All was good before signing the house agreement but after that we were all lost no one reached out to see what is pending with house touch up works. We are really sad about it I hope they can improve the following with new home buyer at least till first month

The loan process was scary at the end not knowing what was needed to close until the last minute and it pushed me back on close dates because of not being told I would need bank transfer for closing! 4 days after moving in I had a jacuzzi jet break and caused water to run through my roof into downstairs causing roof repairs carpet, tile, trimming etc to be replaced already. Cole the project coordinator very helpful and fast at replacing everything but the workers have been leaving jobs about 90% finished causing me to keep asking for workers to come back and finish things they missed instead ...

PROS: The home seems fine and we're happy to be moved in. Most everyone was nice that we worked with. CONS: The building process was exhausting and painful. We were originally told it would be 6mo from initial contract, which turned into 1 year and 2mo. A lot of headache and frustration could have been avoided if there was good communication and expectation management. Unfortunately, last minute communication and delays led to mistrust and frustration. We had to extend our lease twice due to continued building delays and misestimated completion dates. A lot of amenities weren't fully adjusted. Some doorknobs have become loose and needed to be screwed back in, there are a lot of minor things that still have not been completed yet, like missing paint, broken cabinets, and response time to fixing these issues has been slow.

The home buying process in the beginning was straight forward. There were some delays during the build phase and communication could have been better. We have been in the house for 3 months and we’re finding signs of port craftsmanship. Trying to get things fixed can be frustrating.

I enjoyed my home buying experience. Our sales representative was very attentive. I have voiced that the workmanship needs to be better. A multiple cosmetic and other issues have surfaced after closing on home. I would recommend hiring an outside inspector. Also, if you don’t rate the construction team a 10/10 after the closing survey, they call you and belittle your survey response.

In general, the experience with you has been relatively regular. I think it could improve if you pay more attention to the reports that are made to the construction personnel, since they do not resolve the damage reported in a suitable time. The quality control of the people who make the house is bad since they have to do the same repair more than twice. There is no website where I can make my damage report and I only depend on the construction superintendent answering my call and scheduling my repair within two three weeks.

Within the first month we had issues with the down stairs bathroom toilet clogging. We also had water coming/flooding from the upstairs shower through the walls down stairs. I was assured there was no damage, however, I don't know how this can be known if no one went in to look. I worry about mold developing in the future. Also there was a busted sprinkler pipe in the yard which flooded the yard and inflated my water bill. There are a handful of other things

1 Low Voc paint is tacky months later on all the flat surfaces and I am going to have to do something else to fix that as it's already ruined 2 Plastic plumbing parts that are already breaking 3 Yard was not leveled when filled and before sod was put down so it is tacky looking and uneven. The studio selection was all a money grab. I kept being told how I wasn't spending enough money, and I should spend more. We chose to add a gas line to our home. When we started looking at gas stoves for possible upgrades in studio, we were taken to the Lowes website. KB was trying to charge us roughly $200 more for the same stove that large hardware stores sale. Not only would I have to pay more than if I purchased directly from that store but KB would keep the electric stove that was built into the home price and not give me credits for it. Sales and design ppl were great. However, construction manager T was not on top of ensuring house was built to standard. Many times he ensured me home was ready for my inspector, though it wasn't ( utilities off, major fixes needed, etc.) I had to put off closing many times cause of this. When I did close their were still issues needing repair. Building manager rushed me to sign ppwk so I could close, ensuring me the items would be fixed that same day. They weren't. If you decide to build with KB do not under any circumstances move in until EVERYTHING is complete, no matter how tiny. Give yourself some wiggle room before you have to be out of your current home and into your new home so issues can be taken care of before you close. Please compare the workmanship of other home builders with whomever you decide to build with.

Home buying is not an easy process. There’s always issues. The main problem I had was that communication with the loan officer was absolutely terrible. It took days to get a response, but then I was called several times and rushed to submit items. I had two different loan officers, one was great (I believe his name was Josh) and the other is the one I had issues with. My main loan officer, Dais, would call me at the end of the business day and even if I called back 2 minutes after missing her call, I would get no response until end of business day the next day. Overall we had to jump through hurdles to get the home. It has been almost two months and we still have not had all the things fixed in our house after living here for almost two months. According to the city, they have not paid their fees and finished the paperwork so we still do not have our certificate of occupancy meaning we can’t get trash cans, and I can’t put utilities in my name. Craftsmanship in the overall build is subpar. I regret not going with another builder and lender. I fell for the low interest rates which at 6.5% still isn’t that great.
