This as been a terrible purchase. My son use to work for KB home and tons of things are happen that he said are not the same when he was there and he is the reason I purchased this house. The Finance company tried to rip me off with the rate, construction was unresponsive and didn't get work done in time for closing. As a matter of fact there is still work outstanding and my son had to coordinate most of things himself because he was tried of waiting on construction. No one at KB Home order the Certificate of Occupancy, so my son ordered it himself from the city of Cibolo. No one from KB communicates and apologizes for closing a week late and work unfinished. ... There is just to many things to itemized. The house upon completion looked like it was completed with out supervision. To the point that when I was on the final walk through there was a picture of a Man's Private Part drawn on the Garage wall and it was unseen by the project manager. Then they ask you repeatedly if you can give them 10's on the Construction manager survey over and over even though they know it is not deserved but you feel compelled to or the stuff you need fixed in you newly bought home will not get fixed or it will be done with a grudge. I do not plan on getting another KB home after this experience and I am telling everyone I know that even if they can find a home that is smaller but cost more than a KB home go with the smoller home that is better quality. All you get with KB is more sqft for the price. But then you have to question what problems am I going to have to deal with after I get in the home because the home was so poorly built. ... More

The home buying process was seamless, Jerry and Rueben are awesome. My customer service rep is very responsive in getting things done. Check every little nook and cranny of your home and do site visits if possible. My home was not cleaned before moving in so I had paint speckles all throughout the home, handprints were everywhere in the flooring which took some scrubbing because it didn't come up with just a mop. DO NOT sign off that your home is 100% until everything is to your standard or liking. Depending on where you move the ball may get dropped on somethings. My sprinkler system doesn't cover my entire yard so I have dead patches that we have to hand water. For the most part I have a good Rep that does get things done after move in, so Im ok with my home. ... More

Hello! This is my first experience purchase home. Until now everything is running wonderfully. I wish contienue it. The constructor always is gentle and willing to give you support. Of course I I love it. I wish you the best of luck in your purchase

My experience with KB Home has not been good. First, our closing date kept being moved. This cost us more money for rental trailer. We drove to Texas from Los Angeles expecting to enter a "move-in ready" home. It was far from ready for anyone to move in! Our Toilet was not attached in one bathroom and the times underneath were all broken from someone apparently working on it. Our second bathroom had a sign on the Toilet that said "do not use". Our tile floor was a mess! There are chips in many of the times. The times are uneven and unevenly spaces along with slopes in the living room. All of the base board needed to be repainted. Our venta were put in wrong and the ceiling was cut to large to fit the venta it, but no one fixed it so we had gaps in the ceiling and extra nail holes. Some of the Doors including the front door did not close correctly. The backyard was full of trash. It also had an area that was sinking. I could go on and on about all of the issues, but I believe you get the point. I wrote emails with pictures to the corporate office and they responded quickly. However, we have been in the home for almost two months and we still have people coming to fix issues. If I would have known about the quality of work I would have gone with a different builder. I was always updated during the home buying process and even after I still had great communication with the representatives.

We saw the houses, we started the process and we were closing within 6 weeks. It was a speedy process and the team was very responsive.

Materials used are cheap and coming apart. KB waits until day before 30 day inspection to try and fix things. They never came back to fix the rest of our issues

This was my 2nd time buying a home and it was SOOO painless !!! David was an amazing communicator. Megan (my loan Officer) was very attentive and Josh my building contractor checked in weekly after I purchased my home! just an Overall EXCELLENT experience.

My mom, sister and I built a KB Home in Shoreline Park and our experience was fantastic! From working with Paul in sales to Orlando in the studio for selections to Darin with our build, everything went great! We'll build again if given the chance!

The mortgage service was slow, not efficient, and missed communication between the team members. They kept on asking to provide the same documents and not respond to email nor phone call.

It was good. Closed in two months, and very helpful team.

It took time to finished the house. (Signed the contract April 2022 and closed June 30, 2023). I was told that someone will come or call to follow up 30 days after I occupied the property. So far nobody showed up and got no phone call. I emailed the warranty services but got no response yet. Overall though I like KB homes, you can personalize your own design along with their own design team.

I had a very professional experience and would highly recommend purchasing a house from KB Home.

Since the start, purchasing my home from KB, was not a good experience. The day of closing turned out to be a week of closing. Now that I’ve moved into the house, doors were not hung properly, the carpet was not tacked down correctly, it lifts from most of the corners in big sections. The living/ dining rooms tiles were not installed correctly. The tiles were uneven. I’ve been sitting in a construction site for a week and it looks like it’ll be longer. I feel like I’ve made a mistake buying this house. I’m so frustrated.

With this being our 2nd purchase with KB and communicating the concerns and issues we encountered with our first purchase, we assumed this experience would be different. First, we had issues with the lot on which we put our good-faith deposit. We were told the lot reserved for us could not have the plan we selected built on it due to city regulations. We were then given the option to have a different corner lot, and the build would be faster (February) because the city permits were already complete. This meant we had to accept options we did not want but agreed to because a faster build date is what we needed. Foundation was poured without our knowledge, and regarding the weekly touch bases with our project manager, that never happened. We had to reach out to get updates on the build's status. We had an independent inspector check the house as it was being built to ensure it was done to standard (several items were noted on the report(s) and went not being addressed/fixed). Fast forward, we were set to close and confirmed the appointment the day before. We show up and were told we have not signed off on the "completed home" and that the home closing would not happen. We sat there for over an hour, waiting for someone to tell us what was happening and what would happen. We have been in our home for a little over a month and are still waiting for repairs/corrections to be completed. The lack of communication is still an issue.
