KB really needs to do a review of the landscaping subcontractors. Too many weeds in the sod, sod placed with gaps in between. It will eventually grow together, but will take a couple of growing seasons. Each home is elevated, which is good in case of flooding, but leaves a water-logged trench between the homes, after a heavy rain, which takes days to dry out due to sunlight only hitting the areas for a short time due to the zero-lot-line layout of the development. So far, I am very happy with the construction of the house.

Builder and design center was wonderful

I am impressed by the level of care and support from KB Home team.

KBHome will build you a decent home quickly. Everything was completed to plan and order, albeit with slightly unacceptable workmanship and small issues. They are extremely slow to resolve issues after closing (if they resolve them at all) so I do recommend you set yourself up for success by not closing until all major things are fixed. I say major things because there will always be small issues with any home builder and thats acceptable. Price is expensive but they give you a lot of options. For the price, however, I would've expected at least a minimum amount of attention to detail. Sales staff is nice but won't communicate quickly and aren't the most knowledgable. I can recommend KBHomes but I must insist you at least get a quote from another lender and you higher an outside home inspector. KBHome likes to offer a lot of money off if you close through their lender (for me they offered $5000 off at closing) but as soon as I went to another lender I realized it wasn't any cheaper because they charged me almost $5000 more in other areas such as "paperwork processing" to make up for the discount. I don't like that KB home works with so many companies to build 1 home. Quality is not good, Do to this theirs so many cracks and holes. When reporting issues to the superintendent all he does is send you to the customer service number?, which no one ever answers or returns phone calls.

You can always discuss your opinions and suggestions and you will always get frank and honest answers and receive a satisfactory solution to your concerns.

The quality of our new KB Home this go around was mediocre. Our final walk through was a mess and I have called KB several times to fix minor issues inside the home such as holes in the concrete foundation, bad wall patching jobs, and the door trim was not up to par either. Our first KB home we bought 7 years ago was superb but unfortunately this time around it felt like the construction was rushed and messy.

My interaction with the head sales person for the community was good. He was responsive and very courteous.

We were a little apprehensive at first, but KB did a great job. Throughout the whole process it seemed like they trying and gave us a lot insight into the house we were buying.

Kb has been more than amazing from the very begin all the way past the End. The address ever issues and made it seems as if it was them buying the home

Nice new home

I wasn't impressed with my sales rep. Buying a new house is a lot of money and I expected top customer service quality (took several days to get a response, did not meet deadlines). Lot of the upgrades are overpriced to the point where it's still cheaper to rip out KB installed finishings and install new ones after closing. Lot of the base finishings is very low quality and that's how they keep prices competitive but get you to pay more to upgrade to something more reasonable. After closing, our After Sales Customer Service representative was also very hard to get in touch with and ignores most of my emails asking for an update. KB subcontracts a lot of the final stages of work (carpet, counters, appliances, etc). In my experience, it was all sub-par (counter overhang turned out to be a underhang meaning the closed drawers extended past the counter edge, holes in shower wall slabs, missing door pins, missing dead bolt screws). Very happy with the experience KB offered

I was so nervous to buy a house after seen all my friends having problems with their home buying experience, i can say from that moment when i sign the contract paperwork till today have been a really good experience no problem and no hiccups , been able to be there on every step of building you home is really priceless

It was s great experience from the beginning. Jenee and Curtis were a pleasure to work with. We love it here!

We had a construction manager that kept us involved throughout the construction process and stayed in touch months after we moved in. Lee did great for us.

we really love our new house

We're still familiarizing ourselves with everything in our home. We only have an issue with towel bars and grab bars in the shower. Very cheaply made and grab bars are tarnished already. Originally we didn't want them installed so we could purchase our own. They insisted on installing them. When we have nice Moen faucets with a lifetime guarantee on the finish, why cheap out on the accessories. That said, it's somewhat of a minor thing and we are very happy with our home.

We couldn't be happier with the quality of work and the quality of people we worked with throughout the buying, designing, building, and closing process with KB Home.
