It was not a great experience for the first time

Not the best experience, definitely makes me doubt reusing kb home services in the fut

Decent home. Seems like hires crews rather finish work quickly than provide quality work.

Home still has a few things that need to be fixed: Garage does not work. Patio ceiling fan does not work. Faucet water smells horrible

I wish I could have given a better rating but I have to be honest about this review. In my opinion, the construction material is not the greatest quality. We noticed a few things since moving in, such as our front door does not feel secure. A corner of the front door near the lock is cracked, and someone used something like clay to patch the crack. The front door pops open a little even when the door is locked. The lock does not turn completely to assure the lock won’t reopen. The front door feels like hard plastic instead of real wood. The door in the master bathroom does not close unless you try lifting the door. Also the kitchen outlets does not work. Most door knobs lock counter clockwise which drives me crazy because I want to turn the locks clockwise. I gave home buying experience a 3 because there was a lot of miscommunication throughout the home buying Process with the financial department. I think you get a decent size home for the price, but quality and attention to detail shouldn’t be sacrificed ... More

Brand new home with issues and even though they tell you there is a warranty, no one calls to follow up or give an idea when issues will be taken care of. So not sure whether issues will be fixed.

I would not recommend KB Homes to anyone. Unless they really wanted to be in the community that KB is developing. Build quality, craftsmanship and finish and attention to details is inferior to many other builders Like Terry Homes

We are very disappointed with our house we are still having people fixing discrepancies that should have been done before moving in. I am starting to see that my KB home was done very poorly and it is frustrating having to pay this much money and not have this house done correctly. I feel like

Still waiting for things to be fixed- over a month in the home- that were promised to be fixed before we moved in.

They left splotches of concrete on the driveway ,there are weird bumps in our tile ,they never came to redo our paint , and when they redid our fence the didnt angle it straight across it goes up down back up then down which makes no sense . Brandon has been unresponsive which says alot considering he told me to close on the house and he'd still fix all the issues

Watch the construction of your house because the finish work is not up to par

The builder was great dusty but to be honest find you an outside lender cause kb lenders don’t know how to do there job Anita was terrible worse experience ever she stressed me out daily lied about everything from the start and then other lenders tried to fix her mess and couldn’t felt so bad for the guy trying to help but to many people warned me to get an outside lender I should have listened from the start but my home is beautiful love the open concept but get you an outside lender less stress

Overall process was long and frustrating not KB’s fault but our Bank loan process. Overall experience with builder was great. House was ready to move in. There a few things that need to be fixed after move in that we haven’t received any response or done yet.

You have all read how unhappy I was with my process. Until Oscar took over. I’ve stated it over and over, he saved the sale.

We love our home, but the process to get into it was frustrating. Putting aside supply chain issues that are out of anyone's control, we were jerked around by KB throughout the construction process and communication was inconsistent. The lender they push you to use had poor customer service. The house wasn't ready at closing, and we're still trying to get the last outstanding issue finished. It felt like they were trying to crank out more homes than they're able to do and we fell into the cracks. It doesn't matter how many times they apologize to me, I still will not recommend this builder.

Overall, I'm happy with the home itself and have no regrets. It's not the *highest quality* home out there, but, for what it cost, I can't complain too much. That's not to say that the quality is abysmal -- it's a very decent home that looks and feels good and is about worth what I paid. However, the closing process was awful. To be clear, the KB Team responsible for the building and completion of the home was great: I was given timely and accurate updates and the home itself was completed in time to meet a potential close date that would have worked well with my schedule. Unfortunately, it seems that the internal communication within the KB team is nonexistent: The part of the KB Team that was responsible for making sure that everything was in place for the clear-to-close was unaware of the status of the build and the appraisal never happened. I ended up getting a text the day before we were originally supposed to close saying that we cannot close the next day. The next two weeks involved back-and-forth texting and emailing, every day, trying to determine which day we should plan to close, only to be told "we don't know." It was a logistical nightmare. Finally, on the second to last possible day that I was available before being out of town for a week, I receive an email letting me know that the appraisal arrived and that we're clear to close. The rest of that day was a scramble to get out of work early and make it to the title company. I'm in my home now and the house is wonderful and the neighborhood is great, but the KB Team needs to get it together. ... More

The seller took a lot of time to reply and help during the process. Stefano was on vacations, sick or day off when I need it. He did not help me when o need it he was more interested in new customers than the one with contract signed

Not a great experience as a FTHB. Salesman just wanted to make a sale and at times was not prompt in answering my questions or concerns. The project manager was worse. Unprofessional and unwilling to work with me until it was nearing closing time. Pushed back closing more than five times and I was very patient about it but the project manager wanted to blame me. Thankfully my loan officer understood how this particular KB PM worked and helped me out so I did not have to pay for a rate lock extension. Would look elsewhere if you're a FTHB. Had to point out A LOT of issues during the build and really advocate for things to be fixed. This is not how a business should run. ... More

I have recently been having to deal with a gap in the insurance covers that was supposed to be paid by the lender/title company causing me to have to be wasting time on the phone because someone dropped the ball on your end. Not very pleased with this. I am not the first person that has bought a home which required wind and hail coverage so I’m pretty sure this company has dealt with knowing that there is no grace period with a new policy and so you all should have paid the policy on the due date as specified on all the paperwork that was sent to you days prior to closing. My experience with the sales and construction side was great…. However, I advise anyone not to use kb lender they were horrible I don’t care what incentive their offering go with your own lender. They dropped the ball so many times never took accountability. They will go radio silent on you at the end and leave you wondering what’s going on. I had to put my foot down and threaten to call corporate. The contractors they use are subpar. Once you move into the home getting someone out to fix anything is a nightmare. Thank God my Superintendent would come and fix somethings for me. On Two occasions I have took time off of my job for the vendors not show and all Shelby could tell me was oh we will just have to reschedule.. They have no regard for your time. I have to work just like them and I can’t keep taking off my job. The post purchase has been the worst experience God forbid if it’s something major happen I have to pray they’ll even show and kb acts as if they have no control over the vendors that they hire. ...
