Nice Home but KB not consistent with how they represent themselves online

Sales staff was very nice and listen to our issue and addressed what they could. Loan department seemed to put minimal effort into giving us loan options or providing information about the different loan options, get a realtor you trust to help you. Construction was on schedule but did not repair all the issue identified during home inspection walk and was difficult to work with to address those issue.

Building manager was the only one who took ownership in the construction of the house. But he was at the mercy of the trades.

Many of the trades did poor quality work. Now we are 2 months in the house and still waiting for them to come correct the mess they made. Extremely disappointed in this. I'm still looking for reasons to love this house, but it's been a struggle. As of right now, I would not recommend a KB home.

Trisha and Ed were amazing to work with. After we moved in is when we noticed craftsmanship issues and just the overall quality of work is not what I would say meets standards. We started to get issues fixed then that halted and we haven't heard back from anyone. The person who did our walk through said since it's after 30 days he can no longer help us and we needed to continue the process with Brandi, who has yet to return our call. Needless to say the sales office is amazing but the rest has fallen short.

Well............from the time we signed purchase agreement to move in, in between that period it was ok, it's when the walk through came up...I will stop right here because there is not enough space to leave a review for that. Overall, we are not happy to say the least.

The sales experience was good. During the build, some issues were brought up and were either VERY slow to address or never addressed at all. Clearly the sub-contractors rushed through their work to go on to the next job at the expense of sloppy, mediocre workmanship. Attention to detail is lacking. Communication was poor, to include nearly non-existent follow-up. Maybe this is all KB specific, or maybe it is industry wide with all the big builders. Either way, KB could do so much better by simply hiring a construction manager who was competent, organized, and communicates often and well.

I recently moved to vegas and was able to see the build on a regular basis. I identified way too many issues during the build that would have been detrimental if waited until after the final walk through. For starters, I paid to have the entire house insulated, all interior walls also. We had a wind storm one weekend after the insulation was in place causing it to blow out and all over the house as well as outside. There is no ownership of the contractors hired to build the homes. When I call to complain because my “NEW” home is having issues. I continuously hear “that’s the contractors fault”. The way I see it, if KB hires the contractor to do the job they should be checking over the work and making sure it’s up to the standard that KB is claiming.

Quality of our home is maybe average. Failed mostly with cosmetic items - paint, inside and outside very poor, caulking, scratches and dents on appliances, but also electrical problems, insulation. Fixing these problems has been way below acceptable. Overall, we feel we did not receive the value for which we paid.

I was surprise that I had so many issues after closing on my KB home. I bought my house contrary to my realtor, telling me not to buy through KB homes. I hope they will use better materials in the future, and provide more for their home owners.

Good beginning and unexpected slow problem-solving after moving-in

We experienced a number of issues, such as bathroom sink cracked, doors can't close, some parts are missing etc...... Some contractors didn't response call for repairs, such as carpet repairman refused to answer phone calls, text message..... Hopefully, things will move faster in 2023.

Most of my issues are with KBHS. Very incompetent. My understanding is that since my closing they fired about half the KBHS staff at the regional office. Been 7 weeks since closing and still waiting for a refund for double charging me for an appraisal. Also still waiting for items that were not completed and have yet to be fixed. Overall the home is very nice and we like the area. Stay away from KBHS if you can. Reason I gave value for the price paid 2 stars is that they are currently selling my model for $20,000 less than I paid.

Personally the people are personable. Questions are always answered and I appreciate that. The quality of my home is not that great. I feel like the home was rushed, even though the home took longer than expected to be completed. Unfinished painting around the home, chips and dents as well. All in all, promises are not kept and quality is not there either. Not a great first home buying experience on their end.

House stiill missing shower glass, heat not working at all, A/C not working properly, air ducts does not flow,cabinetry for kitchen and batroom have poor quality,they damage the upgraded appliances and floor. They have a slow response for warranty, and the problems not fixed.

This was a struggle from beginning to the end! Terrible workmanship and finishing on the home. The caulking and paint job was so horrible, I’m having to call warranty office every week. I’ve already found a water leak in my kitchen within a month of moving in. My walls were cracking even before I moved in. The warranty rep for this communique has been great in responding to issues and making sure it is resolved as soon as possible but if I knew what I know now, I never would have purchased a home with KB. The home was delayed due to inventory shortages, we closed after 14 months of signing the home. After all this, I wished the quality is better. The floor makes sounds all over the home while walking. I have scratched windows and cracked windows, but still don't have any ETA on when that'll be fixed.

The process if purchasing the home was fine. Our loan officer Rossana was awesone she goes above and beyond. Before moving we pointed out a lot of repairs and cosmetic issues all over the home. We have been in the home for almost 2 months now and none of the issues have been corrected. Everytime we reach out they tell us that their priority is closing on the rest of the homes.

Sales guy was very thoughtful and helpful all the time by the way has been the only one that threat us with respect. I like my new house, but I cannot deny that it has a lot of paint and finish details, it has a problem in the bathroom plumbing which flows into the garage, they broke the wall and left it that way and they still haven't repaired it, I don't I can't and I don't have time to be calling and writing to the repair technician, the yard is old and damaged and still hasn't settled, compared to other new houses that have not yet been delivered, they glued the bathroom floor cover badly and it's peeling off , I need pest control, and many details that I still have no answer

Waited 37 years to buy my first house with my wife. With the quality of the house, wish I could have went with another builder, somewhere else who has high quality builds. We bought the home 2 months ago and kind of regret going with KB. Quality is definitely not a priority. The house was obviously rushed by workers who just want to get the job done as fast as possible. Not a craftsman home and it all shows.
