Buying a Lennar home was way different than my other experience with home buying. It was fast, and wasn’t too bad in hindsight. Everything has been a little unreal when I think about it! I’m glad I chose Lennar for my new home and I appreciate their attention to detail an customer service!

The purchasing experience was good and up to standards, however I feel like the home falls short. Several problems with the trades that were hired to build the house. We had several problems with the breaker tripping, stove wasn’t connected to electricity properly, roofer is not a company the builder uses. Builder contacted a company in Denver that just hires whoever to do the roof, so when information was needed on the roof for insurance purposes, no one was able to be contacted about it. I love the layout of the house, the physical lot, but as far as construction, I wouldn’t buy another ...

TERRIBLE SALES EXPERIENCE- TOO MANY LIES

Had a terrible sales experience. OUr sales person lied to us over and over again. The build quality is average. There were several bowed walls throughout the house. There was little attention to detail. Get an inspection PRIOR to closing . We were missing roof tiles and joists.

Last day of my possession date, I was informed to paid a debt that was affecting the closing . They moved the posseisi date and I paid fees / extra cost of moving over the dates. Sad, before it seems no one was worry about me, just trying to sell the place .

Everyone part of this company knows the issues, but intentionally cover them until the deposit was made, leading to a few (big) surprises: Solar panels: The pre-installed solar panels, which are part of the advertisement, come at an additional cost and were not disclosed until minutes before giving the deposit. Furthermore, the capacity of the solar panels is not even half of what is needed for a house of this size. Highly recommend being involved throughout the build, any corner to be cut will be cut by builder. Shady operation with lowest quality materials, paint, cabinets, flooring etc. Expect to be stone walled. Highly recommend hiring an inspector before closing. They will not let you on the roof to inspect roofing until after closing and this is a no drone zone. Overall our experience was pretty good. I wish there was more flexibility in what we were allowed to choose for our house. It would've saved us some double work. For example, painting the house, we had it repainted immediately after closing as they wouldn't let us choose a color.

This review is meant to be a level-headed review for future potential buyers. I will say that the sales staff is amazing and very attentative! I have no issues with the sales team at all. My issue is based on the craftsmanship and the warranty department. CRAFTSMANSHIP: Okay so the structural is good and solid. They use 2x6 boards and did a good job. The purchasing of the home went relatively smooth. The home itself is what we expected as far as quality goes. We were a little disappointed that they were not flexible at all on anything we wanted to change no matter how minor it was. We were very happy dealing with Devon during Construction, but the warranty has been very nonresponsive and get no call backs. Who knows when things will get fixed.

We went with Lennar thinking everything would be smooth and it turned out a little complicated from the beginning. Had to transfer our contract 3 different times and when we found the home we wanted we ran into some issues with some windows, AC unit, cabinets, concrete. When we ask for these things to get fixed it takes forever for a response.

I could not be more discusted with the entire process. NEVER use Lennar Mortgage, they only complicated the lending process and make it harder. The construction is definitely subpar, 3 electrical issues that are 100% the same but they can't seem to solve the problem any longer then temporary, paint on the walls could but have been applied any thinner, door knobs and strike plates coming off after 2 months, cracked concrete driveway before we moved in and The stupidity of the construction manager looks at me and says there's no problem. Having problems with incomplete exterior painting. The interior painting was okay except for massive over spray onto the appliances from painting the cabinets. The sink was chipped and was to be replaced or fixed-that was never done. The sprinkler system is confusing and hard to check if it is working. The first wind storm the shingles are flying off the roof. The refrigerator that came with the house has a box cutter gash down the handle two big scratches on the left side on the right side. It doesn’t make ice and it sounds like it’s a car parked outside of my house all night. Lenar says they are not responsible and Frigidaire says they’re not responsible. The house came with ring security system. All of it installed upside down on every door. The window coverings put up very poorly. Someone can see in my bathroom window easily. The garage door has a dent and it does not lock.Sad

Krista was amazing at selling us what seemed like our dream home. The showing process made the homes at Lennar Johnstown Farms look amazing. Come time to move in and we had issues with title, with mortgage and with the construction of the house. Tolerating everything up to getting the keys was easy to do because we had excitement for what was to come. We made it to the house where things that needed to be fixed, were not. The buying process (excluding financing thru Lennar Finance) was smooth. I come from a residential construction background so I understand the challenges and tolerable "acceptance". The biggest disappointment was the cleanliness of the home at turnover. The garage and basement were absolutely filthy. It looked like a rough clean. The basement was powerwashed, but it looked like they turned on the power washer for about 30 seconds and then shut it off. The main finished space had paint and drywall dust around every single corner of the house as if the cleaners made no attempt.

This is our 2nd Lennar new home. We bought our first one in North Carolina and the quality, responsiveness to issues and workmanship was excellent. Thus, moving to Colorado we decided to go with Lennar again. Starting with our closing walk through (late by 45 minutes painting and caulking) to today, 3 months later.
