Before construction, the supervisor said that he is going to give a weekly update but sometimes does not give info unless he is called.

Take note of all the mistakes and errors during the construction and supervise as much as possible for they are not going to correct this issues unless brought upon to the supervisor and take pictures as evidence.

We were provided with incorrect information prior to purchase. Were told that there was only one home left to build in this area and that is why they were selling this display home at reduced price. Three more homes have been built across the street since we moved in. Home insurance company notified us that they were canceling our insurance due to a roofing issue. The shingle were rolling or curling. KB Homes said this was not under warranty (2 months after purchasing home) but they would repair it out of gratuity. My experience with the sales guys was great, but not so with KB management who seems invisible. They only use the small guys on the ground for issues that require leadership to address. Please ensure you ask all questions before construction begins, I assumed sprinkler system was part of the home, only to discover last minute, it's an additional expense, it was not disclosed in the beginning.

My initial experience with KB was quite good. The sales, design studio, mortgage lending and construction manager would be rated 5 stars to work with but after closing, my experience has been much different. Pretty much, once you close on the house and try to get responsiveness from the warranty department to correct sloppy work completed along the way during the construction of your 'new' home, you can expect at least a month of back and forth to try to get anything accomplished. Severely disappointed based on my original high expectations from KB. Their motto of "Built on Relationships" ...

3 months delay caused a closing on a higher interest rate. Finishing wasn't that good. Everything in the house is a standard and you have to pay to upgrade, upgrades only cost me $31k. Little details could make difference and help me save money such as adding a towel hanger next to the shower. But one employee can change your experience and I have to thank the superintendent Bobby who delivered my house, he is super nice and professional.

It was a great experience with buying my new home. Everyone was a pleasure to work with. The only minor issues I’ve noticed after moving in was sloppy caulking and painting in certain areas. They could really use some new construction workers, most of them are lazy!

Material used for home are cheap. Blue tape was taken lightly and not fixed appropriately. Claim calls have been great! Response has been fast.

I wish I could have given a better rating but I have to be honest about this review. In my opinion, the construction material is not the greatest quality. We noticed a few things since moving in, such as our front door does not feel secure. A corner of the front door near the lock is cracked, and someone used something like clay to patch the crack. The front door pops open a little even when the door is locked. The lock does not turn completely to assure the lock won’t reopen. The front door feels like hard plastic instead of real wood. The door in the master bathroom does not close unless ...

Brand new home with issues and even though they tell you there is a warranty, no one calls to follow up or give an idea when issues will be taken care of. So not sure whether issues will be fixed.

Everyone I worked with one-on-one at KB Home was kind and helpful. This would include my sales agent, interior design specialist, loan processor and construction manager. But these kind people where not the ones assigned to do the actual physical building of my home. On a good note, My home seemed to have a solid foundation, sturdy frame construction, plumbing and electric that were up to par.. But after that the cosmetic work on my home left a lot to be desired. Seller’s agent Tanika had been great but I had some bad experience with a couple of others after discovering a water leak with about a week after moving in. I picked KB because of some friends who had a good experience at another city. Maybe it was the pandemic, the supplies shortages, the shortage in workers but they could really do better.

I get an astronomical amount of automated junk mail and calls from KB home. Representatives begging for survey scores rather than offering solutions. I get contacted more about surveys than I do from the post sale representative that is suppose to take care of my punch list.

The workmanship is one of the major keys that makes the house not worth the price. Everything was so thrown together and now we have to deal with asking them to fix several things that appear to be KNOWN issues but overlooked just to go ahead and secure the sale.

I would not recommend KB Homes to anyone. Unless they really wanted to be in the community that KB is developing. Build quality, craftsmanship and finish and attention to details is inferior to many other builders Like Terry Homes
