Paid attention more in the construction.

Our Salesman, Scott and our Contractor, Steve, were/are perfect examples of what it takes to walk you through your project and do what it takes to do it right...give the best customer service possible. There were a couple others that did or said things that almost made us walk away. But, because of these two men, we are in our KB Home and we are enjoying our Home. Even now, after 1 1/2 months, our contractor, Steve, is following up on issues to make sure everything the way things are supposed to be.

The process of buying a new home is very daunting. I would suggest talking to other other people first to get some insight. Not all home buying experiences are the same. Make sure your finances are in order because, you will be required to offer up a lot fo information. I also, suggest reading the home buyer 101 guide you can find online. Make sure your builder stays engaged with you. I think the most important thing to do is read and ask questions. I have to admit I did feel rushed going to the studio. That is one of the things that I hated about this experience. I hate to be rushed especially when it comes to my money. It's not not just a house it's your home. Don't let anyone rush you or try to tell you what you want. I can't really complain because, I had a great realtor. So, my experience was not as bad as I've heard other people say it is. It was a great investment

Be careful when purchasing in this community. Many of our issues that were blue taped before closing went ignored and are still getting “fixed” 3+ months later. Lack of communication from building manager and lack of quality control. This is not our first home, nor our first KB Home, but the quality and craftsmanship has gone down. Disappointed for sure.

The house itself is beautiful and located in a great area. The quality of workmanship is decent, though the contractors sometimes leave much to be desired. Overall, we are grateful for the finished product and have enjoyed living here. However, after some time, we've noticed that certain shortcuts were taken during construction. It's important to be aware that while you'll get good value for your money, the building process tends to move quickly, and some corners may be cut by the builders.

It was pretty seamless for the most part. At a certain point in time, my on-site sales rep had been moved and there was no follow-up or redirect to a different rep who was still at the community. We kind of struggled on that aspect for a little as our only point of contact became either our Loan Officer , Tammy, who Was AMAZING, or Tony our project manager. Some questions felt like they needed to be directed to someone not even stationed at the property site any longer, and also having that sales rep presence would have helped with applying follow up to requests or inquiries made to the construction team and creating a sense of urgency to a necessary degree. In that sense there was a shortcoming from KB to not facilitate that process more seamlessly. Also, my cousin got a house down the street and was welcomed with a blanket and KB home box of other goods, we did not get so much care. Could really care less about that- however it goes back to the principle of the issue of not providing that same level of customer service and relations that we initially received and expected through out. As far as quality, every aspect has a human touch so nothing could really be perfect, however it did bother us that our studs, walls, and trusses were all framed after really heavy rain and thus made all boards muddy. The house is very nice. But the work done at the end is a little bad.

The 30 day warranty isn’t that great

I’m happy to my new home…. But when I came and check little by little I saw some of mistake they made… at first I try to inform them and they respond, after for a long time wait it only 2 visit… they don’t even update me and reply to my message I even take picture that need to fix… I know there are busy but atleast reply me if they gonna do it or not!.. I’m also a customer that spend money to my house. I’m sad I know for them that’s little things, but for me I’m so dissatisfied because that little things supposed to be fix at the first place! It’s funny that little things they don’t pay attention in a first place, so I’m wondering since I’m new and really dont know about need to check to a new build house, I didn’t notice right away all the mistake they made! I wish I have enough time to stay so I have time to check what else need to address. They even forget some of there stuff in my garage, even the things need to re order.. still in here— no update when they gonna order to replace it, I message the Guy who incharge but no reply! Well maybe because they already close the deal that’s why.. so they don’t bother to update me even care to reply to all of my concern.. PS i will never message that guy! I’m so disappointed ... More

Sales, construction manager and warranty rep were only good thing/helpful ones about our home buying experience.

The loan team made it easy always keeping me updated on the status and any information I need. The build quality is good, not perfect but good happy with our new home.

Although Abraham was in finance he made sure to get us in touch with the appropriate personnel to meet our needs.

Belinda was very receptive and helpful during the buying and closing process Scoot was very helpful in the move in and when we needed any repairs and touch ups

I would say our experience was up and down as first-time home buyers. I do think the process was interesting. You need a lot of patience as it took us almost a year to build. I do think that they would have clear contact information once you move and the communication could be a little better also who you need to contact for what since you have a warrant on the house?

This has been a rollercoaster ride! I think what I will take from this whole experience is COMMUNICATE! & Make sure your sales rep is around after you sign the papers/contract because he disappeared like David Copperfield-

Nice experience but difficult to get help with warranties

It was a long process from beginning to end, but nothing longer than what they quoted us in the beginning. Everyone in the process made themselves available for any questions we had and even after we moved in. My loan officer, Brian was great and took the time to explain everything to me. Lori was also super fast with responses and answers to questions.

Sales representative was very helpful and knowledgeable about the process and keeping homeowner up to date. Construction manager did a good job in returning phone call and update next steps in construction process. Overall skill levels of builders are questionable, it seems like construction workers do care about the quality of their work. Must jobs where never completed to the satisfaction of completion.

Overall, we are happy with our home but we have had a difficult time getting paint for touchups. We went to Sherwin Williams where the paint contractor gets his paint but were told that it’s only available in a 5 gallon can. We tried getting some from the paint contractor but he never showed up as promised.

New home buying experience was not bad, kept us pretty up to date. Minor issues after move in that are still being addressed. Getting those issues fixed is taking awhile. Home is nice but can tell some stuff was built in a rush

The timely response is a little slow.

I've had a KB home before and was completely happy with it. This new home is beautiful and happy to be in it, although there are a few minor fixes that need to take place. I insisted on closing even though these fixes were incomplete. Still waiting on completion of these minor issues. Some electrical, paint work, etc. One very frustrating issue is trying to reach our HOA. I've called them several times, no one has ever called me back. I do not even know if I cam calling the correct HOA.

They never promised me a closing date and suddenly wanted to close when I wasn't ready and were going to charge me a fee of $100 per day. that got waived because of my complaint and the construction manager couldn't get it ready.

Overall a great experience and the most bang for the buck.
