We have never owned a brand new house before. We went into this skeptical but excited as the experience is completely different from purchasing a pre owned house. And the fact that we were doing this mostly over the phone (we’re from another state) made it even more daunting. Everyone from the agents, design team and finance team down to the construction crew and supervisor were attentive and went above and beyond whenever there was a concern, issue or just the need to feel assured that all was going well. We would absolutely recommend KB Home to anyone looking to purchase a new build!!

I am not at all satisfied with Landscaping and missing few things by construction people. Construction people they are not installing what we have chosen in kb designer studios properly.

Everyone I worked with one-on-one at KB Home was kind and helpful. This would include my sales agent, interior design specialist, loan processor and construction manager. But these kind people where not the ones assigned to do the actual physical building of my home. On a good note, My home seemed to have a solid foundation, sturdy frame construction, plumbing and electric that were up to par.. But after that the cosmetic work on my home left a lot to be desired. The paint/caulking, trim, carpet, tile/grout and landscaping where overall a sloppy sloppy disappointing mess that soured the joy and usual personal satisfaction associated with building and buying a retirement home. There was over spray on cabinets. There was split trim and short cut trim with half inch gaps that were filled in and smoothed over by fat fingered caulking, Caulk and paint was smeared over dirty surfaces and even onto and into the carpeting. Poorly laid carpet had fraying gaps and holes. The new carpet was soiled with mud stains to the point that all the carpeting had to be steam cleaned. I think it should have been replaced. Both painted and stained surfaces had runs the size of an 18inch ruler. Over-all I paid hard earned money, saved over my lifetime, to KB Home who built me a new house with a"janky" interior. My yard looks like a sod remnant sale. There are two or three different kinds of grasses patched together from the front to the back and from side to side. When asked what type of grass is planted in my yard, I simply say in embarrassment, "it is green grass". Like the inside of the house my lawn is also a sloppy "janky" mess. In closing, I should mention that my home loan was originated through KB Home Loans. and I was constantly finding errors and mistakes in documents that had to be corrected and reworked throughout the process. KB Home delivered on their promise on value and customer service. As a first-time homebuyer, the process was very transparent and quite simple. I strongly recommend KBH for first time homebuyers out there.

When buying a new home get ready to go from 0 to 100 mph in a moment. Be on hand to watch you house being built if possible. Write down or take good notes and ask questions a lot of questions. Our sales represent David did and awesome job keeping us informed and communicating with the builder of our concerns, working with our relator when it came to crunch time and always being available on his days off. Heather did a great job ensuring the project managers addressed our concerns. It is important that you pay great attention to the details of the construction process, take plenty of pictures before the house is closed in. Look at the crafts work and remember they or only working with the materials provided by the builder. Not every board is perfect this will be more evident when the project is near completion i.e. floors may not be solid when walked on, the walls may not be perfect and have bows, the windows when dry walled may not be true and will need to be floated in to appear square and if measuring for window blinds learn the correct way to measure them because the width at the top won't be the same as the middle or bottom, remember quality of materials. Watch for the quality of paint used the crafts are only as good as the product they are provided and the preparation of the materials. You are very lucking of have the yard fenced and grass installed. That being said, look at the quality of land if it is rocky with little dirt the build will use the minimal amount of soil 4" and install sod on top of that. The company that provides our turf recommended up 6" of soil with a fertilizer worked in before the turf was to be installed because of our soil condition. You will need to apply fertilizer within a month of moving in see the turf supplier's recommendation. Prior to closing have your house inspected by a third party it's worth the money remember these are new homes being built by the crafts and managed by project managers build multiple homes at one time things will get missed. The staff has great communication. And respond quickly to your issues. But th only bad note was the workers that were sent to repair/ fix the issues. Some had bad attitudes & some workers show no pride in there work & leave a mess.

It was one of the worst experiences of my life and now that I have moved in there are even more issues

The overall experience with KB was seamless. Victoria in Sales was the glue that held the transaction together. They were one of the ONLY builders in the area still allowing for customizations. I am pleased with the purchase, my experience as well as the communication from the entire team throughout the process.

Moved to Tucson in March. Discovered after months of searching new & pre-owned homes with top realtor Peter that KB offered a sound value, contemporary design, quality location for a commuter to downtown as well as to Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, competent build, and hired outstanding can-do staff (including but not limited to Elaine (who introduced me to KB) in sales, Eddie in sales, Rose in walk-through, and Jack the construction supervisor). No regrets!

Quality of house is great. Kb did a great job.

Sold me a lot then built guest parking on part of my property. Awaiting what they are going to do, otherwise need to take legal counsel. Didn’t even have on the lot map they were adding guest parking near my home. Who wants strangers coming and going outside their doorstep? Contractors constantly over due to faulty and incomplete construction. All promises things would be fixed. Still dealing with humidity problems, AC problems, plumbing problems, electrical problems. No one cares. Never ends. Already contacted a realtor to sell my home but KB dropped sales pricing and offering better incentives now, 2 months after close, so looking to loose a ton. Stay away. ... Horrible experience. Where is the info regarding the media panel? Where is my mailbox? Why are my gate fobs not working? Where are the paint cans you told me I’d have? Why are your employees not responding? You guys need to learn how to provide a full packet at settlement. Instead of spreading out information in sixteen different places. Your customers legit hate you. Get on the Liberty Facebook page and see how angry your buyers are. Never giving you my business again.

Overall, we have a great experience with our KB home purchase. It was very smooth. The Superintendent and his crews have been very helpful from day one. They are very responsive and accommodating. We know that we can always count on them to get things addressed promptly and professionally. The KB Customer service is also great and helpful. They promptly address our inquiries and concerns. However, our experience with KB Home Insurance agency has not been that great.

My family is beyond satisfied , we love everything about this experience 10 out of 10 . Everything is awesome

From day one "Hello, Welcome" till "Congratulations! Your keys are ready for you!", it has been an exciting journey. We had the opportunity to pick our home location, home size, and wide options of upgrades to our desire. They were very friendly and professional and also reassure me of warranties for any imperfections. My second KB home and will Recommend to anyone!

My buying experience was Amazing.. KB staff not only are the most professional, but also help you guide and explained every detailed when purchasing a home with KB.
