We were fortunate enough to drive in the community and enter the sales office. By the time we left we had put a contract in on a home that we wanted. KB Home had the floor plan that met our wants, a sales counselor that was very helpful throughout the entire building construction as well as a Construction Supervisor that also kept us informed on the progress. These two men are fantastic. The woman at the design center was so helpful so with these three people we are now enjoying the home we dreamed of. You can't go wrong with KB Home!

We bought a spec home so we did not get to pick the upgrades. The upgrades chosen by the design studio were very good choices. We would have only made a few alterations. Some of the workmanship on the drywalling and texturing was below average. We have been in only 1 1/2 months so we haven't dealt with response to warranty issues, yet. I'm not sure I'd use KB Home Loans. The process was easy but the loan has been sold twice and there has been a change in the fee structures.

The PM for our community has been very responsive when trouble with our home arises. Attention to detail during the building process by the builder and PM needs to improve in order to illiminate the iisseus I have experienced.

You get a lot for the money. Details and craftsmanship are completely missing.

Important to be fully engaged in the production process. Pay attention to details and take proper notes: who, when, where, and why. Especially the pre-walk-thru, and final walk-thru before closing. Punch list completion after closing is onerous, some issues still open six (6) weeks after closing.

House is nice and construction seems good in general, but 1 month after I purchased it, the Zillow estimate for my home dropped over 10% !!! The estimate first agreed with the purchase price and the appraisal also agreed. How could it devalue 10% in 1 month unless it wasn't worth the purchase price to start with. Buyers Beware of the valuation at the start or you will feel scammed too, like I do. KB Homes installs vents for circulation from each bedroom to a adjacent common area in the house. These vents in each of 3 bedrooms are directly opposite each other, creating an open window effect. I inquired with the construction supervisor and informed him that I did not want a window that you could look through (and even see my bed in the master bedroom from the living room!!!) He had the audacity to argue that "that's how KB does it in all their homes now for ventilation." We went back and forth with the argument as I explained that you can hear through the vent and SEE DIRECTLY THRU IT. I finally asked him if he would find that acceptable in His Home? He said he didn't like it either, but that's the way they do it, I then proceeded to request that these vents be relocated to more sensible locations to remove the "windows" and restore privacy to the bedrooms. Lo and behold he sent a sub-contractor over to relocate the master bedroom/living room vents to the ceiling and patched up 5 of of the vents. When the apparently NEW worker for the AC company came to do the job, unsupervised in any way, as usual by KB people, he went up in the attic and cut a hole in the ceiling from above (NO TARP OR ANYTHING ELSE) and dropped a lot of debris right onto the brand new flooring in the foyer, and nowhere near the master bedroom. I hollered from below and asked him if he needed a drop cloth or something, and I suggested he use my tarp. Not sure why I even attempted to help him at this point, but he said yes, I grabbed a tarp and asked where he wanted it. He said to put in the Master BR, and I did so. Then he proceeded to cut a hole in the front room (not the master) and drop a lot of debris into the room below and all over the carpet! When I asked why he just did that, he yelled , " I told you to put the tarp in the master BR!" I yelled back , the tarp IS IN THE MASTER BEDROOM!" He then argued, still yelling at me from the attic that he DID just cut a hole in the master BR! Since he did not even know where the master bedroom was, I told him just STOP working immediately and allow me to call the building supervisor. The supervisor called the AC guy's boss and he eventually came over to finish the vents 2 hours later, and explained it was a new worker, etc. This was only 1 problem I had and continue to have with the follow up. I look forward to adding more details to this review when given another opportunity. KB has wasted so much of my time already, I really just need a break. They set 4 hour windows for us to wait for these repairs, and often miss the time and call to extend the wait. The truly act as though we have all the time in the world to waste and repeat this with each sub-contractor that they send over, most every one of which has acted unprofessional in one way or another. When I have complained to the building SV, he has repeatedly throw the vendor under the bus, stating that he is "about to fire that vendor anyway". I finally am left with the understanding that KB is working with cheap, and inadequately skilled laborers. KB presented themselves as a full-service company but simply pass the buck and blame their vendors for everything that is going wrong. There are a lot of companies currently building in this area... KB delivered what was promised. I started the process with Brandon and I could not have had a better person to work with. Glenita at the Design Center helped me achieve the look of my home. Adam walked me through the construction and was always and still there to answer any questions I may have. Lindsey was excellent with helping me get the closing date I wanted and helped with questions. Kyle has become my go to person and he responds immediately. Thanks KB as we continue through this journey together.

This is our first home purchase and I couldn’t have asked for a better team. I appreciate the amazing communication throughout the entire process and genuine people I worked with. Because of our experience we refer KB to everyone... they have made a customer for life!

You might want to put the air conditioner by the garage and away from the back or a bedroom. Design flaw.

Before closing, KB was unable to get trades to finish or repair poor workmanship. Closing was delayed due to unfinished and poor workmanship. KB drywall & concrete contractors produce deplorable work. The interior walls were not sanded prior to paint and orange-peel was unsuccessfully used to attempt to mask workmanship defects. After closing: Most trades are slow to respond to warranty issues. KB super does not follow up with contractors or homeowner on repair/rework status. Two months have passed and several warranty items have not been addressed. Specifically: Electrical defects in outlets, missing light fixtures, french door alignment/adjustment, shower doors in both bathrooms need replaced (was told this would be upgraded August 2nd with no response to date), paint touch-up after drywall work. We get lip service from KB representatives when we elevate issues. We are told things will happen or that they are working on a resolution, but then have no communication for weeks, only to find that nothing has been done to fix issues. Leaks in tile grout are now causing damage to interior walls. In summary, the finish work on the house is terrible and KB home supers will not follow-up without my constant reminder. Not satisfied

Every staff member was very helpful, supportive, and respectful since the beginning of the sales experience all the way to the walk through in the end. They even communicated with us every month during the construction of our new home, giving us updates on what phase our home was in as it neared closer to completion. Having this great team of people working on it all made buying our new home an exciting experience for us.

I enjoyed the homebuying experience through KB Home. The entire process was explained clearly, and they were there to help every step of the way. I love my new home!
