I am a second time KB homeowner. This experience has been HORRIBLE. I have encountered multiple issues that were pointed out several weeks prior to closing. The issues pointed out, poor craftsmanship, wrong appliances installed, defective carpet installation, wrong size vanity for second bathroom, drywall application and upgraded painting application were all horrendous. I purchased a new home that should have the upgrades and appropriate workmanship I paid for. This is the biggest purchase I have ever made and has resulted in the biggest disappointment.

KB homes took 8 months longer to build that we were promised. The house was not ready at closing. We have been in our home two months and they still have not fixed anything. The workmanship is the worst I have ever experienced.

Outlets installed crooked. Garage cement 5 feet long cracks. Doors don’t lock properly. Window shutters weren’t installed until 3 weeks after we moved in. A motion sensor flood light that I paid for was replaced with a wall switch to turn on, not what I paid for. Just less than adequate overall workmanship.

Several delays in contract preparation, had to be redrafted due to several errors, issues in design studio where designers were unaware of all upgrade options, build time was over three months later than initially promised, moved in with a laundry list of contingencies that have STILL not yet been addressed after living here over 60 days. My 39 day inspection even came in after 45 days. Will not build with KB ever again.

KB’s warranty process is a nightmare

I found 30+ issues with including an upgrade missing I paid for, quality issues, defects, etc. I never got the soft close cabinets I paid for and there’s no urgency to fix this. My door frames to the rooms have warps and gaps so wide you can see to the other side with the door closed. They scratched my tiles really bad trying to install a wall oven pre-closing and didn’t use anything to protect the floors when they set it down and slid it around, etc. the list goes on to over 30+ things. My experience with KB homes has not been the greatest or happiest one. I have been in the house for 6 weeks and living “garage living” due to the massive issues I am experiencing. I believe KB is dealing with quantity and not quality as they used, this is my 4th KB home and I am not satisfied nor happy with the quality of their product. Bad experience buying house

It take more than 1 year to complete building my house. I was lie to by initial sale person than there was not material shortage and later found out not the case. Th workman ship is terrible. I had to hire home inspector top find 20 flaws. The front and back side concrete crack before we move in. The water heater van is leaking form the roof despite numerous effort to get it fixed. Do not recommended to buy house build by KB home.

It's been almost two month I have no dryer the replacement they brought doesn't work. The hot water was working fine when we moved inn and it completely stopped working i was told they missed a part and they will fix it. It is still not fixed. I am now told to move out and get a hotel. All this with two kids. I am not even adding a whole wrong instalation of all the bars that is still not fixed and a shower glass not in place.....to say the least I didn't expect this from KB homes.

6 month delivery delay, unprofessional after completion of sale. Independent building inspection revealed 100+ items not in compliance with building code. Obviously short cuts were taken in construction of my townhome. It’s a brand new home.

My title sums it up, quantity over quality. Two months after closing and they still can't finish off the list of items needing to be corrected, for any one removed, two are added (poor workmanship). Contractors show up and either don't know how to fix correctly (they sent the new guy), the fix is worse than the original issue, they just don't show up at all, or cancel the day of. Someone might respond to your concern, but don't expect it to be fixed for months (if ever?! TBD...). I no longer trust in the follow through to be sure work is actually completed well, all the way up to regional ...

It has been 4+ months since I have been moved to my new home. The house construction was delayed and I got penalized for the loan rate, for renting home. KB promised me to hand over the house within 12-14 months but it took more than that and they never let me know the closing date or time. They just let me know one week before the closing. At closing, they showed me the Oven+microwave combo was not there and they give me a loaner oven. They told me they back ordered my original oven but it never showed up. From start to finish I was very disappointed in the process. The sales person didn’t make an effort in anyway to guide me or give me any information on options. The entire plan was to get me to close ASAP and I had to put a lot of effort to get them to finish my house as promised. I had closed and two months later received my keys because the NEW HOUSE needed to have some items repaired. I still didn’t get my garage door opener at that time. I felt like I was dealing with used car sales staff! Use caution when buying a NEW HOME from this builder.

I bought a house with KBHOMES in Feb,2022. And everything breaks in my house every week and when you email or call . They don’t respond. I regret buying home from KBhome my kitchen cabinet fall off and they haven’t fix for 2months. My garage door is broken and I message and call No response. I wish I have done my research before going with KBHOMES. Very bad experience
