They were not super responsive after the contract was signed. Also, once the home closed, the responsiveness dropped to 0. There was no guidance on whom to contact in case of unforseen situations. However, it's been just a few months since the home was ready. Let's see how things go as the home ages.

The cement in my driveway and sidewalk in front of my house did not cure property. It is gray and speckled when every house on the block and around the corner is white. It’s not right.

The upstairs floor squeak due to improper installation. the paint is cheap. the windows don't slide up or down and comes off the bracket.

We had been in the new house 3 weeks and had two separate leaks in the Master shower. The gutters are not even joined at the corners. The quality of the drywall finishing is fair at best.

The appliances and toilets are shoddy, the cheapest that they could put in. Toilets have to be flushed twice, Plumber came out and said it was the cheapest model of toilet. Bad water pressure. Back wall is 6 feet tall outside, but we can see into each others houses. Going to have to pay to have 2 more rows added (after HOA approval). Should of been added by KB Homes, since there is no privacy and considering we had to pay $5,000 more for our lot location. We are still waiting for our shower floor to be fixed, our final termite inspection and I have a paint issue we would like to discuss.

Basement flooded before closing, touch up paint throughout the house with wrong color, pipes froze in the first month

Do not rush. Give them plenty of time.

Home seems well build.. we have an outlet that should be half hot that is not, so we have a wall switch that does nothing. We never got a 60 day walk thru we were told we would get..

We have lived in our new KB home for 2 months. We have noticed and continue to notice things that weren’t done correctly or were/are damaged during the construction process. What we do appreciate is the responsiveness of Jodi over at KB. He makes sure that whatever issues arise get resolve in a timely manner.

Overall experience prior to the 30 day ownership l survey was very good. But after the survey was submitted with excellent rating, the support with issues went downhill. Each and every problem is taking considerable convincing to get noticed. We are being told, this is according to the plan, on several items even though they are obviously not done right. The things we were promised before the 30 day survey are now being pushed back and not being addressed. It’s such a frustrating experience to go back and forth.

Everything up to closing was very informative. The timeline to conduct inspections and final walkthrough was tight, which felt rushed by KB. Issues after closing has been disappointing, especially with HVAC.

This house build was rushed, so many things were overlooked. From the random light fixture placements, to the terrible installation of kitchen drawers, pasture that is trying to be sold as sod, incorrect shower door sizing, AC issues, electrical wiring issues, incorrect installation of AC condensation line, and the yard not being leveled. KB had impressed me with the previous two houses I bought from them, but their attention to detail and quality of work has dropped off a cliff. KB used to be a home builder that valued the relationship with the owner, now they just care about putting up as many houses up as fast as possible. ... More

Superintendent was the person who stand out the most. Price of home was decent. But starting to see cheap materials were used

Bought a brand new home in Falling Water 2 and the build quality is not as good as I would expect with a new home and under the brand of KB Homes. The roof above my garage is bowed and they keep telling me it is a cosmetic defect... I am hiring roofing company to give me a second opinion

ensure that all problems are fully resolved before you receive the house. Never sign the papers after walk-through if you have any issues in the house,they will say they gonna fix it just sign the papers but it will take them forever to fix it! Once the turnover is done, it is very hard to fix these issues, particularly when dealing with customer care service

The overall finishing work of the house construction is unsatisfactory, and there are many areas where the work has been left incomplete or done in a careless and substandard manner.

My overall experience with KB Home was challenging from start to finish. I did not feel fully valued as a customer at any point in the process. My concerns were often dismissed or addressed only after repeated follow-ups. The communication between sales, construction, and the design studio was inconsistent and caused avoidable delays and mistakes. I also faced financial stress because of incorrect information from the loan officer, which forced me to seek new financing at the last minute to avoid losing my earnest money. I was disappointed with several aspects of the homebuying process and felt it did not meet my expectations. Some finishes and materials did not meet the standard I anticipated for the price paid, and there were minor issues that needed attention. Communication was sometimes unclear, and I felt that updates or timelines could have been more transparent. Given the issues I encountered, I did not feel the home fully reflected the value promised. While some concerns were addressed, there were delays in responses and resolution that caused frustration. We have been trying to get our refrigerator replaced or refunded since we paid for it ourselves thru the design studio for 1100.00. It looks second hand and runs loud enough to hear 7 out of 8 hrs. They ordered doors without hearing our side of issue. This has been ongoing before we closed on house, said go ahead and close all issues will be taken care of, at who’s satisfaction. Had a range problem got that solved. Still have issue with cabinet inserts, put on order to replace. Essentially everything we paid extra for has had issues. Everyone who has told us they will come here to talk to us about this issue has not shown up. Wait all day and nothing. KB advertising says 100% satisfaction guaranteed. Not happening yet. it was a quick move in expirence, lots of issues though for a brand new home, not great customer service

I have only been in the home for 30 days and have already had to submit a warranty work order for a broken window. Overall the house is acceptable after much distress during the build with builder not wanting to fix damages caused by trades. Also please check your ac and insulation as mine were damaged, ductwork not taped properly or suspended properly. Insulation was only 3-4 inches in some areas of the attic and contract stated 10 inches throughout. Builder had more than 4 weeks to correct the issue and they did nothing until the last 24 hours before closing even though they stated to me that all was addressed and corrected. Workmanship was messy and not up to standard. All I asked was just do their job correctly and don’t cause more damage with every trade that entered the house. Overall I found a lack of respect for the client and no respect from the trades for the finishes in the house. Millwork in the house messy and substandard and black of attention to detail. I recommend that all clients hire a home inspector to check for things that are not up to code and have items professionally documented for your own security. My only saving grace was the project manager Dave, otherwise we would have had to spend another $10k to fix all the issues that LB homes refused to address. ... More

Sales person was very helpful and seemed very honest. When calling customer service of issues noted, we were told they would relay the information and have items corrected. No call back for a couple of months. I was told there would be a final walk through to review all systems of the house. This never happened. Post sales customer service is poor.

KB uses the cheapest materials and the GC does not seem to care or know how important is the appropriate installation. Warranty and repair process works fine, but only for stuff that is broken, not for wrong installation. In this case, GC will answer that it is installed per their standards even when it’s not installed correctly.
