The sales team and building super were very helpful. The loan process with KB was an absolute nightmare. Also once the 30 days are up for the team to touch up items, the team was pretty unresponsive. Make sure to get things in writing and email proof as that will be the letter of the law that they abide by.

My family bought our house sight unseen as we were moving to San Antonio and wanted a house upon arrival. We knew we wanted to go with KB but didn't have time to build custom so had to wait for one to become available. It was a race to lock one down and we finally got one. The location isn't great and the house is actually better than it looked in videos. However, there were a lot of issues found during our inspection we ordered and there were some that they didn't remediate until I sent the inspector back again. The home buying process was seamless, Jerry and Rueben are awesome. My customer service rep is very responsive in getting things done. Check every little nook and cranny of your home and do site visits if possible. My home was not cleaned before moving in so I had paint speckles all throughout the home, handprints were everywhere in the flooring which took some scrubbing because it didn't come up with just a mop. No Pride in Workmanship

Since the start, purchasing my home from KB, was not a good experience. The day of closing turned out to be a week of closing. Now that I’ve moved into the house, doors were not hung properly, the carpet was not tacked down correctly, it lifts from most of the corners in big sections. The living/ dining rooms tiles were not installed correctly. The tiles were uneven. I’ve been sitting in a construction site for a week and it looks like it’ll be longer. I feel like I’ve made a mistake buying this house. I’m so frustrated.

KB home loan team is the worst in my experience. They fail to provide me the options and the lock terms of 7 months and the extensions. I have a credit score of 809 still ended up with 6.25 percent interest with their proposal to lock for 12 months. Where as other neighbours got other locking months and rate, and information of what to do when construction time extends.

Unfortunately we have had quite a few issues with our home, leaking master bath, cracked concrete on driveway, paint on door fixtures, plaster on patio and drive way out front. KB has been available and working on all of our items, they immediately got in touch with the plumbers to fix the shower which was appreciated.

Maria and Venassa from the sales office was great. But the other part of KB HOMES is very bad; they change the terms and conditions without notice and all for you benefit and to halo your fiscal year

From the day I put my deposit down to close was 3 weeks short of 52 weeks. There were tons of delays including the week leading up to close. It seemed like the turnover of sales people, builders created an environment where myself, the buyer never knew what was happening or who I could reach out to. In the final month and a half they brought in a new project manager, Kelly who is and continues to be a Rockstar. He is so responsive and knowledgeable. The entire process would have left a sour taste in my mouth if it were not for him. I would give him 5 starts in every category possible.

5 Stars for Jean, Justin, Kyle with the customer service team. He has a quick response time and coordinates with well with vendors to get issues resolved. 5 stars to the sales team (Lizette). The 2 stars is for the the people who handled the final documents and management team, who I was told would contact me when I had issues with closing documents, but I never heard from them. No need to contact me now, since the documents were signed and we been living in our home for about 2 months now.

The overall experience is something I would never want to experience again. This was supposed to be our dream house but we had to choose different products that were not as nice as what we originally chose. Plus we were lied to about when our house would be complete. We had to live in a two bedroom apartment for a whole year.

I like the KB Home construction management personnel at Concord, but their subcontractors do not have any QA/QC. My customer service representative is great.

Overall the process was a little rocky and communication was not always the strong suit of KB Homes. Solar Panels were a requirement but initial signing of documents and discussion with sales office indicated they were optional (our realtor confirmed they were optional for us), and was only later revealed as required very offhandedly during a random drop-in at the model homes. The most frustrating home building experience I've ever had.

We love our home, but the process to get into it was frustrating. Putting aside supply chain issues that are out of anyone's control, we were jerked around by KB throughout the construction process and communication was inconsistent. The lender they push you to use had poor customer service. The house wasn't ready at closing, and we're still trying to get the last outstanding issue finished. It felt like they were trying to crank out more homes than they're able to do and we fell into the cracks. It doesn't matter how many times they apologize to me, I still will not recommend this builder.

Overall, I'm happy with the home itself and have no regrets. It's not the *highest quality* home out there, but, for what it cost, I can't complain too much. That's not to say that the quality is abysmal -- it's a very decent home that looks and feels good and is about worth what I paid. However, the closing process was awful. Bad experience from the start. We were vastly misled from the beginning on when the house would be built. The sales team was difficult to get a hold of for any updates. There were things we were told during the sales pitch that turned out to be not true (i.e. the siding and roof was covered by the HOA, when groundbreaking and completion was... this was especially frustrating as we had an expiring lease and the house ended up being 3 months late). They use a lot of excuses when in our master planned community other home builders have no problem building houses quicker.. they used the excused of Covid for everything but so how doesn’t effect any other builder.. just KB.. The house is great and was their loan side, but other than that not good.. horrible first time buyer experience

They were ok. The construction manager and the construction personnel are irresponsible and will put you under a lot of stress. Be ready for that
