A few too many days we had issues with, the major thing was a hole in the pecs water system .. flooded the master closet in the hallway leading to the master bathroom and throughout the kitchen hallway and washroom area, though it wasn’t KB‘s fault but it should’ve been picked up when the stove top was installed the paint was all pitted and lifted prior to us taking possession of the home, one of the downspouts on the rain gutter system was completely caved in, A lot of overspray throughout the kitchen cabinets and the tile floors.

A lot of issues til now.

would not recommend upgrading your title. KB tile contractors have sloppy work floor is uneven and the grout is three different colors in our new home. Tile company did not even have a wet saw. My son is 18 months old and will stumble when walking to the house on uneven tiles. The other trades seem to do a little bit better for KB. My recommendation would be save your money. Don’t upgrade find a professional that can do it right after you’re in your house.

Despite some issues, we are still happy with our new KB home.

This being our first time having a home build it seems to me the materials used on the inside of the home should be of better quality for the price your spending on your home.

(Not going to say anything bad but I don’t have anything good to say about either) Customer Service Rep: Started with Eric and now have Damon ( Damon is definitely helping with the issues) With all the switching, I felt like that was a red flag alone.... Honestly I haven’t been happy. This was my first purchased home and I’ve had quite a few issues. Yes, understand mistakes happen but does this company have a in house inspector or is it the “project managers” job to catch the workers mistakes... Just a few things I’ve dealt with in my “brand new home”..... Some of the bedroom doors don’t lock - need to tell Damon. Carpet issues - repaired! Fence detached - notified Damon Dented garage - replaced and painted. Damon is working on that. All personnel I interact with were very accommodating. Thank you! window measurements are not the same on same window sizes. front grass lawn were dying, 60 percent weeds.

You get what you paid for!!!

Take your time to check everything carefully before signing off. My brand new stainless steel sink has been scratch, also my counter top. The paint on my garage still showing streaks of white paint, My front doorknob has a different color paint than my stain door. At the bottom of my front door I can see daylight . I notice a hole on the ceiling in my closet. Painting looks like my 5 yr old nephew did it. The fence is poorly put together. Workmanship gets a F - …….

Our house did not have the upgrades we selected at the studio. We realized that only after closing. They haven't fixed it yet and is delayed for ever. Rest everything is good so far.

the building team was and is amazing. they are the reason I recommended kb homes in the state of florida.

We love our new home.

Take note of all the mistakes and errors during the construction and supervise as much as possible for they are not going to correct this issues unless brought upon to the supervisor and take pictures as evidence.

We were provided with incorrect information prior to purchase. Were told that there was only one home left to build in this area and that is why they were selling this display home at reduced price. Three more homes have been built across the street since we moved in. Home insurance company notified us that they were canceling our insurance due to a roofing issue. The shingle were rolling or curling. KB Homes said this was not under warranty (2 months after purchasing home) but they would repair it out of gratuity. Still have to provide proof to the insurance company. Now we have discovered that blown in insulation was not completed in the attic. Wonder how KB will react to this. Quality of workmanship is lacking specifically painting of the doors, accent windows, etc. Still see paint drips and paint of glass of glass doors and windows. Make sure to fully understand what specials are being offered. Some of the sales rep are not familiar with the specials and can provide conflicting information. Have these resolve as soon as possible or you will lose out on the special.

My overall experience buying thisnhome started out amazing. In fact i didnt even think i was going to be buying a KB Home but the salesperson michael was amazing and when we saw the model home it was everything we wanted and the peefect price. The construction team was very communicative and during the build and kept me updated. My experience went south when my loan officer Victoria got involved. There was zero communication on locking in my interest rate so when it came time to close the interest rate had gone up! The only way we could get it back to the original rate is to do a adjustable rate mortgage and because of her bad communication i now had to roll the dice and hope i can refinance at some point in the next 5 years or take on future intrest rates which could cost us thousands of dollars in paying interest. I originally wanted 30 year fixed loan but the amaount of money it would have cost us to get the rate down was far outside what i budgeted. That was just the first experience. The next was no communication around the closing day! Yes the most important day of a homeowners journey she failed to give me accurate dates costing me even more money in extending my lease for a couple days and staying in a hotel for a couple days. The closing day wasnt just misquoted once not twice but three times. Keep in mind i have all my stuff packed up in a uhaul and am now having to pay extended uhaul rental days. I was basically homeless for a week with my fiance and a new born. When it came time for a manager to take care of the situation the response was slow and took forever. They told me multiple times “there is nothing we can do”. I finally got a hold of the regional manager and he was professional and able to offer me $1000 towards my closing. Though that didnt event slightly cover the cost of adjustments i had to make. I didnt really care about the money it was more that my feedback was heard to prevent anyone else from having this same experience. He also was able to help arrange a closing day on a saturday which i am appreciative even though it was still my loan officers fault for skipping over major details in the process that caused this. The icing on the cake was when we finally closed and got to our new home. The loan officer never told the construction manager about us closing on saturday so he could have the house cleaned and ready for us. So we came in to a home that didnt have its finishing touch. The construction manager brayden was able to get a crew out asap and have it cleaned but the breakdown in communication was unfortunate and again we just had to roll with the punches. As a homeowner i would now never want to buy a home again because of how tramatizing this experience was. As a loan officer you basically have the customers finacial future in the palm of your hands. The least you could do is slow down when it comes to MAJOR details and make sure the customer is caught up. My experience with the sales guys was great, but not so with KB management who seems invisible. They only use the small guys on the ground for issues that require leadership to address. Please ensure you ask all questions before construction begins, I assumed sprinkler system was part of the home, only to discover last minute, it's an additional expense, it was not disclosed in the beginning.

My initial experience with KB was quite good. The sales, design studio, mortgage lending and construction manager would be rated 5 stars to work with but after closing, my experience has been much different. Pretty much, once you close on the house and try to get responsiveness from the warranty department to correct sloppy work completed along the way during the construction of your 'new' home, you can expect at least a month of back and forth to try to get anything accomplished. Severely disappointed based on my original high expectations from KB. Their motto of "Built on Relationships" is a complete farce in my experience. ... More

Closing process was such a headache, documentation process is so messy that it delayed us from closing for about 3 months. Loan processor was changed mid process and we had to gather all documentation all over again. Overall not a very simple process for closing. Review in regards to the house: Everything is working well, happy to finally have settled into my new home.

Good experience buying the house. However, the responses to issues found in my have been too slow.

KB Homes has great homes with great upgrades for the price. My experience with the sales agent and construction manager were awesome!

3 months delay caused a closing on a higher interest rate. Finishing wasn't that good. Everything in the house is a standard and you have to pay to upgrade, upgrades only cost me $31k. Little details could make difference and help me save money such as adding a towel hanger next to the shower. But one employee can change your experience and I have to thank the superintendent Bobby who delivered my house, he is super nice and professional.
