Overall good buy. Material quality is barely average. Upgrades are pricy.

While there were some small issues with the build quality for the flooring, some of the appliances, and the plumbing, the overall home buying experience from KB homes was worth the price.

I need to say 100% satisfied with the service of the construction manager, New Home Sales Counselor, and Loan Department. The materials are good but could be better. The Responsiveness to issues is fast but not necessary the results are as we asked. The construction workers don't have enough attention to the details. Issues that I want to share with no resolution at our favor.: Asking for a better more capacity AC unit ( I will pay the cost difference), a lot of construction debris over already installed appliances (we asked for microwave replacement) and very bad quality grass. One thing I do agree is when something is wrong they fix it right away. the buying experience was awesome. the sales team were amazing. The onsite contractor was good just promised to many ting he couldn't deliver. so that why I gave it three stars on trustworthiness. We have been in our new home a couple months are enjoying it. This is my 3rd new build so I don’t know if I’m just picky but lots of paint overspray on the tile floors I’m finding throughout the home and messiness in lines of grout and paint on doors, I’ve asked for extra paint stock at least half dozen times and still have yet to get it. I went in with a huge amount of upgrades on cabinets, Quartz countertops and other major items but just went with the standard plumbing in kitchen and bathrooms and installed them ourselves due to the overpricing by the design center. Structurally I am happy with the home, but the cleaning and some labor functions I would say need to be perfected since we spend a lot of money on these homes and I expect precision in the completion of the home . I like my single story home very much. I bought the 1849 model. One issue I have is that I wish the company would build single story homes near each other instead of being sandwiched in between gigantic two story homes. Also the basic home too expensive to start out with since the buyer is absolutely compelled and finds it necessary to upgrade. ... More

Service is very good, fast and of good quality. There were several minor issues when we just moved in, such as heating and the master bedroom door. They could have been prevented.

Numerous drainage issues in front and side yards and am tired of the same old answer of this is Florida and if water standing more than 48 hours it is ok. Part of front yard and sides are a constant mud pit.

Staff is helpful and friendly

The services is getting better.

Home is great still waiting for reply back from Customer Service.

We are new to AZ and kbhome, we love our new home and town.

There was some last minute mess ups or things that were done at the last minute. Some stuff that was rushed that I didn't bother them to fix. Figured it was being "picky". I wish on some things I would have asked or spoken up about. Examples: My grass is really spotty and I have to pay to water extra because it was neglected when put it. 2: They messed up on my front porch and had to repaint it and paint is all over my mulch. 3: The different colors on the house is uneven and not straight( sloppy). 4: Some door a slightly crooked and need to be fixed still. ... the foam outside is terrible and the plants were not very well taken care of, but overall the house is fantastic.

expected better finish than delivered. Ok, but not great. small things not up to par. Need someone on site before closing to review the complete structure for finish - paint, flooring, install etc. House was not up to standards or readiness and cleanliness. Jess saved the day at closing. ... More

I do not recommend buyers to go with KBHS lending. They are awful to work with. They do not communicate well with the home buyer to the sales office to the Title company. It’s hard to reach them and only via email. From sales office to customer service to construction, they were great to work with. ... More

Important to be fully engaged in the production process. Pay attention to details and take proper notes: who, when, where, and why. Especially the pre-walk-thru, and final walk-thru before closing. Punch list completion after closing is onerous, some issues still open six (6) weeks after closing. ... More
