Very poor workmanship and customer service.

My main issue was when things went wrong, on more than one occasion, KB failed to escalate and get resolution. Would not recommend.

Worse experience ever, never again with kB home

This is the worst builder I have encountered, sales team were fond of canceling transanctions and no considerations at all and end up putting more downpayment just to save the deal and resolved the issue. They will not work for you to make it happen you have to work on them with their expectations.

Please don’t trust them They do not have integrity They say you can get another lender but if you do they will threaten you that you will not close on time to force your hand to come back to them. Very stressful closing process

Unfortunately, this house is just not what we expected. To name a few problems, there are cracks, leaks, patches of different colored paint, missing grout between floorboards and tiles and wonky tiles throughout the house. It is just over all poor quality. We asked for these things to be fixed before moving in, but they weren't. After many arguments and debates with multiple people, we eventually just had to move in without fixes.

My First Time Home Buyer experience was destroyed by the builder’s team. They didn't do what they promised throughout the process. They didn't respond to in a timely fashion to repair workmanship errors.

Nothing... had a worst buying experience!

I closed on the house in June and there have been so many issues. The week after I closed they wiped out all of my property on the left side of my house. My A/C had to be braced into my siding and propped on 2 x4's to provide additional support. The A/C lines were damaged and leaking, the house siding and foundation had chunks removed by the bulldozer and the window wells were knocked loose. They had to re compact my soil, which they did after my landscaping had already been replaced. I am still waiting on the siding repairs. Due to the inconvenience, I was told by the VP they would pay for the installation of my fence, which had to be delayed. I provided a copy of the fence contract and the total amount and they sent me a check for the deposit....not the fence. Additionally, I receive all of the runoff from my neighbors behind me. Twice, my backyard has been completely flooded. I was told this would be remedied once landscaping was in, but after landscaping, I still receive the runoff. The VP told me in June he would check into it and I never heard from him again. When my irrigation system was installed, it leaked for a month. Initially when I reported it, I was told someone would be out the next morning. After the morning went by, warranty retrieved someone, who told me I was over watering and left! I had to step out of my house and flag the PM down. The valve was full of rocks, so he replaced it. More days go by and I stepped into my soil (where my lawn should be) and I sunk a foot. I reported the irrigation was still leaking on Wednesday and on Tuesday they came to prep for sod and I told them the irrigation was still leaking and the backyard was mud. At that time, I learned all 4 valves were full of rock (even the one replaced). They cleaned out the gravel and left. The next day, I see the irrigation is still leaking. They looked and said it was fine and left. After a few e-mail exchanges and providing pictures of proof, they replaced the valve and flushed the system. During all of this, my basement floor cracked and had moisture coming up through the cracks. Warranty's response was cracks in the basement floor should be expected. Through irrigation and partial landscape installation over a month ago, my fence was damaged in several places. Warranty says they will fix it. My furnace has been repaired twice, which they did respond quickly to. My shower floor slopes away from the drain (this was reported in my 30 day inspection) and not yet fixed. Due to the irrigation issues, I still have not had sod put in. I was told someone would be out to prep late last week, but that hasn't happened yet. Scratched mirrors, glass, and counter tops were all addressed quickly. This is the 3rd new home I have purchased and I have never experienced anything like this from other builders. I recommend doing your research. If I would have been more thorough, I would not have purchased this home. I have a number of things that are wrong with the house and KBHome has yet to schedule anyone to fix items even though they have come by my house several times.

I was not satisfied with KB Homes. They made my first home experience a very difficult one.

I would not recommend KB homes to anyone.

Our house seemed rushed and not complete. We paid lots for an incomplete house. Cole was helping us get everything taken care of, then they let him go leaving us with people that did not take customer service as seriously as he did. Now that Cole is back, which we are sooooo relieved by, hopefully things will get corrected for us. Our original salesman Scott has been awesome as well. Cole and Scott were the only ones that cared about us.

Quality control was non-existent. Very frustrating when promises are made to fix issues and appointments are repeatedly blown off and go unresolved. KB has no regard for integrity or quality. Refuse to display my name to avoid repercussions. Try any other builder

KB Home did a poor job in building my house. It took them almost 6 months to build the house but it looked like a rush job. They installed the kitchen and bathroom cabinets without care. As evident of cracked cabinet doors with deep scratches and dents. The wired shelves were not inspected prior to installation, as some of them already have chipped paint and looks dirty. Paint splatter on tile floor and carpet. They didn’t made an effort to clean up after painting. The doors appeared were not wipe down before painting, dust and dirt were painted over. There were also deep scratches and dents on doors. Chunks of dried cement on garage floor, driveway and patio pavers. They didn’t even wash down the spot where they mix the cement. -Cabinet door was broken (will be replaced). -Bathroom: washstand sink was broken but glued (if it was the worker's mistake, it should have done at that time; it was replaced after we found it after we moved in) -Paint finish - not professional (especially bottom area; not seen; but when lying on the floor, it becomes visible) -Front door finish - a big hole between door knob and door frame. -Door from garage to kitchen: loud noise (replaced) - a big hole between door knob & door frame as well -Some room doors' painting - rough -No door between master room and bathroom (it was optional but it is too late to realize that it should not be optional). The experience started off a little troubling dealing with the sales office. Once we showed serious interest in a new home purchase, every thing everything was suddenly rushed. Hurry and give a deposit, hurry and sign mountains of paperwork. Always giving me deadlines. At one point I, asked for an extra day to have my attorney review the contract for the lot/future home. The next day I received an email from the sales office telling me our contract was void, that our lot was now back on the market and if I wanted to restart the process, the cost of the lot will go up $2000! Another thing that seemed rushed was picking options on everything. I don't feel you can make all of your decisions in one sitting and be confident in those choices. There should allow more than one session at the design studio so you can be sure you are happy with your choices. During the building process we would stop by and check on the progress. The framing seemed fine. I do not know all the codes the have to follow so I assume the framing is good. But seeing the drywall going in, I started noticing obvious concerns. There were places that broken sheets of drywall were installed and cut outs around outlets and switches were huge, to the point that they had to fill with mud because outlet and switch covers would not be big enough(many were like that after texture and paint). Maybe this is standard practice in the construction industry? I don't know. Then the part that truly matters, the finished product that everyone sees, was disappointing. The paint job was sloppy, workmanship is poor. Outlet covers and switch covers had paint on them or some places they didn't paint close enough so there is a noticeable gap with no paint. I found places when the window sills were painted, they also painted parts of the window frame and just left it like that. Couldn't they remove the covers and use tape to prevent this? Maybe they don't as a common practice in that industry? Again, I don't know. There are places where the baseboard is pieced together instead of just using one piece. I'm not talking about 6, 8, 10 feet or whatever length a full piece is. I'm talking about joints a couple feet apart. That would be fine but at least make a real attempt to hide the joint. Some of the cabinet were all scratched, doors scratched or with small holes all over. I could go on, but you get the idea. Obviously a very rushed job all the way around. This is in a home that costs about $500,000. At what price point do you get quality work??? I thought for that price, I shouldn't be seeing the poor work that I am. I do have to say that KB has gone back over and tried to fix some of the issues I raised. But when the overall workmanship started out poor, it is difficult to make it all good. I bought a brand new home, with that I expected it to perfect inside. There have been so many issues in my house and still are. They have attempted to fix some things, but they still don’t look acceptable. Contractors that are doing my work don’t seem be professional and you can tell in their work.

I have lived in a KB home all my life. My parents have owned two KB Homes and when given the opportunity to purchase my very own KB Home came about, I was excited. Unfortunately, the experiences I have had were not the same as my parents. I expected more from a long time and reputable builder such as KB Home. For the amount of money I have paid, you would think the workmanship would be at the ultimate highest level. What was even more disappointing is the "talking out of both sides of the mouth" that occurred. I was told things probably just to appease me and then there was no follow through; totally "ghosted". What made matters even worse, one customer service person tried to coerce me into giving a dishonest review, when I only spoke the truth from my experience, and because of that review, I was told they would not be doing something they said they would do, which I ended up having to come out of pocket for. Furthermore, I have taken to managing the "fixes" needed in my "new" house and currently working with a great person from another department to get things taken care of. ... More

Do not sign anything until it is complete. Do not let KB home manipulate you.

KB promises 100% completion before move-in, but they did not deliver on their promise. Our home was far from being completed with numerous flaws and construction problems. We are still dealing with issues that have not be fixed or even addressed. Our neighbors have similar or worse issues. I have purchased other new home in the past and have never had such a bad experience. If I had to do it over again, I would not buy a KB home.
