Craftsmanship, damaged cabinets, caulking, damaged drywall, damaged wall trim, unfinished garage was agreed on but the drywall was damaged. Planks on the brand new fence were popping off the rails. I spent time and money repairing items in the a brand new house I paid over 330 thousand for. I didnt expect this from a brand new home, maybe I expected more. We are going on 2 months in the house and I cant tell you how many work orders were put in for repairs on top of the work I put in. I also had the sprinkler system break and now I have a 2000 dollar water bill KB is trying to deal with. ...

Very disappointed in the sub contractors. Especially the tile/flooring company. Also the painters. We moved in 1-1/2 months ago and we are still waiting on issues to be fixed

Sales and design ppl were great. However, construction manager T was not on top of ensuring house was built to standard. Many times he ensured me home was ready for my inspector, though it wasn't ( utilities off, major fixes needed, etc.) I had to put off closing many times cause of this. When I did close their were still issues needing repair. Building manager rushed me to sign ppwk so I could close, ensuring me the items would be fixed that same day. They weren't. It took almost a month for all things to get fixed, with me having to take many days off from work. Moral of the story, ...

If you decide to build with KB do not under any circumstances move in until EVERYTHING is complete, no matter how tiny. Give yourself some wiggle room before you have to be out of your current home and into your new home so issues can be taken care of before you close. Please compare the workmanship of other home builders with whomever you decide to build with.

Home buying is not an easy process. There’s always issues. The main problem I had was that communication with the loan officer was absolutely terrible. It took days to get a response, but then I was called several times and rushed to submit items. I had two different loan officers, one was great (I believe his name was Josh) and the other is the one I had issues with. My main loan officer, Dais, would call me at the end of the business day and even if I called back 2 minutes after missing her call, I would get no response until end of business day the next day. Overall we had to jump through hurdles to get the home. It has been almost two months and we still have not had all the things fixed in our house after living here for almost two months. According to the city, they have not paid their fees and finished the paperwork so we still do not have our certificate of occupancy meaning we can’t get trash cans, and I can’t put utilities in my name. Craftsmanship in the overall build is subpar. I regret not going with another builder and lender. I fell for the low interest rates which at 6.5% still isn’t that great. Take too long to fix the problem

The subfloor on the second floor is completely loose, whenever you walk on some spots you can feel it moving and making noise cracking. When we moved in, we have bees right above our front porch, 2 months pass they still trying to figure out how to remove them. Small details they are fast to fix, but some more complicated problems they take time. Poor job on details. Food materials

I bought the home while still living in California which was a challenge but luckily I had friends in San Antonio that filled in for me on some important dates the first was the walkthrough on my new home my friends drove an hour to meet with the employees from KB homes they pointed out a few things and we're assured that they would be corrected. Waited 37 years to buy my first house with my wife. With the quality of the house, wish I could have went with another builder, somewhere else who has high quality builds. We bought the home 2 months ago and kind of regret going with KB. Quality is definitely not a priority. The house was obviously rushed by workers who just want to get the job done as fast as possible. Not a craftsman home and it all shows.

Always be proactive with every move of the building process. If we did not point out things it would not be fixed until it was too late. Gary was a great project Manger once he took over towards the end of our building. This was very stressful and just could but surrender trust with KB because of all the issues with the first PM. Things were not disclosed fully until we noticed things.

After a 16 month build process, I closed with a list of items needing completion by the construction team. While we had progress with some, we are at a standstill with other basic tasks. After involvement of local leaders through escalating the matter, it is clear that my concerns are not a priority for them.

There was a rush to get the closing done without completing all repairs found during the inspection. As a result several are still not repaired 1 month later including a non-working kitchen sink drain which was plugged with construction debris. Does not appear to be an priority placed on getting the repairs since the house has been closed on

We got our house eventually for a reasonable price and many things are decent. But to be a little more critical, that's what people want, right? A lot of the processes weren't working out for them whether it's financial aspect, construction, communication (with delays regarding covid material shortage and "labor shortage"), the quality of work, etc.

As a first time homebuyer, I was looking forward to the experience but was a bit disappointed with the overall experience. For the most part, the initial process was fine, however, after deciding to utilize another lender the process seemed to deteriorate. The closing date changed a few times and seemed rushed and pressured while the house was nowhere near ready. I am making the house into a home, but there are some things, mainly cosmetic, that should have been taken care of beforehand. The home has the potential to be great, but for right now, I can say that it is good. The sales team was amazing. The floor plan is awesome. I just feel that the "small stuff" was rushed and overlooked by whoever was to inspect it during the process.
