Good overall experience

The crew that builds your home to include the supervisors on the job are fabulous to work with. The after build help is not responsive and frustrating.

The garage is way to small and not smartly designed to maximize space

The contract signing is too complicated.

I have had a great experience so far.

Overall I have been pleased but there were a few things I can also take part responsibility for by not asking more questions. First item I was surprised by was the standard 2X4 stud walls. I assumed and did not realize this wasn't a state/county/city requirement to have 2X6 walls where concern for high energy use during our hot AZ summers would be paramount. I understand the concept of the airtight home to keep energy costs down but the added R factor of the 2X6 wall seems like a must have. Second, a water softener loop should be standard in an Arizona home. The highly chlorinated and harsh city water systems in AZ require softeners. As a result I incurred notable extra expense to add later and have unsightly drain tubes on my garage walls along with a spigot in the back yard that now gets softened water that could have been avoided with a loop. The cost of materials and labor to put in a copper loop and run a plastic tube in the walls can't be enough to require making this an upgraded option. Lastly I wish it would have been made clear to me that my house wall would be the neighbors fence. I incurred notable extra expense running drip system around front of the house since I would not be able to perform maintenance on them since they'd be running through the neighbors yard and at some point in the future when painting, roofing and or general repair is required on east side of home I will have to invade the neighbors yard and get their permission to do so. There is ample space to put a wall in place and for the neighbor to still have a yard bigger than the one I have and then give me access to maintain the east side of the property without disturbing them. Over all is good

In general, it is a good builder.

The home was great and allowed for further improvements that was easy for me. The welcoming crew and Rick the manager was very helpful during the walkthrough and when we had some questions and issues with the house. Rick was very helpful and very prompt with service and follow through.

Our sales rep and superintendent were very responsive, easy to get ahold, kind and always went the extra mile for us. We did have an issue at the end of our closing that took a call to corporate to handle but our sales rep and super were there guiding us through the process every step of the way. They made this experience 100 x's better. Thank you both for everything.

Subdivision felt rushed and lacked attention to details

Price per square feet is lower than the market, therefore good value for the money.

Overall great company to work with. They do need to work on there communication and timing . You can tell they rushed to get the job done

I love my house. I plan to live in it some time but if I were to buy again I definitely go with a KB home.

Overall, the home was constructed well. That said, greater focus on small details would have made it better. One example is the placement of the water pipes underneath the master bath sink. The placement takes usable space away from the interior of the cabinet. On the positive side, Rory and CJ have been great in quickly responding to issues.

Home should have been inspected for issues prior to my walk thru. There was a obvious electrical issue with the fireplace ( live wires laying inside the fireplace) that was a safety hazard. Was not fixed until we were in the home for 3 weeks.

the foam outside is terrible and the plants were not very well taken care of, but overall the house is fantastic.

We were not thrilled with our realtor as the updates were always 2 weeks behind, we didn’t receive our mailbox keys once we closed and then I had to drive out of my way to get them to avoid my power being turned off, and we initially had to change lots from our original pick which put us a month behind. Our superintendent was awesome and really helped with our experience. He always addressed all of our issues and never seemed annoyed with questions or concerns. He kept us up to date throughout the process as well. Overall quality of home was good and I’m happy for the price, I was not thrilled with the tile in the bathroom shower and paint on doors; thankfully we didn’t upgrade our bathrooms and planned to do it in the future. ... Great home

Punch list 2 1/2 months, not complete

Not quality craftsmanship.

KB does build with some quality materials like the ZIP system and the flexible water piping. However, most builders include 9foot ceilings as standard and walk in showers as standard but KB does not. Walk through was not handled as well as it could have been and the home wasn’t ready to close despite numerous reminders of outstanding items but had no choice but to close on closing date.
