this is my first purchase from KB Home. the quality is average and the price is above average. Understood that the overall house-buying market in the bay area is crazy so I don't blame this on KB home. Cannot review on trustworthiness and responsiveness since I've just moved in for couple of days. I'm giving 3/5 just to be able to submit the result.

Most of the standard options are not bad to live with for a while. Standard vinyl flooring and carpet is a must change if you have the chance to do so. Living space is great and most areas are open enough to serve with great functionality. 3 car garage is enough room to work with if you need to park cars and still store things. I'm not sure I would be able to work with the size of the 2 car garage.

The painting, tile work and concrete work was poor. I realize that this is not a custom home but the work above bad.

Just moved a few weeks ago. Everything as KB. Promised

From the sales staff to the service people every KB HOME employee was polite, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with. We have owned 7 homes over many years and we were more than pleased with the quality, design anf craftmanship we found in our KB home

We are on our 3rd house. The consequences of moving due to the job market. Brief our journey purchasing KB Homes was smooth, friendly, professional, and welcoming. Thank you to everyone who contributed and made this journey enjoyable.

Nice neighborhood

The major parts of the home were built well. However, we have had so many electrical issues and issues with the paint. The responsiveness to get things fixed has been good, but only after I got the regional manager Ed involved. KB home needs to do a better job at doing things right the first time instead of doing things again. The roof has already had a leak due to the laziness of the roofing crew not putting on one of the vents which caused the lights in the master bedroom to short out. The paint job in some areas was mediocre at best. Also, the house was dirty once we moved in. KB home needs to reclean my home or reimburse me the cleaning fee and charge the cleaning crew for their lack of care. ... More

The entire team from my Sales Staff from the very beginning to end , Construction with constant updates and pictures because we were hundreds of miles away. They kept me in the loop of any changes and improvements. Also my lender how was amazing helping me through all the steps being a first time home buyer. He answered all my questions anytime of the day!

From experience, the quality of some materials for this home are not on the same level as used to build my previous home. For example, the toilet seats are cheap plastic not quality materials, shower door assembly in master bedroom, walls leave scuff marks rather quickly, cracks in shower floor. Entry door from outside was improperly installed. The doors are not solid wood, but hollow pressed wood and not as secure. However, all issues were corrected when reported to KB representative, thus far.

The home was delivered on time and the home is excellent. We appreciate the good communication by our sales agent and construction manager.

We continue to have electrical issues after the electrician came out and there has been no responses to emails to customer service.

If you are a first time buyer kB makes the process a very informative one and helps you through every phase of the build

New home buying experience can be intimidating but you just need to know what you need in your new home before you go to the studio.
