There were some things needing attention that were taken care of in a timely matter. I love my house

The process was good. I found it disappointing from the get-go that if our real estate agent was not present on first visit they would not be allowed on the purchase contract. This cost me several thousand dollars on the start with no going back, despite using their preferred agents. The building process was good and relatively quick despite the early stages of the pandemic. The builder overseeing my home was outstanding and fixed everything I requested, within the bounds of KB's very tight leash. The design center had plenty of options despite being highly overpriced, I performed the same upgrades myself at 25% of the cost. The primary down point was when I was up-sold by HomePro for a internet/cable provided conduit that ended up being useless due to a failure for the company to communicate with the installers from AT&T. Great experience with KB homes

Everyone was very helpful and knowledgeable.

The experience from buying to move-in was well managed by the KBHome selling agent and the building superintendent. They were very attentive to my needs and many questions.

The experience was a good one.

I bought my house during COVID-19, when things were crazy and uncertain. They did their best to deliver the full customer service experience given the social distancing limitations. My sales consultant was very accommodating and quick to respond to questions/emails. She also sent periodic pictures of the progress. On the financing/paperwork side, I was a little confused and disappointed. Both of my loan experts got changed on me mid-purchase, which led to a lot of re-sending of things already sent, confusion, and frustration. My final down payment amount changed 3 times in one day (after I had already secured the cashier’s check). There was a shortage of appliances during this time and I had ordered a refrigerator for the house from the design studio. The fridge wouldn’t be ready in time for closing so they provided me with a loaner fridge, which I was then able to keep. There was then a lot of confusion and miscommunication about delivery of my other fridge. I was given a delivery date by one construction manager which we had planned for Thanksgiving week when I was off of work. When the day came, it turns out that the fridge had been sent back and the construction manager had left the company without communicating the fridge issue with anyone else. I spoke with the warranty guy who got right onto the problem. He put me in touch with the regional construction manager who then tried to troubleshoot the delivery of the fridge. The problem was that it could only be delivered the following week when I would be back at work. The regional construction manager was very accommodating about that. The fridge was actually delivered at about 9 that morning. Apparently it was guarded all day while it sat in my driveway. When I got home from work at 4, there were about 5 guys here ready to move the other fridge and install the new one! I was very impressed and pleased with willingness of everyone to go above and beyond to right something that was essentially beyond their control! I appreciate customer service the most and Bill was amazing throughout the process. He always promptly responded to my questions and was on top of everything. I knew everything that was going on with the house building process. The house itself is also beautiful. The only negative thing I have to say is that there were definitely some things that could have been done better as far as painting and cleaning up better but even with that, they were very good at coming back and fixing those issues which I was very happy about. Having had experience with both spec homes and custom-built homes, KB did an overall excellent job building this home, given the circumstances of the Covid shutdowns. We would have liked more variety in our optional items; and a little quicker response to our punch list needs.

Good experience in new home buying

We love our home and all the features. We were happy to be able to personalize the floorplan as well as the materials. There is room for improvement on the overall finishing of the home but KB has been working with us to ensure that all details are taken care of.

Awesome though the progress

We were very fortunate in that we were able to purchase a model home and everything was completed by the time that we moved in. However, make sure to inspect your home as frequently as possible. There were/still are many issues that have seemed to arise from the house being completed very quickly and early on. While KB has been AWESOME as responding to all of these issues thus far as they have come up, there are were/are many nagging things (and one BIG thing) that had/has to be fixed before we feel really able to settle in. Don't get me wrong, we love our home, but do your due diligence.

A lot of the workmanship of the home was crooked or off-center when it came to the construction crew. Overall, great for the price! Love the area we chose and couldn’t have asked for more. I enjoyed working with KB home representatives as well because they were always friendly and responsive!

Post closure on our home we had a number of small items that needed repair, mostly because we rushed our closing and with COVID19 they did not have time and manpower to due a thorough punch list walk through. But once we brought it to their attention they worked hard to repair the minor damages and items and were a pleasure to work with.

Cabinet had to be refinished because of damage. Lights in kitchen stopped working about 3 weeks into living here

Overall we are very happy with our purchase from KB, however the responsiveness to getting the items fixed from our walk through has been a bit slow and tedious. We were also not informed correctly about the monthly cost of the HOA payment earlier this year, which was unfortunate, at best. Overall, Kb has been a pleasant to partner with and we are satisfied with the company and our new neighborhood.

the virtual design studio was not the best experience.

My home is everything and more. My only issues were delayed start and then waiting for the concrete. Other than that this has been an amazing process and my home is beautiful. The superintendent is amazing and stays in touch every step of the way. Thank you KB for giving me my beautiful home!

Overall a good experience with KB Homes

Everything was great until I found a crack down the middle of my front por ch. I was concerned about the comet made after that that I should just wait cuz I'll get cracks all over the place as the house settles. Before that everything have been wonderful. now I'm concerned about the cracks in the drywall and everything else that's going to happen.

There was never a time we could not communicate or hear what we had to say. Uncontrollable issues were updated continuously. Options were on the table as necessary to keep us updated.

We had a great experience with Justin as far as building was concerned. He was quick to answer any questions and address any issues. I would recommend him to anyone looking to build a home!
