Our home was completed ahead of schedule. Sales personnel were helpful during the process. The construction supervisors, were responsive to concerns during and after construction, and communication with them was very good. They have a challenging job, as the skill-of-the-craft is not what it used to be within the trades, so followup issues kept them quite busy.

Quality of workmanship is lacking specifically painting of the doors, accent windows, etc. Still see paint drips and paint of glass of glass doors and windows. Make sure to fully understand what specials are being offered. Some of the sales rep are not familiar with the specials and can provide conflicting information. Have these resolve as soon as possible or you will lose out on the special.

Personally I am happy with the staff and the responsiveness. But overall the Community doesnt have a new house appeal. When you look from outside, there is a big difference between the New houses from other builders (for e.g HeadWaters) and K.B Homes. K.B Homes needs an upgrade with it looks. I bought it here because I had no other option for new Construction. There are limited option in Upgrades and most of them are outdated. Totally dissatisfied with Home Pro. They do not know anything about Customer Service. I would have given 4 Stars even with limited options for Upgrades. But I gave 3 stars because of Home Pro. ... More

Our direct contact with the builder was through Melissa. She was great in responding to our concerns and issues. The fact that there were (and continue to be) so many issues with this home is disappointing. The craftsmanship and materials (painting, woodwork, even cement) used for this home leaves a lot to be desired. Less than a month inside the home and basic installation issues continue. We are on our 3rd refrigerator, the cement in the garage is a joke. The sod for landscaping is full of weeds. The rear screen door has already been replaced (apparently damaged when they resurfaced part of the patio cement for a 3rd time) and we just found another hole in one of the window screens. The bathtubs had rust stains that had to be removed and the HVAC installation was flawed. Again, let me be clear, Melissa has been great in addressing these issues, but she cannot complete the necessary delivery and service herself. When the 2nd refrigerator was removed, they damaged the front door, which now needs to be repainted. I have purchased 3 new homes in my life and NEVER have I had to have so many call-backs to repair faulty installation. I have never seen such shotty painting (paint drops on the screens and outdoor shrubs). I have only referenced some of the issues we have faced. We bought from KBHomes due to the cheaper price compared to other builders but it was a definitely a "you get what you pay for" experience. The house just looked okay from afar but when you get closer and closer you see the poor work done, the inconsistencies, the broken stuff underneath the surface, etc.

KB home seems to be more about quantity & production vs quality & customer satisfaction. Had multiple issues with house & community since home purchase. Workload applied to management team seems to be a lot to be able for them to address all homeowners concerns, repairs & issues in timely manner.

My overall experience buying thisnhome started out amazing. In fact i didnt even think i was going to be buying a KB Home but the salesperson michael was amazing and when we saw the model home it was everything we wanted and the peefect price. The construction team was very communicative and during the build and kept me updated. My experience went south when my loan officer Victoria got involved. There was zero communication on locking in my interest rate so when it came time to close the interest rate had gone up! The only way we could get it back to the original rate is to do a adjustable rate mortgage and because of her bad communication i now had to roll the dice and hope i can refinance at some point in the next 5 years or take on future intrest rates which could cost us thousands of dollars in paying interest. I originally wanted 30 year fixed loan but the amaount of money it would have cost us to get the rate down was far outside what i budgeted. That was just the first experience. The next was no communication around the closing day! Yes the most important day of a homeowners journey she failed to give me accurate dates costing me even more money in extending my lease for a couple days and staying in a hotel for a couple days. The closing day wasnt just misquoted once not twice but three times. Keep in mind i have all my stuff packed up in a uhaul and am now having to pay extended uhaul rental days. I was basically homeless for a week with my fiance and a new born. When it came time for a manager to take care of the situation the response was slow and took forever. They told me multiple times “there is nothing we can do”. I finally got a hold of the regional manager and he was professional and able to offer me $1000 towards my closing. Though that didnt event slightly cover the cost of adjustments i had to make. I didnt really care about the money it was more that my feedback was heard to prevent anyone else from having this same experience. He also was able to help arrange a closing day on a saturday which i am appreciative even though it was still my loan officers fault for skipping over major details in the process that caused this. The icing on the cake was when we finally closed and got to our new home. The loan officer never told the construction manager about us closing on saturday so he could have the house cleaned and ready for us. So we came in to a home that didnt have its finishing touch. The construction manager brayden was able to get a crew out asap and have it cleaned but the breakdown in communication was unfortunate and again we just had to roll with the punches. As a homeowner i would now never want to buy a home again because of how tramatizing this experience was. As a loan officer you basically have the customers finacial future in the palm of your hands. The least you could do is slow down when it comes to MAJOR details and make sure the customer is caught up. The sales staff that I had was quite aggressive and pushy during the search and closing periods. There was a tile that was broken and was replaced with a different color. They were about to give me the house with a solo different colored tile in the master bathroom. The closing date was then pushed back as they had to redo the full master bathroom. There are still issues with the house that have not been fixed. Quality of work could be better.

My experience with the sales guys was great, but not so with KB management who seems invisible. They only use the small guys on the ground for issues that require leadership to address. Please ensure you ask all questions before construction begins, I assumed sprinkler system was part of the home, only to discover last minute, it's an additional expense, it was not disclosed in the beginning.

Signing on with KB Homes came with a promise of “weekly” updates; as well as 5 site visits. We were disappointed with the fact we didn’t get weekly updates. The reason was usually that there was a monthly Monday meeting. If that is the schedule then call on Tuesday, don’t skip a week. The site visits were as expected for the first 3 but then they were compacted together. Lastly, the amount of trash left on site (both on top of and under the bark) is unacceptable. I have found the expected nails & staples; however chunks of twisted metal, sheets of plastic and particularly a 8ft rebar (under the bark) is a bit much and I would expect respect for the property, not a “hurry and move on”. Too many delays with construction and closing. Financer did not use all options available to purchaser.

I have been called emailed very frequently and asked to provide the survey -we have not moved in so don't know yet since could not handle the frequent calls so completing

When we started out with KB it felt like there was a rush to get things done from the start to the finish. The day before the closing was a rush as documents that should have been submitted to us for final review weeks before was still not completed for review and they were constantly running the numbers even though nothing had changed. Mortgage Department one person she knows herself left me and my husband off the deed. Now I have been left with the headache of getting that sorted out. When we did the Design Studio appointment had one person doubled up on our upgrades twice . Once during the video appointment and the other time on the final document. I pointed it out to her and she told me their was no error. She changed it on the system overnight and submitted it the next day without acknowledging her error. I print all documents before so I can review before i signing. She needs more training. KB needs to put up more and clearer signs so that people do not get lost trying to find this community. I am Constantly on the phone directing Uber, delivery company and fast food companies as the GPS is sending them to the neighboring community . Mail Boxes are located 15 minutes away walking. That does not make any sense. Each community has a cul-de-sac why not put them at the end of each community. There is no recycle or garbage pick up in this community as it still under construction. I have a very long list of things to fix. I have biting ants in my kitchen no food left out they were also on the carpet and outside on the patio. Shower pipe in master bathroom the water pressure is so low i can hardly take a shower. Too many things to speak on. Now we have moved into the area. Angie and Richard has always been very nice throughout this process. I have been here a week and no one has come to welcome us to the area. I have met a few of the neighbors really very nice who mentioned they have received gift baskets and gift cards. I am still waiting on mine not feeling very appreciated after spending all that money with KB. KB All your buyer's should be treated the same. We should all feel welcome. This a great house overall but comes with a lot of issues low quality materials and some really bad details from construction contractors !! Once I start looking around everything I find a lot of ugly things I have being fixing myself since I don’t trust them at all !!

My initial experience with KB was quite good. The sales, design studio, mortgage lending and construction manager would be rated 5 stars to work with but after closing, my experience has been much different. Pretty much, once you close on the house and try to get responsiveness from the warranty department to correct sloppy work completed along the way during the construction of your 'new' home, you can expect at least a month of back and forth to try to get anything accomplished. Closing process was such a headache, documentation process is so messy that it delayed us from closing for about 3 months. Loan processor was changed mid process and we had to gather all documentation all over again. Overall not a very simple process for closing. Review in regards to the house: Everything is working well, happy to finally have settled into my new home.

Material information was left out. After I took the keys, a few weeks later I had a qualified plumber and a selected electrician look at the work. The electrician questioned why my circuit breakers tripped off every other day, as soon as I plug my electric car into the 110 the breaker trips. The plumber didn’t understand why the drainage pipe for the air conditioner is above the 3rd FL bathroom on the room, since no other house nearby has this pipe sticking out. Also because the AC unit is on the side year on 1st floor ground. When I asked the asst super if KB hime he told me “every home has this” which is incorrect. Because sure to check the specs ... More

I was disappointed since I bought my first house here in USA 10 years ago with KB Home so I really trusted this time. Unfortunately since my first sales rep left KB Home in the middle of the process the relationship get very weak until now Seems you are not well prepared for international sales. I bought this house for moving me here as primary house but I am am foreign so as family lost the first air tickets when the closing date was moved indefinitely just 4 days before the written promised date, and although it was somehow compensated in the final price it was a big inconvenient to do travel arrangements again. After closing was finally made I couldn’t receive the house because cleaning was not done even when I already have closed and paid. I found good support in the sales general manager for solving that issue the night before travel back to my born country w/o the possibility of a good checking, but again one more inconvenient. Now that I finally began my moving I found bad cleaning details, bad terminations in painting and carpets joints and cabinets don’t cared during the construction but the most important errors were a broken thermostat that made the AC work wrong and Not leaving a single TV jack point anywhere in the house so I couldn’t get internet service as due because that construction error… The issues keep going because regardless to do the notifications to the construction supervisor they take long for solving, if I dont call for follow up I dont receive updates and suddenly contractors come to my door w/o a previous notification and they lost their time because I am not at home or prepared for let them work.. I must say that when I reported the AC problem it was duly managed with urgency but besides that nothing else has been managed as expected. Disappointed ... More

KB homes are budget value homes. The homes are plain looking and built with for most part good quality materials. Their base prices offer minimal upgrades. If you are a first time home buyer or on a strict budget then KB homes will fit your needs. Unfortunately, the obvious poor workmanship stood out immediately when we were watching our home’s building progress from start to finish. The poor workmanship was mostly carelessness of the workers and the way they treated their job site. The building plans themselves were in question as well. Here is some examples: The bathtub in the second bathroom was treated as a trash can during construction. The back yard was treated as a trash can for workers water bottles, cigarette butts and other trash. The painting has massive air bubbles and the touch up that was never ending. Every door in the house has damaged bottoms from when the workers or worker slammed them down in the garage. The drywall was installed before the roof was completed which caused damage to the drywall after it rained and snowed on and in the house. All the damaged drywall was replaced. The garage floor and back patio was permanently damaged from flooring installation glue. The flooring quarter round was installed with the wrong color. The baseboards were installing wrong the first time. We waited a month for our ceiling fans to get installed and fixed. We are still waiting for our flooring to get corrected. Our cabinets were a disaster. Doors were warped, knobs installed crooked and one knob still missing and touch up needed in several areas. These are some examples not everything. I understand all new home builds will need touch up and fixes but a lot of these issues were caused by workers not caring about their workmanship and improper builder supervision. KB has shown their concern over these matters and has made every effort to correct these issues and are still being corrected. They should offer two tone paint and semigloss throughout the house. There was a rush for me to take possession of the home. The builder could have spent a couple more months. There are many that are not working properly - the walls "flake" very easily, Do was off kilter, water doesn't come out to some of taps, the kitchen faucet is already loose, the cable plus are in strange places....I was promised a fan for the KB Home design studio experience .... never happened....I would not buy another KB Home.

Better communication between me and my loan officer. Ended up paying more in the closing because my closing date wasn’t specified to me PROPERLY. I would also like to state that I’ve been in the house for a month (the house isn’t fully up and running, minor fixes) and only one of the minor issues have been fixed. It’s unacceptable. Glad I can have a home but as a first time homeowner the whole experience is traumatizing.

Nice floor plans but concerning craftsmanship. Terrible basic options which practically force you to pay extra to upgrade. KB has a long way to go to be a quality builder for the extreme price point.
