I received my house on September 27, 2024 and to date they have not fixed all the defects that my house has. The last repair date is for next November 20, 2024, I hope they finally finish with all the details they left in my house

KB is great, but unfortunately not so great at correcting deficiencies. I have been waiting for several issues (i.e. siding, tile, plumbing, fence, gate, garage floor detailing, drainage) to get corrected. Some issues were (partially) corrected while others have been completely ignored. There is a need for better quality workmanship. Terrible work on the backyard fence and gate. Drainage is not a thing to KB. If you buy from KB I strongly recommend you get all issues resolved before you move in. Otherwise, issues may not get resolved. Once again, I love my home but not the quality of the work. It seems as if contractors are in a hurry to get done and move on to the next project, sacrificing the quality of the work. I think is unfair to KB as their contractors could do a better job inspecting and making sure workers are not doing what I consider to be "Extremely messy work". ... More

Multiple issues that are not getting fixed.horrible quality checkers, sloppy all over.

Do not fill out any surveys until at least 30 days after closing. I emphasize do not fill out that survey at closing. Project managers need accommodate buyers working schedules and meet after 5pm and possibly weekends just like sales. Buyers shouldn't need to loose pay to schedule fixes to poor workmanship and sub standard materials

Too many issues, hectic experience. I could not honestly recommend this builder.

Construction work & material is very unacceptable. Wall cracks within one month. Nail inside carpet is too bad for resident's safety

I’m if you waiting to come and fix behind the old oven since the day I moved. They told me that they will take care of the issue ASAP. I’m still waiting.

These homes are built extremely fast and that comes with plenty of issues. Also comes with lack of quality of the home. These homes are pretty expensive and I have not been pleased with the quality of the construction work and the responsiveness from the construction team to get certain details of the time fixed.

As a first time homebuyer I thought buying new would keep me from having to fix things. That has not been the case. I have a garage that gets wet when it rains, dinged and scratched “upgraded cabinets” that were “fixed” instead of being replaced, the siding in my entryway looks horrible, a chunk of concrete missing from entry way, scratches on most doors throughout the house, hollow sections of the flooring, nicked bathtub, missed grout spots on bathrooms, nails sticking out the trim, paint on door hinges throughout the house, scratches on sliding door, the garage floor is cracking, etc. So far, the people that have come out to fix some of these issues just patch things up and sometimes end up looking the same. ... There are indeed problems with the quality of the house. Many areas need to be repaired. The lock on the door has fallen off many times and the door is damaged. The main problem is that the house will tremble whenever a large car passes by!

The loan processor and agent Corey were helpful and responded to all my questions timely. The sales agent Susan was great as well. The issue is dealing with warranty. I have paint that is cracked, baseboards that are damaged, missing caps on the rain caps on the roof, scratched sink…the list goes on. I submitted these concerns in October and none have been resolved. I was given an in person appointment October 11th so I guess we’ll see how that works out.

We love our home in Gold Canyon, AZ. Structurally the house is sound but the trade work inside is not up to par for what you spend on these homes. Make sure you get an independent inspector to inspect the work along the way and it would be valuable to have a realtor to advocate for you! It’s a must if you want to stay on top of the whole process. The Forman and salesman were nice but communication was severely lacking. KB Homes can do better to make sure the homes they build are top of the line for the cost.

Quality Check is not done properly. Many things have issues.

Things do not get fixed. Beautiful house love my home but no follow through

Great floor plan, looks great from a distance. Final finishes are not up to anyone’s standards quality control definitely lacks

Home is beautiful, however, there were a lot of little details that did not meet my expectations for the price paid. Cabinets had issues, crown molding had issues, flooring seems uneven in some areas.

I WISH THE QUALITY OF WORKMANSHIP TO BE BETTER, SO I WILL NOT HAVE THAT MANY ISSUES WITH WARRANTY DEPARTMENT. I CLOSED MY ESCROW ALMOST 2 MONTHS, THE ISSUES ARE STILL THE SAME.

Sales staff are the best, but unfortunately the attention for other people with issues and concerns have to be better.

House still incomplete. Missing shower and cabniet trim. Never given updates, I have to call in and ask what's going on and no one ever seems to know.

KB was real quick to try to get the homes done that they hired the fastest yet obviously cheapest contractors and tried to get it done in sloppy record speed.. Overall, it's liveable and I AM ultimately happy with my home although it's been nearly two months since closing and still waiting on all (somewhat minor) repairs to be fixed. I'm having to take off half a days work (which will likely turn into two half days if I suspect we're working with the same contractors) to deal with what should have been addressed with the contractors themselves prior to move in, but I digress.. Aside from all that, salesmen Jack was absolutely great to work with although is no longer there. My finance rep John made the buying process easy-breezy. Building reps Kelly and Alyssa are doing everything they can to get items addressed and fixed so I can finally really be comfortable and happy in my own home. I feel like a lot of the issues I'm having to deal with is partly out of their hands and feel bad for being annoyed at this process but they've been doing a great job with what they have and I thank them for listening and understanding. Above all, I am happy with my home and just can't wait for the adjustments/fixes to be made and really feel at home in my home. With all that being said, would I recommend purchasing with KB Homes? Yes but I hope they take into account all their customers feedback and take take-away needless issues to avoid for the next person.. Thanks ... More

this House is good, but the Build quailty is shoddy, the walls break easily. etc etc The doors are Plastic. Our previous home was made by KB and the old house was better than this....

Overall, the experience was subpar. Everything was going great in the process up until the point we signed our purchase agreement. After that, we went to studio and picked out all of our upgrades. Options were mispoken for, for ex: sprinkler system/gutters not included and were told they were. We upgraded to all gas appliances and upgraded appliance options and somehow they mistakenly did not include gas drop ins for our most important appliances such as the dryer and double connvection oven. We paid an additional $6700 for upgraded vinyl flooring that was terribly placed in some sections(you can feel the vinyl move.) we paid an additional $3400 for our countertops and they were misplaced and uneven with completely obvious and terrible placement seams. Our kitchen cabinetry was not flush with the wall and our cabinet sticks out from the too of the cabinet and retreats into the wall about half ways in. We have cracks in evidently every room downstairs as well as some upstairs cracks as well. Our upstairs tub was likely not plum becsuse it drains extremely slower than all of our other tubs. Our sod/plants were dead upon recieving our home and were told they'd be replaced as soon as we moved in, but a month later we were still waiting for them to get estimates to replace it and not guarenteed that they'd fix it after they told us they would. We ultimately decided to come out of pocket to replace the dead sod and install a sprinkler system. We've been told straight up that the new drywall contractors will not come fix the last drywall contractors mistakes and that they're too busy to fix our issues. We were told all settlement cracks however the size are always addressed at the 10 month mark and not immediately. The date we tried to move in we noticed our furnace was not turning on and had to wait FOUR days for the "emergency line" to dispatch out an HVAC company to repair the furnace. The issue was diagnosed as a miswired unit, so it was impossible for KB Home to ever inspect and evaluate if the unit was even working before we were given the home. The walk through was fairly rushed so we could close on the property and to be frank the walk through was more just a highlight of the basic features of the home. We got bounced back from person to person and superintendent to superintendent until someone finally took the phase and finished it. Even so, we had an 18 month build. We purchased at the end of April 2022 and Closed Mid- October 2022. We didnt recieve the guarenteed closing date until two weeks prior. Getting them to schedule people accordingly to come make repairs has been a struggle because they never show on dates we are told. There is an underwhelming determination to help us fix the issues and it's almost like we are bothering them to fix issues that should have never existed and then persisted. It has been extremely frustrating to be told there is no time to help us with all these issues because they are too busy with other jobs. Its been over a month and many issues are still unresolved. We like our house, but we are just extrememly dissatisfied and disappointed in the worksmanship. Everywhere we look, there is something wrong. I dont think any new home owner would appreciate that. KB Finance was okay. They were attentive and tried to help to the best of their abilities. ... More

So many things wrong with the house. Sloppy workmanship on cabinets, baseboard, patio door and carpet. Getting so many appointments scheduled to fix things that should have been done right the first time is cutting into my work schedule and making it hard to get to doctors appointments. So I’m just done. I’m so tired of trying to schedule and reschedule these appointments and have people interfere with my workday that I will likely just leave many items as they are instead of having them fixed.

Materials are fine but they don’t check their work very well. Poor workmanship and I have to keep asking for updates on the fix because no one keeps up with anything.

Very disappointed for trust in their words.
