Please do your research before purchasing any home, not just KB, but any home. Check reviews online and also check Better Business Bureau (BBB). I wish I would have done more research before purchasing my Sunnyside Estate home.

I still waiting for the part replace to be fix also the construction next door just brought lots of dirt and mud in from on my driveway and no one seen to clean that out. According to the city that is an environmental problem having so much dirt with no erosion control.

Horrible buying process, once you buy the home and you fill out the first survey you never can get a call back.

Supposed to have a 1 year warranty on issues but there is no point of contact, the buying experience was horrible and they locked me into not using a realtor. The floors are warped in several homes in this community, the irrigation and land sloping is not bad. Constant issues, I wish KB just followed through with their promises.

Once you sign the purchase agreement get ready for delays, broken promises and costly mistakes that will most likely delay your closing. We have been in our home a month and a half, had to leave for 5 days for them to do the repair work to the house at the end of October and still have not received reimbursement as promised. Their vendors do NOT wear masks so beware of that if you are at high risk for COVID. Our solar is still not set up and the HOA rep does not respond for weeks at a time.

Poor Customer Service

Customer service has done a poor job on fixing a simple landscaping that I have had from the moment I moved into my new house. The company that KB does their landscaping with has damaged some of my property and has failed continuously to resolve a simple issue. I am going on two months in living in my new house and have yet to fully enjoy my yard. My experience in purchasing my first house has been stressful and disappointing.

You have to beg the warranty department to respond to you

I still have issues in my home that have gone unresolved. Warranty refuses to answer my calls after complaining about a shower that continues to spew water out of my walk in shower because of poor quality craftsmanship. They said they fixed it but only said that just so they can buy more time and let the Warranty run out so they don't have to deal with my home. Beware when buying from this builder you might also find unwanted things in your basement bedroom should you decide to finish you basement with KB homes.

We had many items on our list from the walkthrough that needed to be addressed. Some minor and some major flaws. 6 weeks later nothing done or committed to being fixed. Spent $$$ on upgrades. Upgraded wood floors have defective boards, whitish color where stain is missing, many scratches and holes. Upgraded cabinets, inconsistent stain. whitish stain on several doors, scratches and doors falling off their hinges. From the beginning of our home buying experience we’ve been misled, misinformed, inconvenienced and shown that customers and customer satisfaction is not a priority for KB homes. From random pricing changes and poor quality work to failure to communicate and overall difficulty to do business with, with the exception of the follow up and reliability of Mike, the super intendant, building and purchasing with KB is a grueling and terrible experience. I would not recommend building or purchasing from KB to anyone.

Disappointed after moving in

We have had so many issues after moving in with things that were not done correctly and are very disappointed with the unresponsiveness and unresolved issues. The workers have come to our house on four different occasions due to issues with the countertop and it is still not resolved. We have taken off work numerous times already and are extremely disappointed. We had such a great experience with the sales person as well as all the meetings prior to moving in that we thought it would continue.

We have made several complaints, we were told certain things before buying and now those things are not true. We have had not one thing done with quality in the home, have had issues with door hinges coming off, windows with scratches on them, broken doors, chipped tile, broken and chipped cabinets, flaws in our counter tops, issues with plumbing, poor craftsmanship of walls, power sockets, trim, tile in bathrooms, sprinklers on wrong property, holes in our driveway, dents in cabinets and front door and roof, uneven work done, the stone on the front of house looks sloppy. Poor Workmanship. No follow-up from KB on completion of construction

Before closing, KB was unable to get trades to finish or repair poor workmanship. Closing was delayed due to unfinished and poor workmanship. KB drywall & concrete contractors produce deplorable work. The interior walls were not sanded prior to paint and orange-peel was unsuccessfully used to attempt to mask workmanship defects. Disappointing Experience

Expecting a wonderful home building experience but had major issues with sales staff and construction. Construction quality was substandard from the framers to the finishers. Walls are not square. Everything was done half way right. Had to stay on top of them everything step of the way and we still had issues. Poor communication from sales staff and construction manager. Great experience with KB Mortgage and Design Center staff. We love the floor plan and the location but so disappointed in construction experience.

Sales staff (Theresa), GC (Glendon, Oz), warranty (Jaime)and design center (Jenna) personnel were great, responsive and awesome to work with so our scores don’t reflect on them in anyway. Current issues or qestions are dealt with quickly. Issues brought up to higher personnel during build were never corrected or solutions were never offer so we were stuck what we got. The renderings did not match our final product because that’s all we could go off of. The materials (stone, paint and elevation)were altered and not addressed with us on how it would “really” look.
