The responsiveness and care I was given exceeded my expectations! The project manager was always available, kind and professional. This is my first home purchase in Texas and couldn't be happier!

This a great house overall but comes with a lot of issues low quality materials and some really bad details from construction contractors !! Once I start looking around everything I find a lot of ugly things I have being fixing myself since I don’t trust them at all !!

Communication is lacking in my opinion. Lots of last minute things causing more stress. Construction did a great job and communication was good with them. They were on top of getting repairs scheduled timely. Getting the home move in ready inside and out was not completed to my satisfaction. It could have been mowed and cleaned up better.

I reported the sliding door is damaged and installed backwards, someone came to look at it and I never heard from anyone again. I had an access panel to space under the stairwell installed and found it was completely full of scrap sheet rock. That just screams we don’t car … why not properly discard scraps instead of leaving them hidden in my house, what else is hidden in my house? I dare not look in the attic. Overall the workmanship in my opinion lacks pride. My opinion has gone down since I moved in.

Less than average experience so far in this new community.

After we picked the house we wanted, nothing was good or great after that. Mortgage company was horrible. We did a walk through previously with blue tape and signed off. When we moved in, nothing was fixed we had marked. Trying to get them to fix anything was like pulling teeth and we had to do some of it ourselves. When someone spends over $400,000 on a brand new house, the buyer shouldn't have to do quality control in the contractors job. Do not recommend.

I have been in my new home for almost 2 months now and I'm very happy with my home. Darin and KB have been great addressing any after move in issues. Not one complaint as of now.

Our sales manager and building manager were the best and most reliable understanding helpful out of everyone. They seemed to actually care about us as people not just trying to make a sale or be done. They continued to check on us days and weeks after moving in, we’re responsive to questions or recommendations and friendly at every turn.

KB Homes is not the cheapest, but they have fantastic value when you factor in the energy saving features and size of the home. Canyon Crest is a great location far enough away from the city to be quiet and close enough to get things done.

I did not have a great experience with KB. I had several problems that barely got resolved. The positive I got a nice house.

The subfloor on the second floor is completely loose, whenever you walk on some spots you can feel it moving and making noise cracking. When we moved in, we have bees right above our front porch, 2 months pass they still trying to figure out how to remove them. Small details they are fast to fix, but some more complicated problems they take time. Poor job on details. Food materials

I love my house but it’s low quality work

We were able to move in due to the prompt response of Jacob to fix most of the things that were wrong. Still issues as of right now but we are living on the house.

The entire process was excellent and all issues were addressed by the constitution foreman.

I recently had the experience of building a home with KB Home, and overall, I was very happy with the process. The company was professional and efficient, and they kept me updated on the progress of my home throughout the construction process. I would say our experience was up and down as first-time home buyers. I do think the process was interesting. You need a lot of patience as it took us almost a year to build. I do think that they would have clear contact information once you move and the communication could be a little better also who you need to contact for what since you have a warrant on the house?

The two people that made my experience awesome was Andrew and Tommy! They certainly went out of their way for me on numerous occasions and it will not be forgotten

The overall experience was a shade above terrible. As expected, the home took approximately 12 months from signing the contract to closing. For nearly 8-9 months we dealt with an unresponsive Construction Manager - named Scott and a similarly unresponsive Sales Rep named Bob (Ok. Bob was a tad-bit more responsive but very unreliable). Not only were they unresponsive, they were unclear in their communications creating much heartache and the potential loss of a sell. The only reason we remained on contract with the purchase of this home, is because of Brandon. Unbeknownst to us, Brandon was assigned as our new Construction Manager the last two-three months of this process drastically improving our experience. I feel confident in saying that had Brandon been our Construction Manager from the onset, KB would have gotten better ratings. Brandon was professional, honest, and understanding of our concerns and issues. He immediately addressed issues that had been outstanding for nearly 6 months (i.e. when there's a hole in your brand new roof during the winter and spring months, that's an issue that should be taken care off immediately). There are not enough words to express how outstanding the KB staffers were from beginning to end during the home buying process. Post purchase, they are still going beyond the call of duty by addressing my questions and being accountable for any discovered defects. KB has definitely been on my side. Thank you KB Fam!

This had to be one of the most stressful purchase and move we had ever experienced. I’ll start at the beginning with the loan officer, our loan officer matt gave us some expectation he was not able to keep. He was very unreliable, he would say I’ll call you and he would never do. During the whole process we were left in the dark, he was more worried about his personal business he had on the side than his actual job. We had no idea where our loan was in the process and on top of that we stressed to him the importance of setting our closing date because we were moving from Delaware to Texas and we had to move our closing date two times because he dropped the ball on turning in our documentation into the processing department even though we kept calling him to see if our paperwork had already been sent to the processing department to get our loan in the process. We were told that to compensate for the loan officers negligence we would be getting a garage door opener and that has yet to be installed in our home. The fun does not end here, my family and I get to Texas and not only was our house not ready the quality of craftsmanship has left me dumbfounded. There are so many discrepancies in the home and even though I have reached out to the project manager at least once a week I feel like we are left on the back burner since already moved in, not to mention we have been living here for over a month and have yet to be able to set up trash service or water under my name because the certificate of occupancy has not been released. This experience has really taken me by surprise because my wife and I had a purchased KB home in the past and the quality of craftsmanship was high and the experience was smooth but now it feels like a lot of corners were cut. ... Process was quick and overall please with the home construction. Just be weary if a new home build starts next to yours... Workers are not tidy and having alot of people around all the time that you have to pickup after... Plus regular porta potty s that get used frequently next to your home. Probably would have chosen a more developed area for next time.

Finance through the entire process was a nightmare, zero communication. I’m a first time buyer and they just uploaded more and more documents with ZERO explanation of what I was supposed to be signing. Finally after a very serious email threatening to back out of the entire thing someone reached out to me and basically told me they just need me to sign, It’s not really important stuff right now, when it is they’ll explain it. Keep in mind these are all financial documents. I put my earnest money down Jan 29th, on a “move in ready” home, my closing was listed as end of march. After pushing it out a week at a time with no updates I finally closed may 5th. Final items on construction list were done hastily and some had to be redone multiple times. Very little work done all of feb or march. Bulk done in April and with most getting finished the final 2 weeks. The entire process had me wanting to back out but I felt like there wasn’t really a better option financially. It was the best price for the size I needed including preowned homes. My lease was ending and I had put all my faith into this endeavor. They had to call in Mario, a different construction supervisor the last two weeks because of how unhappy I was, it is because of him that I went through with it. He communicated and actually explained the delays and seemed like he knew what he was talking about. I closed with only 4 days to move myself from my 2300 sq ft rental and have it inspection ready. Things still need to be fixed that weren’t caught during the final walk. There was a hold up with the electric company that prevented me from switching services for an entire month. I don’t believe the caulk that the painters used during touch up was the right kind or maybe because they painted over it immediately all the paint cracked and it does not look like the what I expected from a BRAND NEW 300k+ home. Most touch ups look like the landlord special. They told me they would do a courtesy paint touch up after everything was moved in. I basically declined it because I had to unpack after work every day and after a month I’m still not done, and after seeing how the last touch up went I’ll just take care of it myself. Flat paint was used throughout the entire house and I was told if you get something on the wall don’t try to wipe it off just paint over it or you’ll rub off the texture. All in all the quality is not even close to what I expected for the price but I just told myself that’s the best you’re going to get in this economy, and I can fix things myself and make them better. ...
