in full force. "Business as usual" was the term he used. My wife and I spend the next few weeks in apprehension as we visited the home each Sunday, noting no major progress being done after a certain point. Then about three weeks out from the scheduled walk, which had already been pushed back once, the salesman calls me to tell me the cabinet company was reopening finally. I was never informed that the suppliers were down. I was straight up lied to so that I would not walk away. We barely made it out of our apartment before the lease was up and had we not made it out, they would have raised our rent by 800 dollars a month as a sales tactic meant to force us into a new lease. The cabinets finally went in and we walked the house. The workmanship is subpar all around but I have conceded to the fact that it is due to me having rushed the project. There are in even lines and over spray from rushed paint jobs. Molding with inadequate caulking, parts of the molding in the bathroom was never even installed, a few of the cabinet doors didn't even match and the list goes on. All this explains why the builder was so addement that I don't bring an inspector with me for our final walk. I know multiple people searching for new builds, but I would never refer some one to use KB home. I know it's probably all mostly due to COVID19 but I am still a little salty. 2020 is a year where customer service in nearly every large company decided to take a nose dive and KB home was no exception to that theory. The home is overall nice, but I believe you could get a home just a nice with some one like DR Horton or Beezer and also have adequate treatment from the employees setting things up for you. ... good to know things are new but not alway used the best products when getting the Basic features

Have nothing but good things to say about KB Home sales staff! Helpful from beginning to end. That being said, it's been nothing but frustration getting things fixed and fixed correctly. Poor workmanship and no response are the main issues.

I went with the one stop shopping with KB and thought that was a great idea and it was up until the end. The mortgage company stinks! They don’t communicate in anyway. I was very nervous with making my first mtg pyt, setting up their online payment and through the whole process they never communicated once. A good thing I kept checking the site then I had to email them to see something wasn’t set up right. I went through every other company (utility) and they were awesome, but not this mtg company. What a sad way to end what was a good experience.

Sales team was great. Finance team was ok. Service team was poor.

Unresponsive to call or text

Superintendent was the person who stand out the most. Price of home was decent. But starting to see cheap materials were used

From the day I moved in, many things were already broken. The materials used feel very cheap, and everything seems to break easily. Even months later, the problems remain unresolved, and responsiveness to issues has been very poor.

Quality of work is kind of substandard. Stucco paint fell off in my front of the house. Laundry door is not shutting properly and misalign. A few items that was not being install during the walkthrough I have to go back to my list contract to provide those item. Nails found in our backyard . carpet installation not install properly and some other issues not to mention. Noted that this is my 2nd KB home that I purchase probably my last one. In fairness Troy, Chad and Klay are very helpful and professional.

I recently moved to vegas and was able to see the build on a regular basis. I identified way too many issues during the build that would have been detrimental if waited until after the final walk through. For starters, I paid to have the entire house insulated, all interior walls also. We had a wind storm one weekend after the insulation was in place causing it to blow out and all over the house as well as outside. The following week, they started drywall but no one replaced the missing insulation! I used a hanger to slide through the joints to show the contractor after the drywall had been screwed into place. There is more spots missing as I am starting to find hollow sound/temp changes. But it should have not been dry walled if they saw insulation blown all over the place. Next, the corners were to be sharp edge 90° corners. They were mudding the walls when I noticed they were bullnose not what I asked for. Again no QC. I was told there was not an AC unit available for my house and asked if I would accept a temp to close and a replacement would come later. I declined but miraculously a unit was installed. I don’t think this is my unit but I am not an HVAC guy. It looks like the units from 10 years ago. Also, The window frames were cracked in multiple places but they only patched them with vinyl patch. My light switches are far from where they “normally” would be expected, to include the master bathroom switch is located under my towel rack!!! …. I am addressing issues that I am still finding… I been reaching out but after 3 emails to Customer service over 10 days, I finally had someone respond and now I have repairs scheduled for this week. It was over 9 months to build, they could have taken a few extra days to ensure quality was behind the build process… very disappointed to the point I wish I would have not closed on the house and just waited for a different opportunity to build…. ... My loan officer Vanessa Francis was beyond amazing. I loved working with her, she was the only reason I didn’t pull out of my deal. I’ll never purchase another KB home.

Did care for the loan process. Came into home three months left of building, As someone backed out of purchase. The lay out I have, I don’t care for. Not as functional as it should be. The work was rushed. Not worth the price I paid. In a situation I was in, I was ready just to have a home and I settled. KB could be better, my first home build from them was good. Not this time around. The maintenance supervisor, Glen, watching over the build process is great and helpful. That’s my only positive experience this time around.

Lived in my house less than 45 days and multiple things have broken, my garage wouldn’t work and then my washing machine broke. Brand new washing machine and trying to figure out who to contact and if it was under warranty or if I’m responsible to cover costs was frustrating. Everyone was pointing fingers at each other. I love my house but I feel like as a new build less than 60 days living in it I shouldn’t be having these many problems already.
