Visit the home site on a regular bases, the builder will try to get away with the craftsmanship. At the end the cosmetics will hide major problems. Point out every single issue as you see it and take pictures. And don't sign for the house unless you are completely satisfied with everything you chose to be installed.

Quadruple check your brick when it gets delivered, colors do not match studio. Double check all electrical. We had a plug that wasn’t even wired. Double check with your local paint store for the paint first. Our whole house is painted with paint they do not produce anymore. Therefore to fix a scratch. I have to paint the whole wall. Color can be matched. But paints are vastly different. Takes longer than they say it’ll take. Just add a few months. If they say June. Expect august/September. We were pushed back 3 months from our original date.

After the purchase of my home was completed, the issues that were remaining to be resolved have still not been resolved fully and it’s been 3 1/2 months. I can’t get anybody to respond to my messages even though they told me they will stay connected with me for six months and that they won’t forget me just because the purchase is completed. I have learned that that is not true

Our first home-buying experience was ok in the end, but not this 2nd time. We had a flooring issue the first time that was resolved before we closed. Through that experience we feel that the rating system is off in our opinion. We gave a 9/10 due to the problems with the floor, but had the construction manager at our door pleading it be changed to a 10. We thought 9/10 was pretty darn good considering the flooring headache. Otherwise, that first experience was ok. Now we move on to this next experience. It has become a nightmare. The home is way way way more expensive than our first KB home, ...

Their painters all need to go. None of them apparently will use painter's tape, and no straight lines are painted. Horrible paint job that we have to settle for. We have lived in the house close to 2 months. Now they say there needs to be an appraisal where they come in a take pictures of the inside of my home. I am completely uncomfortable with this.

House is nice and construction seems good in general, but 1 month after I purchased it, the Zillow estimate for my home dropped over 10% !!! The estimate first agreed with the purchase price and the appraisal also agreed. How could it devalue 10% in 1 month unless it wasn't worth the purchase price to start with. Buyers Beware of the valuation at the start or you will feel scammed too, like I do. KB Homes installs vents for circulation from each bedroom to a adjacent common area in the house. These vents in each of 3 bedrooms are directly opposite each other, creating an open window effect. ...

The sales office was great, the design studio was great, the construction manager was great at first but then. I don't even want to get into how terrible my process was and the lack of attention to detail and lack respect as a customer paying nearly 300K for a house and someone blowing off my concerns and acting so nonchalant about things towards the end. Issues still pending that were identified on the final walk. Contractors care very little for the material that is new, they drag cabinets, scratch countertops, force dry wall when curries not fit installed crack bath tub, chalking bad work, home dirty, no pressure wash of garage and sidewalk and driveway. My opinion house over priced for the workmanship. No pride in the work they do. Just waiting to see who calls to text and make right. Good Luck right?

Make sure the home is 100% complete before you move in because it can take weeks before they address the issues that the house may have. Some of the closets did not have rods to hang our clothes and the first day we moved in the central had a leak and was not cooling the house and etc.

I will start with our original sales consultant. She was terrible and promised so many things for veterans. And at the last minute she backed ( M. Maher) out and gave it to another consultant. I was impressed with KB product but not the representation from the get go. KB really needs to get more in tuned with how sales reps are most likely causing potential customers to walk away. For two years I worked hard to move out of the apartment I was living in with the intent to purchase a home here in Texas. I was excited and couldn’t wait for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow which was my new home. My family bought our house sight unseen as we were moving to San Antonio and wanted a house upon arrival. We knew we wanted to go with KB but didn't have time to build custom so had to wait for one to become available. It was a race to lock one down and we finally got one. The home buying process was seamless, Jerry and Rueben are awesome. My customer service rep is very responsive in getting things done. Check every little nook and cranny of your home and do site visits if possible. My home was not cleaned before moving in so I had paint speckles all throughout the home, handprints were everywhere in the flooring which took some scrubbing because it didn't come up with just a mop. Since the start, purchasing my home from KB, was not a good experience. The day of closing turned out to be a week of closing. Now that I’ve moved into the house, doors were not hung properly, the carpet was not tacked down correctly, it lifts from most of the corners in big sections. The living/ dining rooms tiles were not installed correctly. The tiles were uneven. I’ve been sitting in a construction site for a week and it looks like it’ll be longer. Unfortunately we have had quite a few issues with our home, leaking master bath, cracked concrete on driveway, paint on door fixtures, plaster on patio and drive way out front.
