Wonderful experience buying our first home. We absolutely love this community.

The entire process from start to finish took about 11 months from start to finish. At first it was very exciting chosing our lot and visiting the design center. But because of covid it turned into a horrible wait. We had multiple delays because of covid 19 and it made for a bad experience. I feel like the initial value that was proposed and what I actually got was kind of a bait and switch. A lot of the things that I was told were standard were not and I ended up having to pay a lot of money out of pocket to get things I thought I was already getting. Like lighting in every room and walls in specific places. The quality of the build is so so. I'm still having a lot of warranty issues where things were broken when I moved in and I have been in the house for 2 months and they still have not been fixed. The build team was excellent to work with and they have been trying their best to help me fix some of the reoccurring problems but you can tell they have better things to worry about and are very busy. If I had to pick one thing that I would like people to know it would be to be careful. The model has optional upgrades that aren't listed and aren't standard. They won't tell you about them till it's to late and you are already in the design center and your only choice is to pay for them or miss out on things that are kind of important. ... More

Overall a good experience with KB Homes

Some people keep their word others not so much.

Everything was great until I found a crack down the middle of my front por ch. I was concerned about the comet made after that that I should just wait cuz I'll get cracks all over the place as the house settles. Before that everything have been wonderful. now I'm concerned about the cracks in the drywall and everything else that's going to happen.

The home is super energy efficient and very well built. I know because I sold lumber and building materials for over 40 years. I also built several homes in Pennsylvania and know that KB homes are built with extra care and quality.

I and my wife made a tour around shopping for the best builder in the city for about 3 months. KB homes was outstanding. We were just lucky to get what we wanted for our dream home. We starting building our home from scratch and had the opportunity to visit KB home studio where we choose all the materials we wanted from our home. I am thankful to Deb the sales agent who loaded us with every information we needed to start and gave us the best of advise. Giving us updates regularly till the end of the building process. Thankful to for Michelle the loan office for her guidance in the very successful loan process. Answering all our questions satisfactorily and giving us updates, making sure we knew what to expect and helping us stay on track. We were amazed how her hard work brought us broad smiles during closing. Thankful to Bricio the energetic formidable building superintendent for transforming our little rough idea into a magnificent life dream home. He was the brain, eyes and ears of our home as it was being built and did our first and final walk through with us during the finishing and when everything was complete. He was pointing out things that we probably would not have noticed had he not been on top of it. We thank him for our beautiful home. Great building experience with KB. Meet all of the timelines, and the team kept us updated with photos and progress reports on a weekly basis.

Once you sign the purchase agreement get ready for delays, broken promises and costly mistakes that will most likely delay your closing. We have been in our home a month and a half, had to leave for 5 days for them to do the repair work to the house at the end of October and still have not received reimbursement as promised. Their vendors do NOT wear masks so beware of that if you are at high risk for COVID. Our solar is still not set up and the HOA rep does not respond for weeks at a time.

There was never a time we could not communicate or hear what we had to say. Uncontrollable issues were updated continuously. Options were on the table as necessary to keep us updated.

They are very professional, keeping you updated with any new development.Keep up the good work.
