Was not happy with the craftsmanship put out by contractors. Sub par at best

prepare to be very patience!

Honestly right now it isn’t going well.. I asked for a brand new house which I got thanks to you guys and we love it!! But the issue right now is the house got done about a month ago and were having bugs issues and there’s nothing really going on to fix the issue. My wife has been waiting for a phone call back since Monday and nothing has happened. A little disappointed.

no pride in workmanship and cheap materials

This was our first time purchasing a home and to say it was stressful would be an understatement. Nevertheless, the team here at KB had our back especially the builder Jeff.

Jeff, Daniel , Paula and Belinda turned a frustrating buy into a very good buy due to there professionalism and caring attitude towardsour needs. They completely saved the day when they took over our loan. I"ve never had anything but good things to say about these four individuals.

Thomas was great to work with and very responsive to our needs and concerns Others should know that build time did not meet times that were promised

Make sure you view construction carefully. A lot of issues still with house. Some areas are not even. It’s been a month and still trying to fix issues.

Communication with sales rep was difficult. Due to shortage and winter storm pushed back move in dates. Great Experience with everyone else, on the KB team. We love our home

Marcell, our salesman was nice in person but at times not very responsive and seemed to lack knowledge of products and building procedures. He was also rude to our agent a couple times. Once we finished that part of the process working with Joey was a far better experience. He was super responsive and went put of his way to help us and explain anything that needed to be explained. He was flexible with scheduling and didn't mknd going the extra mile.

Hire a third party inspector. AC unit behind master bedroom, is noisy (classic 1675).Toilet water level is very low. Openings in parts of the fence, pets can get out of the yard. Light switches throughout the home are at different levels.

KB needs to improve pre contracting briefs for perspective clients concerning the loan process (impacts because of fannie mae and freddie mac requirements). Sub contractors neee to take their time and build a quality product, clean up job sites and no alcohol should be permitted on job sites. Our home had many flaws that required correction prior to closing.

I like my home and most of the process was good. However, when an issue arose, that KB had not disclosed to me in a timely manner, it was made clear that I was not as important as their bottom line and that "Business was Business" per Jerrod in Management. It was 3 weeks before I was due to close. I think Jerrod would have been happy if I just walked away. It left a really bad impression and undermined all of the good things and good people that work for KB. Kudos to Darin, Sarah, and Tom. They were great. Amanda in closing was slow to respond which made doing a cash deal really difficult. I've been in my home 2 months now. I am still waiting on some "blue tape" items identified at final walk through to be completed. ... More

Price, options, and the builder Adrian was the best part of the process, we didn't have to chase him for answers, dates, etc. and he even helped reach out on our behalf for the closing date and time since the seller and the loan officer were not responding and assisted changing those times when the original times were not approved or even discussed with us. Hope y'all keep Adrian and give him a raise for sure. The loan officer, seller, and closing were all a pain. Loan officer and seller never reached out and we had to chase them for any answers we needed for months, it got so bad I rather just contact Adrian (the builder) and have him help me with any questions I had about anything than chase the other 2. At the closing they told us it would take an hour but due to our papers being incorrect (names and address on multiple papers) we had to stay for 3+ hours. ... More

This a great house overall but comes with a lot of issues low quality materials and some really bad details from construction contractors !! Once I start looking around everything I find a lot of ugly things I have being fixing myself since I don’t trust them at all !!

Requires thorough inspection for construction defects.

Kudos to: Ms. Whitaker, Mr. Jackson, Mr. Willis and Sandra (Alamo Title). It was a long build to completion and I felt like I really had to push the last month or so to get a confirmed completion date. Once moved in, there were multi issues with asthetics. Paying more than $300,000 for a home ($700,000 in 30-yrs) I felt like the craftsmanship should have been closer to perfect. We had painters out several times for doors/trim, had our counter tops buffed (scratches/devits), one mirror was scrattched, cracked base boards replaced, etc......

The overall experience was bumpy… we started the process oct 2021 and didn’t close until Dec 2022. Which, in that period of time had no contact with anyone to update on the status of the home process. And, the closing date was moved multiple time. It took me driving by the house everyday from the time the slab was started until it was basically close to completion. Then I started getting updates that weren’t updates, they were pictures from old work. I dove by and walked through the house everyday getting my own updates and seeing progress. The process of getting the loan finalized and necessary paper work done was a breeze, Kim was fantastic. Up to the days getting closer to closing, I feel like a lot of work on the house was getting rushed and quality was going down keeping us from closing in time. Our construction manager was awesome! He did a great job trying to keep everything under control. Closing went smooth, we were told that they would do a one month follow up and come through and touch up paint and fix stuff that needed addressed, that never happened. Fast forward to Jan 23, we developed a water leak in the kitchen above the sink on the ceiling. Called warranty and they were on it. ... More

KB financial services need improvements! They need to work on their communication with the customers! It should be a clear path how they work together.

Unfortunately we purchased this house at the end of 2021 during an intense real estate market. Meaning, we paid an excessive amount for a house that would have been 100k or even 150k less a couple of years ago. You’d hope that with the insane cost of this house that work would be done well. We have so many workmanship issues. It’s hard to blame KB for all of it because we do understand it’s hard to find good trades. But geez it’s been one headache after another. The construction manager has been very responsive so it’s nothing against him. However our older home never had these issues of shoddy work. It’s been stressful! ... More
