Delays, Poor Workmanship, and Horrible Communication

We have had a horrible experience and would not recommend using KB. Even after moving in, we still have so many issues that are taking forever to be addressed. We were told that any defects would be fixed within three days of our New Home Orientation, but here we sit about two months later and are still waiting for so many issues to still be fixed. Most of the issues are around sloppy work and cutting corners. The House from Hell

They weren't worth a crap. This is my opinion which I am entitiled to. Poor construction. Poor quality of work and resolving problems. Slow in making repairs. They didn't show us how to operate water, air conditioning systems (poor orientation). Failed to mention we were close to a chicken farm, which stinks at times. This only positive thing is they do communicate good with us. But actions spreak louder than words. We would never recomend KB Home to our worst enemy. The HOA is a nightmare to deal with. We will be selling ASAP.

Excited to buy a new home again with KB since first experience was unforgettable however it was the worse experience ever. Beginning was all good and sweet but the ending was a nightmare. From Walk through to after service was unprofessional and unacceptable.

Really Had a bad experience with the KB home builder. There was an issue in my AC unit and drywall cracked in the living area. While on final day closing we collected keys directly from Austin Tile and we didn’t set the temperature to 69 inside the house. In return the builder is blaming us you are responsible to your house. After closing I never been at the house, then how can I responsible. It’s their responsibility to set every thing properly and currently when submitting keys to Owner. KB Home provided the worst home buying experience a builder could give. The workmanship is horrible (still having the house fix after 2 months of being closed) and even the pending items list at closing is still pending. I was given the wrong cooktop twice and I am still waiting on my new one. Holes on the wall, showers leaking, doors in bad condition, door knobs falling off, outdoor panels popping up, painting pealing, electricity problems, to name a few. The sales department pressured the construction team to meet an end of quarter deadline to boost their sales for the quarter. We closed on 8/31/21. THE HOUSE WAS NOT COMPLETED!!! There were major punch items like large holes (12'x9") cut into the wall to access the HVAC unit that was not repaired, cabinets were still being completed while we were waiting for utility companies days after closing. My experience with KB Homes was terrible from the start and continued to be bad through owning the home. Even after I finally was able to move in, there are multiple construction issues that weren't addressed. I like the floor plan of my home, but would not recommend KB Homes to anyone.

Robbed me of the joy in buying my first home

The entire experience was/is horrible. From the start a salesperson giving wrong information about home options & solar programs, sales/customer service people not showing up to home walk through appointments, to multiple building delays. After a 11 month wait l moved in & it took five weeks to gain access to my mailbox. Not to mention, after two appraisals the house still came in almost $30k under the purchase price. Highly recommend using another builder.

Not worth your energy, hard earn money and investment. Very unprofessional employees FROM THE TOP TO THE BOTTOM, LOTS OF ISSUES WITH THE QUALITY OF WORK AND CHEAP MATERIALS USED, they try to fix the botched jobs they initially created but then create more work and more issues, Extremely unhappy with my 3016 square foot home, they also lack of empathy towards the new home owners. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND KB HOME BUILDER. unfortunately they ruined what was suppose to be the best experience for my family on building a New home. KBhome Lake Lucerne gets zero stars. RUN!!!!

There were so many issues we found after we moved in. Major plumbing issue they have not fixed almost two months after we moved in. Two downstairs toilets overflowed first week we moved in, plumber found the underground pipe connection issue.
