Buying a KB home was easy. The only problem we ran into was the Losn office.

Well Thad Kathy Anthony were exceptional. House buying was great. House issues are still getting fixed but they’re always on it. I’m happy with everything. They have done a good job taking care of me with my house issues. Thank you all.

My experience with KB homes was pleasant.

Closing was delayed due to a water pressure issue that should have been foreseeable. We have over $1 million in escrow for more than a week that could have been earning 5.4% interest.

Home buying process was easy and went smooth. With that said, KB Home Loans are not even competitive with their rates. We were given a $15k closing cost credit to assist with buying down the rate and the entire $15k had to be used to get anywhere near other loan companies with no buy down. Materials on the house were also decent but it seems as if the house was made in a rush. Attention to detail was not given on a good amount of items in the house. During the first 30 days we had an individual in the community to assist with anything that was wrong before we had to use the actual warranty process and that individual was over almost everyday to fix small things in the house. ... When buying a new home get ready to go from 0 to 100 mph in a moment. Be on hand to watch you house being built if possible. Write down or take good notes and ask questions a lot of questions. Our sales represent David did and awesome job keeping us informed and communicating with the builder of our concerns, working with our relator when it came to crunch time and always being available on his days off. Heather did a great job ensuring the project managers addressed our concerns. It is important that you pay great attention to the details of the construction process, take plenty of pictures before the house is closed in. Look at the crafts work and remember they or only working with the materials provided by the builder. Not every board is perfect this will be more evident when the project is near completion i.e. floors may not be solid when walked on, the walls may not be perfect and have bows, the windows when dry walled may not be true and will need to be floated in to appear square and if measuring for window blinds learn the correct way to measure them because the width at the top won't be the same as the middle or bottom, remember quality of materials. Watch for the quality of paint used the crafts are only as good as the product they are provided and the preparation of the materials. You are very lucking of have the yard fenced and grass installed. That being said, look at the quality of land if it is rocky with little dirt the build will use the minimal amount of soil 4" and install sod on top of that. The company that provides our turf recommended up 6" of soil with a fertilizer worked in before the turf was to be installed because of our soil condition. You will need to apply fertilizer within a month of moving in see the turf supplier's recommendation. Prior to closing have your house inspected by a third party it's worth the money remember these are new homes being built by the crafts and managed by project managers build multiple homes at one time things will get missed. The staff has great communication. And respond quickly to your issues. But th only bad note was the workers that were sent to repair/ fix the issues. Some had bad attitudes & some workers show no pride in there work & leave a mess.

Overall, we have a great experience with our KB home purchase. It was very smooth. The Superintendent and his crews have been very helpful from day one. They are very responsive and accommodating. We know that we can always count on them to get things addressed promptly and professionally. The KB Customer service is also great and helpful. They promptly address our inquiries and concerns. However, our experience with KB Home Insurance agency has not been that great.

We just bought our home and we love it, our PM Bryan made our moving experience much easier he is great, Thanks KB Home!

I enjoyed working with the finance Raul Cunes. He was the best part of the buying experience. We had a good time with the design center. They really were helpful in getting all of what we wanted. We also liked Melena our sales agent. We had some miss communication but in the end she came through.

My husband and I really enjoyed the overall kb home process and going to the design studio was one our favorite parts. Our sales person, was the only time we had any issues on trusting what he said. We've learned to make sure to get answers in writing. The superintendent, customer service rep., and all the various builder companies involved were great to work with and made sure repairs/concerns were resolved. Getting our own inspector for the construction phase was such hassle as we, ended giving up and just pointed out major concerns.

Working with KB but I wish I could say the same about KB Home loans and their underwriting process.

I like my KB townhome a great deal and find that the building is high quality and the supervisor is extremely helpful as I transition through the buying, moving and living process. I am extremely disappointed in KB home loan who sold the loan within two weeks and the Second lending institution sold the loan again. Two months living here and three banks. It’s outrageous that customers have to go through the inconvenience of chasing banks to pay their mortgage. This needs to be rethought and changed to focus on the Customer/buyer experience and not the money grab that comes with the continuous selling of mortgage loans. Process was easy. Small attention to details are lacking (caulking, paint, exterior details, etc). Overall, not bad.

Overall the experience was great! If possible I would go through KB once again. I even am telling family and friends to go through KB.

The sales and lending team were helpful and responsive throughout the buying process. Any issues we found upon move-in were addressed at our first month walkthrough. Energy star certification is a plus.

They guys have beeen great as well as page. Sergio and Juan and all the others that have come assist me.

We were looking forward to moving into something that was just ours and KB made that happen.

Initially customer service is very responsive, but about a month out I am still waiting for a hole in the driveway to be fixed and for my towel racks in my bathrooms to be fixed so that they don’t keep falling off. Also I’ve noticed that after a heavy rain the backyard floods and the drainage is slow, so I’ve been waiting for someone to respond concerning that issue.

After looking at existing and new construction homes in the Lakeland area, we came to the decision to buy a home in Hickory Ranch because of the quality of the homes, no CDD's, the smaller size of the community. So far we are overall satisfied with our decision, enjoying our new home and neighbors. We are still waiting on a few post-construction issues to be resolved with moving of sprinkler heads, resolving yard drainage issues and a few minor things, but all other issues have been resolved in a timely fashion. We are confident these issues will be resolved for us and our neighbors who share some of the same yard drainage issues. ... More

The construction supervisor got transferred and the construction issues are not addressed, there is no point of contact now.

First time buying a new home from the KB brand. Our previous home purchase was also a new home but from another builder. Needless to say we had some experience on the steps to follow when agreeing to purchase to move in. I must say that KB does have a good quality home and that we are very statisfied.

Pleased with my experience with KB homes

Love the house but had to wait 7 months for the build. Other houses in the neighborhood have gone up much faster. Like KB Home better than other builders in the area.
