Contractor was good and made closing easier

The buying experience has been terrible. The loan office staff was fantastic. However, I would not consider anything else good. The workmanship was terrible and the materials are beyond cheap. Repairs take forever to get done, if they get done at all, and are often done incorrectly again. Responses from the pm were slow or didn’t occur unless we called people higher up or from other departments. They literally stuffed paper towels into the crevices between the mortar and siding and then put the sealant over it in hopes we wouldn’t notice, which we have pictures of. That is a huge fire hazard and most definitely not up to code. There were multiple other issues and we will absolutely never buy from them again or recommend them to anyone else. ... More

From the beginning to the end, I had no complaints. Everyone involved in this process was always available to answer questions or concerns. Everything went smoothly. I couldn't have asked for anything more! Great job KB Home!

From our initial meeting with our salesperson, Don, to the Design Studio rep, to the Construction Superintendents, Gary and Mike, to the closing with Alamo Title, it was an enjoyable and exciting journey. We are so pleased with the personal attention and quality of workmanship.

Everything was great and awesome

The house itself is beautiful and located in a great area. The quality of workmanship is decent, though the contractors sometimes leave much to be desired. Overall, we are grateful for the finished product and have enjoyed living here. However, after some time, we've noticed that certain shortcuts were taken during construction. It's important to be aware that while you'll get good value for your money, the building process tends to move quickly, and some corners may be cut by the builders.

I would like to highlight the following staff to express my heartfelt appreciation for the excellent service they provided to me during my recent purchase of my new home. Their dedication and commitment to ensuring customer satisfaction were truly remarkable and I wanted to thank them for their outstanding work. For their attention detail and willingness to go above and beyond to help me were exceptional! It was pretty seamless for the most part. At a certain point in time, my on-site sales rep had been moved and there was no follow-up or redirect to a different rep who was still at the community. We kind of struggled on that aspect for a little as our only point of contact became either our Loan Officer , Tammy, who Was AMAZING, or Tony our project manager. Some questions felt like they needed to be directed to someone not even stationed at the property site any longer, and also having that sales rep presence would have helped with applying follow up to requests or inquiries made to the construction team and creating a sense of urgency to a necessary degree. In that sense there was a shortcoming from KB to not facilitate that process more seamlessly. Also, my cousin got a house down the street and was welcomed with a blanket and KB home box of other goods, we did not get so much care. Could really care less about that- however it goes back to the principle of the issue of not providing that same level of customer service and relations that we initially received and expected through out. As far as quality, every aspect has a human touch so nothing could really be perfect, however it did bother us that our studs, walls, and trusses were all framed after really heavy rain and thus made all boards muddy. Something we still see on exposed members in the garage and in the attic as well. ... More

My experience with KB Home was pleasant with the builders the Realtor, the whole KB team was great. The experience was done in a timely manner and responses were done quickly. I would definitely recommend KB to my family and friends.

Overall things are great. We have ran into some issues but Mr. Paul has been there to take care of them for us right away! From the back door lock screw coming out and going missing, to the plumbing issue we had. He did not hesitate to respond to our texts and get us taken care of in our new home. Overall he has been 1000% awesome and very helpful in our crisis moments.

Diane, KB Sales Rep, was 100% consistent in communication, setting expectations, follow up and overall helpfulness. Paul, our Construction Manager, the same, answering all questions and consistently updating us during the construction period. After move in, their follow ups on satisfaction has also been great!

KB Homes was a great new build home experience. Easy to work with, lots of personalized options. They aren't your typical cookie cutter homes. Everyone in the neighborhood has a different design! It's great!

The KB crew makes sure you are in the know every step of the way. Getting constant texts, emails, calls with updates on how things are going with a very accurate timeline was very helpful and gave me the piece of mind through my first custom home build.

Buying this home is absolutely the biggest regret I have because it’s been nothing but constant headaches since the day I did my inspection. I was told when to schedule a third party inspection and both times the construction team was not prepared for it. I was told by the project manager that my expectations were to high and no house would ever be perfect, and I needed to have realistic expectations when trying to get the crooked wall, chunks of missing cabinets, and exposed nails fixed. I was told several times this is above model standard, yet I have no ability to do laundry, water sitting in walls growing mold, broken window, and it’s taken weeks to get a solution. My realtor was gaslit and ignored when addressing concerns before I showed up after closing and was told she couldn’t address the issues. I’ll never buy another KB home and I won’t recommend anyone I care about to either. I’ve had more issues in the brand new home than I ever did in a rental property. ... More
