Rough Home Buying Experience

The home buying experience was not what I thought it should've been. I was underwhelmed by the whole process. The only solid experience was with the timeliness with showing of houses and response time from anything I needed with Lennar Sales Rep. Otherwise, the Lennar Mortgage team needs to be reviewed as well as Lennar Construction team. Lennar Mortgage and Escrow Title did not give my refund back in a timely matter and did not give it back in the method I noted from the start. Lennar moved up our completion date by a month but forgot to notify us until we followed up to ask them. When we arrived for the walk-through, we were stunned and dismayed by the amount of work that was not yet done or done incorrectly. They installed the wrong granite countertops and then ripped up our counters to replace them. They pressured us to close on time but didn't deliver our dishwasher until a week after closing. The construction manager actually installed a used model to trick us into closing on time, then lied to us and told us the supplier had sent the wrong model by ...

From the minute I signed a contract with Lennar it was a nightmare. The loan process was one of the worst experiences of my life. For someone having perfect credit and another house paid off and no debt they asked a million questions about my finances (having nothing to do with my loan). Then waited until the day of my walk through to let me know I was approved, talk about inconsiderate and stressful. Had I known I was going to go through what I did I would not have bought a Lennar home.

Deliberate misleading builders intentions inorder to complete buyers purchase.

Would not hold property for buyer without non-refundable $16,000.00 down payment. Misleading expectations for completion date and reasons for delays. Lowering exact model price by $20,000.00 after 6 months delay for closing escrow allowing NO-DELAY move in for new buyers.

I bought 3 homes myself and helped lennar sell 2 more gomes with zero recognition or appreciation from Lennar. Additionally quality of Lennar has deteriorated drastically its a shame and no response on fixing the issues I am definitely not coming back infact will pass on this feedback to my investors friends and group

Extremely Disappointing! Our move in experience couldn't have gone much worse.

The majority of the items we found on our walk through were not taken care of. One of the biggest problems was the block wall was left incomplete. The first 4 or 5 blocks and the very last block were installed and about 30 in between were missing. They fed us a few lies about why it wasn't finished but we were told they were not going to complete it and could just forfeit our $5,000 deposit and not take possession. Super smooth transaction until you get the keys to your house and then the nightmare begins

We actually had a nice smooth transaction with the Lennar Lenders and everything was going great up until we closed. The day of closing we noticed that water from the master bath shower would leak out the front from where you enter into the shower. Our Construction manager who did the walkthrough with us made a note of this and shared a text with us who he made to someone to help us out. We were told we would need to go through the warranty department now.
