Too short time to consider buying this house!

very good experience working with KB

We didn't get to go through the whole experience from beginning to end because we bought an inventory home. Everything was great except the fact that we never talked to the Construction Manager until 2 weeks before closing. The salesmen was wonderful and called us every week. But we are enjoying the home.

Overall my experience could have been so much better. Missing the little details that could have made it a truly great experience. With that said my agent Tabitha was good however when she was transferred to another location it took away the attention to details.

Check everything before you move in walls, floors ceilings and diagram. For the most they were pretty fast to come fix the items that were wrong.

I recently had the experience of building a home with KB Home, and overall, I was very happy with the process. The company was professional and efficient, and they kept me updated on the progress of my home throughout the construction process. I also appreciated the fact that KB Home offered a variety of customization options, so I was able to make my home exactly what I wanted it to be. However, there were a few areas where I felt that KB Home could improve. For example, the execution of some of the finishing details was not as good as I would have liked. There were a few small mistakes, such as bad paint jobs, lack of attention to details, roof leaks and cabinets that lacked proper painting. Overall, I would still recommend KB Home to anyone who is looking to build a new home. However, I would advise them to be vigilant of the execution and finishing details. If you are willing to do that, you will be very happy with your KB Home purchase. Here are some tips for being vigilant of the execution and finishing details during your KB Home building experience: Be present during the construction process as much as possible. This will give you a chance to see the work being done and make sure that everything is being done to your satisfaction. Ask questions if you see anything that you are not sure about. The construction team should be happy to answer your questions and explain the process to you. Keep a detailed record of any problems or concerns that you have. This will help you if you need to file a warranty claim later on. Things went well overall - spec home didn't play a big part in the building process.

Took a few month more to complete the home, but over all it's done and I'm enjoying it.

My preparation from Texas was great, I could not believe how smooth the process went. I was disappointed on the initial walk thru at the number of issues that needed to be done. But all the people I dealt with were awesome and willing to help in any way they could. It would have been nice if all the construction was complete, especially when the houses are so close together. I would have liked more choices on the flooring as I am not a big fan of carpet in the main living areas. I still have a few issues to be resolved and because of all the work still needed to be done in the area, it makes it harder to get issues resolved. I love the location of my house, it would have been even better if my back yard faced the mountains. ... More

We love our home, especially the upgrades we made! We had two issues, one was with the finance side and not being as upfront as we would hope (apparently that person has been let go since then), second was that we had to wait two weeks past our final inspection to move into the home due to Edison not installing our meter on time. Other than those issues our overall experience with KB was great!

Bring your realtor or trusted friend with construction and design knowledge along with you during different phases, and walk thru's. Make a list of items that need clarification (buyer and sales staff), get some trusted outside opinions.

The sales person jason & supervisor Ray are very nice in response to any issue.

It was a wonderful experience

Overall experience was good. I was extremely happy with the construction crew, especially John.

Great sales in Cristina and super great construction manager Enrique!!! They kept me informed and were my advocate in all!

I like KB Home a lot. Sales rep is responsive; design center offer is customizable. I understand the complications of construction, but I am not having a good experience recently. I closed my home at the end of Mar. the first week after closing, heavy rain came and my neighboring sites mud flooded to mine. 1/3 of my yard has been buried since then. I communicated with construction and warranty so many times, but it is early/mid Jun now, my yard is still buried. It is hard to move around the yard and the standing water raised tons of mosquitoes. I need this to be fixed ASAP, but I don’t know how. ... More

KB was easy to work with and answered every concern we had.

Got our home as a inventory. It was nice with some upgrades already.
