Pleased with my experience with KB homes

There were a few minor things which weee identified when I did the final walk through which needed attention. I was promised that everything would be made right. I can see now that promise was only good until I completed the homeboy survey sent out. Tony had made sure get a few things fixed before the survey got to me. However, since the survey was submitted, all other things on the list have been quickly forgotten about. As a result, my front door leaked water during a recent heavy storm because the weather stripping was not correctly installed on the front or back doors. Had I not been home at the time of the storm, my entire living room would have been flooded. Please note, part of the carpet did in fact get soaked and I had a huge amount of water to mop up at the entry. I notified Tony about this and he stated that the previous installed of the weather stripping was no longer being used by KB, but he has yet to send anyone to correct this problem. I was also promised a set of blinds for the master bathtub window. The company who was supposed to install them has not delivered yet. There was paint drops on the kitchen cabinets and no one has come to clean them or the sticky glue on the vinyl flooring. I see now that my mistake was in completing the big survey they hounded me about shortly after I closed. If that was all it took for my home’s problems to be ignored so quickly it makes me wonder what will happen if I ever need to file a warrant claim. I don’t like to be constantly calling to make complaints and it should not require such rude behavior to get things made right. It’s don’t know it Tony will even see this review, but this is my last chance to voice my concerns and at least get a message out to other buyers do not be quick to submit your home buyer survey if you have anything thing which was not completed or don’t incorrectly during the construction of your home. Josh made the loan side of buying a house a breeze! He checked in on us weekly and was always ensuring all of our questions were answered. He even continued to check in on us well after moving in. We have been waiting on a few final touch ups for the house and Josh even reached out recently and offered to help see to those getting done.

Mortgage team was extremely diligent and worked with me to get everything I needed. Project manager was also great. Sales team added unnecessary pressure when I was in the middle of selling my other property but I am very happy with my new house.

Overall experience is good. Definitely will be buying again.

This was my first time buying a house and there were great moments and not so great moments. Adrian, the construction manager was AWESOME and Exceptionally thorough!! His work ethic is top tier! Overall, communication and clarity about what to expect and the process, specifically the closing process, could improve.

We had a good experience with KB. It was a learning experience as we had never built or bought a home previously. Everyone we dealt with was very responsive to our questions and answered in a timely manner

We could have been provided a lot more detail about the buying process and what actions were expected of us and your company. In the end, it all worked out for the better and we're very happy about our purchase. As with anything, there were serious glitches throughout the buying procedure and final purchase. Some of those glitches caused extra expenditures by us and delayed closing, considerably. We weren't happy when that happened and, at some times, wished we could cancel the purchase completely. But, we didn't do that and we completed the process and feel it was the right thing to do.

All departments were responsive to my questions and concerns. Love the finished product

The design choices available are awesome. The whole process from start to finish was well thought out. The KB team delivered, especially Marvin and Jeff. I love this house.

It took time to finished the house. (Signed the contract April 2022 and closed June 30, 2023). I was told that someone will come or call to follow up 30 days after I occupied the property. So far nobody showed up and got no phone call. I emailed the warranty services but got no response yet. Overall though I like KB homes, you can personalize your own design along with their own design team.

Communication is lacking in my opinion. Lots of last minute things causing more stress. Construction did a great job and communication was good with them. They were on top of getting repairs scheduled timely. Getting the home move in ready inside and out was not completed to my satisfaction. It could have been mowed and cleaned up better.

Our sales manager and building manager were the best and most reliable understanding helpful out of everyone. They seemed to actually care about us as people not just trying to make a sale or be done. They continued to check on us days and weeks after moving in, we’re responsive to questions or recommendations and friendly at every turn.

I recently had the experience of building a home with KB Home, and overall, I was very happy with the process. I had a overall pleasant experience with KB

I was able to see the whole process of kb building my home. They even let me choose the lot I wanted. I'm a disabled veteran and I was able to use my GI bill to make this home purchase, and it was actually easy to do. I didn't have to compete with other home buyer for my home. Thank you kb homes for making it possible overall I'm satisfied with my new home. You guys also gave my kids a nice back yard and patio, l love that so much it a perfect spot for grilling and relaxing.

We were very excited about purchasing our new home, and we were told it would take about 9 months, it turned out that it took about 13 months. We were informed as the months and weeks leading up to closing. We defiantly love our new home and can't wait to make it our own.

I really enjoyed being able to pick out special finishes with my KB Home. The design studio experience is what sold me on the process. The build process was long but that is understandable when you want things done right. I think the overall product for the cost is a good value, especially for first-time homeowners. I would recommend KB Homes to new homebuyers looking for great value- However, don't expect too high-end of finishes within the home. We wish the carpenters would have been more concerned with the quality of the frames around the doors and baseboards. However, we appreciate the responsiveness of Alvaro to take care of things after we have closed on the house. The real gold star goes to Jared with KBHS Loans for seeing us through the finish line with our home loan process- we had a horrible loan officer for about 6 months and then got transferred to Jared and he made the process much more enjoyable and stress free. ... The build was a slow process understandably due to environmental restrictions (COVID). The studio options process was smooth, with the designer's assistance. During the build process, issues were identified but corrected slowly. The quality of workmanship up to the drywall process was great. As the finer details came into install, things started to slip. Tile staining edges were not stained but painted over; floor planks had uneven cuts and pencil marking are left at the corner cuts. Caulking joints were left until after closing. Besides all the finer details on the house, it's a great looking house, and we really enjoy the floor plan/elevation. Great customization options for your home! The construction crew are great and very responsive and helpful. Just wish we would have started new build before rate hikes. Very pleased with our new home. It was a long process with ups and downs but glad we proceeded.
