Deb in sales was great!

Attention to Detail was not very good at all! Response time to issues that were supposed to be addressed before move in were not completed and had to constantly call and get the same run around.

We love our new home but the responsiveness to issues is tough, our warranty person never got back to us about a couple of items, i still don't even know how to enter things into the warranty.

Overall good experience but check every thing.

Given the Austin's crazy real estate market, KB did a good job with their pricing, as we had to wait 7 months for the delivery. They had good customer service and continuous updates, however, we had no possibility of changing anything in the house at all. The electric job was great. Lawns are terrible, seems like a tractor went through it and they didn't bother leveling it. Paint people are yet to make an appointment to fix the paint issues 2 months after closing. For the rest of the minor issues here and there their warranty team was awesome, they fixed it all very fast. I'd recommend them as long as you can select your Doors and make sure that the paint/woodmanship have been done properly. ... More

Overall it was a great experience with few hiccups along the way. The KB team was able to acknowledge and address my concerns in a timely matter. If anything was missed, a simple follow up seemed to suffice and any issues were taken care of. One complaint I will have is in regards to the choice of leaving the ugly, black tube for the AC condensation drain. I’ve never seen that before and every house I’ve lived in prior has had some sort if PVC piping going into the ground (sort of a French drain). It looks pretty shoddy while it kills my grass and serves as an ideal chew toy for my dog. Wish this was addressed. Otherwise, I ultimately had a good experience. Five stars means perfect (which doesn’t exist) so 4 across the board and 3 for quality mainly because of the AC condensation drain and the number of touch ups that were needed. ... More

Great value for a start home under current market. Need more consideration for normal design to fit for smaller house these days such as avoid door overlap when both open, two big oak trees in a very small from lawn that too close to drive way...

Good home...but no details are given to the customer concerning the sprinkler system...

Our experience with KB definitely had its highs and lows. In the beginning of the build there was a bit of a foul taste and when considering communication from the studio the thought to pull out crossed our minds several times. It's really unfortunate the staff in the studio was not on point with descriptions and lacked in depth knowledge of options; their lacking lead to issues with construction and our overall satisfaction. We were fortunate enough to have a realtor, Shae Nickerson, that operated with what we wanted in mind from day one, up to and past closing. We were also blessed to be assigned Phil as our construction supervisor who honestly turned our experience all the was around and increased the star ratings. Phil was phenomenal, patient, responsive, responsible, open minded, diligent, thorough, thoughtful and hands down the best person to see our build to completion and then some; Phil definitely earned his kudos and 5 stars for responsiveness. Overall the experience was good and we would build again with KB. The finish line to closing was confusing and unnecessarily stressful and some things in the house aren't holding up like they should, like faucets and we haven't even paid our first mortgage. While they have been responsive, the means to fix the problems are a little inconvenient.

Buying experience could definitely be better. We went with another lender and got the vibe KB wanted us to choose their lender.

It was good considering it being our first time buying.

We love the value of the home but that can come with a price by some corners being cut. Then when you request help in fixing, silence!

KB Homes is solid on quality, design and build options. The issue they fall down on is the lack of follow through on promises made during construction. Big on promises, small on delivery. Constant squeaky wheel to get things done and completed; no modifications can be made - period. Constantly ask to fill out a 5 star review. You earn what you get, not what you want

We love our home and the neighbourhood. However, I do feel that some finishings and quality of the materials could have been better. I must say that I had to be on top of the construction throughout the whole process requesting improvements and that was a little annoying. Some details like fence materials and landscaping should be improved. Ok the other hand, the variety of upgrade options made us feel we could give our house a special touch.

Sales, Design Center, Contractors- A+++++++++ KB's Loan Process and Underwriters F++++ We were not first time buyers , good credit, work history and payment history. Not a risk yet we felt like we were being interrogated by the FBI. Customer unfriendly.

The Lid on the water meter is broken and it has not fixed yet since Jan 13th. Everyone is aware of it not sure what is causing the delay.

Overall, we were satisfied with our purchase

I had the plumbers miss the hot water pipe to my washer machine and after a week of moving in, my daughters closet flooded. I was miserable and I started hating my house so much. Everything was fixed a week and a half later. It was a very stressful experience. I’m slowly starting to love my house again since that has been repaired.

We’ve had some issues with walls not being square, and trim finishes and painting subpar. Also we have reached out to our warranty representative without response.
