The subfloor on the second floor is completely loose, whenever you walk on some spots you can feel it moving and making noise cracking. When we moved in, we have bees right above our front porch, 2 months pass they still trying to figure out how to remove them. Small details they are fast to fix, but some more complicated problems they take time. Poor job on details. Food materials

I bought the home while still living in California which was a challenge but luckily I had friends in San Antonio that filled in for me on some important dates the first was the walkthrough on my new home my friends drove an hour to meet with the employees from KB homes they pointed out a few things and we're assured that they would be corrected. On the second and final walkthrough my friends again drove an hour to meet with KB homes employees some of the things that they had pointed out during the first walkthrough were corrected others were not like the refrigerator door was dinged up scratched and was unacceptable they were told it was on order another thing that wasn't taking care of was the painting that was noticeable in the entryway of the home they were assured it would be taken care of another thing that was not corrected was the water pressure was still very low they we're told that it was the way it is because of the rain type shower head that was installed in the home. I moved in a week later my friends met me here at the house because they had my keys garage door opener etc and they pointed out the things that were needed to be corrected and hadn't been the next day I met with Juan the project manager who came to my home and I pointed out the things that should have been taken care of prior to my arrival he told me that it wasn't him that met with my friends it was his employee who I can't remember his name my friends told me that it was one and the other guy that they met with the second time I was told then that the refrigerator doors were on back order and that they would be arriving soon it's been 2 weeks and the second door just arrived when I looked at the packing slip it said that they were not ordered until April 13th which was after I got here there's still spots that need to be retouched with paint and I keep getting promises that someone will show no one has taken care of it since. I'm a little disheartened at the response that I'm getting from Juan who apparently is the project manager of these things I've also pointed out a few other things to one that are unacceptable and I keep getting another promise I just hope that these things will be taken care of before the warranty expires. I just noticed and reported to one that there's condensation in the study windows and he assured me that it was still under warranty and would make note of it. I understand that with new homes little things like this come up but I'm not getting the response from KB homes that I should be in my opinion. I don't want excuses I want action and they seem to have failed on that level. I also appreciate someone taking responsibility instead of blaming someone else again I just hope that this is all taken care of soon as I'm settling into my new home it'd be nice to not have to worry about warranty expiration dates and response from a project manager. ... Waited 37 years to buy my first house with my wife. With the quality of the house, wish I could have went with another builder, somewhere else who has high quality builds. We bought the home 2 months ago and kind of regret going with KB. Quality is definitely not a priority. The house was obviously rushed by workers who just want to get the job done as fast as possible. Not a craftsman home and it all shows.

Always be proactive with every move of the building process. If we did not point out things it would not be fixed until it was too late. Gary was a great project Manger once he took over towards the end of our building. This was very stressful and just could but surrender trust with KB because of all the issues with the first PM. Things were not disclosed fully until we noticed things.

After a 16 month build process, I closed with a list of items needing completion by the construction team. While we had progress with some, we are at a standstill with other basic tasks. After involvement of local leaders through escalating the matter, it is clear that my concerns are not a priority for them.

There was a rush to get the closing done without completing all repairs found during the inspection. As a result several are still not repaired 1 month later including a non-working kitchen sink drain which was plugged with construction debris. Does not appear to be an priority placed on getting the repairs since the house has been closed on

We got our house eventually for a reasonable price and many things are decent. But to be a little more critical, that's what people want, right? A lot of the processes weren't working out for them whether it's financial aspect, construction, communication (with delays regarding covid material shortage and "labor shortage"), the quality of work, etc.

As a first time homebuyer, I was looking forward to the experience but was a bit disappointed with the overall experience. For the most part, the initial process was fine, however, after deciding to utilize another lender the process seemed to deteriorate. The closing date changed a few times and seemed rushed and pressured while the house was nowhere near ready. After closing and signing the closing documents, it was days before I received the keys as utilized a different lender (not KB). I am making the house into a home, but there are some things, mainly cosmetic, that should have been taken care of beforehand. The home has the potential to be great, but for right now, I can say that it is good. The sales team was amazing. The floor plan is awesome. I just feel that the "small stuff" was rushed and overlooked by whoever was to inspect it during the process.

Lack of communication, delays, poor quality control

Visit the home site on a regular bases, the builder will try to get away with the craftsmanship. At the end the cosmetics will hide major problems. Point out every single issue as you see it and take pictures. And don't sign for the house unless you are completely satisfied with everything you chose to be installed.

So much rework needs to be done the house feel like a rebuild or flip rather than new.

Quadruple check your brick when it gets delivered, colors do not match studio. Double check all electrical. We had a plug that wasn’t even wired. Double check with your local paint store for the paint first. Our whole house is painted with paint they do not produce anymore. Therefore to fix a scratch. I have to paint the whole wall. Color can be matched. But paints are vastly different. Takes longer than they say it’ll take. Just add a few months. If they say June. Expect august/September. We were pushed back 3 months from our original date.

After the purchase of my home was completed, the issues that were remaining to be resolved have still not been resolved fully and it’s been 3 1/2 months. I can’t get anybody to respond to my messages even though they told me they will stay connected with me for six months and that they won’t forget me just because the purchase is completed. I have learned that that is not true

KB has really nice designs and locations to pick ,however lack of workmanship and people with good customer service skills are needed to be improved by KB home

Issues still pending that were identified on the final walk. Contractors care very little for the material that is new, they drag cabinets, scratch countertops, force dry wall when curries not fit installed crack bath tub, chalking bad work, home dirty, no pressure wash of garage and sidewalk and driveway. My opinion house over priced for the workmanship. No pride in the work they do. Just waiting to see who calls to text and make right. Good Luck right?

Poor superintendent. Lied numerous times about things that would be fixed only to see they never were. I felt like I was being yes’d the whole time so I would stop asking question. Cole is a huge violator of this as well

Make sure the home is 100% complete before you move in because it can take weeks before they address the issues that the house may have. Some of the closets did not have rods to hang our clothes and the first day we moved in the central had a leak and was not cooling the house and etc.

Sales Team is amazing...the Mortgage Team is amazing.

The Tx loan compared to NY was very frustrating and it took over 5 or more months before they denied me a loan and I had to start all over with a different company kept me anxiety extremely high for the whole tome

What an horrible experience for a first time home owner. They were very rude and unprofessional with me just because I got my own lender. The construction superintendent did treat me good and did try making me feel comfortable as much as he can.

Ok experience, would like more help and transparency in the process and what happens after closing.

For two years I worked hard to move out of the apartment I was living in with the intent to purchase a home here in Texas. I was excited and couldn’t wait for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow which was my new home. I had issues with loan officers, I was TOLD the date I was expected to close with no consideration of my time and work schedule, made promises that were not kept and overall disappointment with the whole experience.
