Since the very beginning at every stage of the process, I’ve communicated any errors or complaints immediately. After any complaints and talking to different associates in different departments, there was always a sense that things would be addressed, however that was never the case. Either things get passed down to different departments or people in charge, but things were never done. The overall construction of the home was very sloppy, tons of mistakes in just about every step. Lots of very obvious mistakes that were just looked past. When finalizing the home purchase, many things were still pending and we had many complaints from the construction of the home itself, delays and even the whole loan process with KB. I spoke with the customer director Don and we advised of all the issues within the home and with the customer experience. We left with a positive hopeful conversation that things would be corrected and rectified, because he was very understanding that our complaints were validated. However, at this point it has been about 5 months since then and only one of the smaller issues has been addressed. Nothing has been rectified. At this point I am very disappointed and would think that a company such as KB would do so much more for their customers and would not want to leave this type of experience for their customers. It seems as though there is no responsibility within the company to make sure things are being done. Someone needs to hold each department accountable to make sure things that are promised to be done actually get done and the customer is not left hanging for over a year. The sales man was horrible, the title company and closing was horrible. The window washers came and told me they didn't finish and said they'd be back, they haven't come back. I've requested about 3 times now when they're coming back, still not back. After 3 week review I was told the painters would be back, they're still not back also.

It has been more than two months since closing, and instead of doing the things we would like to in and on our home, we spend our weekends taking care of workmanship issues. In the last two weekends, we removed and repaired drawer glides in the last cabinet installed in our master bath, and yesterday fought off an ant invasion because there are gaps 1" wide between the siding and the foundation. There's no telling what we're going to find next, so we have set our expectations to zero. We're also redoubling our efforts to find what workmanship issues remain, but it will probably take an entire year to find them all. We have collected a lot of notes, e-mails, and photos, and once we do find all we can in this first year, we intend to write a report we to send to every name we can find at KB Homes about our own unique home-buying experience. ... Don’t buy from kB! It’s been a nightmare since we got here.workmanship is terrible and repairs are slow and sloppy! Don’t Buy from Kb!

Will not recommend kb homes

A lot of talk of doing the right thing not not much really being done. Still not finish with stuff promised would be done before closing and more issue keep being found and things falling part.

Bad construction and repair time.

Several delays in contract preparation, had to be redrafted due to several errors, issues in design studio where designers were unaware of all upgrade options, build time was over three months later than initially promised, moved in with a laundry list of contingencies that have STILL not yet been addressed after living here over 60 days. My 39 day inspection even came in after 45 days. Will not build with KB ever again.

the hired workers don't really care because they can't keep up.

Very disappointed in my home buying experience. I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone. Disgusting how they treat their customers.

From start to finish I was very disappointed in the process. The sales person didn’t make an effort in anyway to guide me or give me any information on options. The entire plan was to get me to close ASAP and I had to put a lot of effort to get them to finish my house as promised. I had closed and two months later received my keys because the NEW HOUSE needed to have some items repaired. I still didn’t get my garage door opener at that time. I felt like I was dealing with used car sales staff! Use caution when buying a NEW HOME from this builder.

Given misinformation from the beginning. I chose my lot based on being told the last 15’ of my yard was a setback, not an easement. That was not true. Everything only got worse from there. I was supposed to close in November 2021, I didn’t close until June 2022. My lot set empty and untouched until nearly November, then it was thrown up in 4months. Because they didn’t have the house ready when it was originally set to close, my interest rate went up 3.25%. I was nearly priced out of my home. So they rushed to close me, because if they didn’t, I would have lost the house I had been showing my kids would be their new home for the last 15months. The quality of workmanship was poor. Screws are already popping out of the drywall, door frames aren’t painted, crooked studs on my frame that makes my walls look like they are bowed and wavy, driveway has clumps on concrete, porch stairs are crooked and has holes in them. When I closed on my home, the punch list had about 30items on it that should have been done prior to closing, but I was reassured that they would all be addressed within the first couple of weeks living there. I’ve lived there 6weeks. 3.5 things from that list have been resolved. Everything else is still sitting there. I get reassured every week that the items will be corrected that week, but weeks come and go, I rearrange work schedules to be there, but no one shows or nothing gets done. In addition to the $500/m I have to pay for increased interest rates, every time I have to change my schedule to accommodate these “repairs”, it cost me time and money. I keep hearing “I understand your frustration”, but THEIR understanding doesn’t make up for a fraction of the amount of money it has and will cost me over the life of my loan because they are incompetent at their jobs and do not hold themselves or tradesmen accountable. I only wish I could do my job as poorly as KB has and still collect my paycheck. This entire experience has sucked any joy out of the home buying process. If I could go back in time and make a different decision, I would not have bought this home. Because when I chose to buy a KB Home 15 months ago, I had other options. Now, I don’t. But I will never buy a KB Home again and I am telling everyone I know to not buy one either. I really hope that wherever the breakdown in skill/communication/accountability/integrity is resolved because no one deserves the experience that I had with KB. And according to the conversations I’ve had with my neighbors, everybody at Woodside Farms has had the same or even WORSE experience. ... More

IN SHORT, I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND KB AS A BUILDER. POOR QUALITY OVERALL IN EVERY AREA.

Your interior painting is very badly

Our house seemed rushed and not complete. We paid lots for an incomplete house. Cole was helping us get everything taken care of, then they let him go leaving us with people that did not take customer service as seriously as he did. Now that Cole is back, which we are sooooo relieved by, hopefully things will get corrected for us. Our original salesman Scott has been awesome as well. Cole and Scott were the only ones that cared about us.
