The home is very nice and well built. The warranty team is excellent. Great value for price. But don’t fool yourself into thinking these are custom homes. They are for the most part builders grade and built for cost efficiency. It is obvious the few areas where the bottom line was considered more than the homeowners comfort and convenience. Don’t get me wrong, I love my home, but would have done a few things differently had more options been available.

The overall buying process was average. Since we bought we were not told there is no mail delivery here which is a horrible experience. It was a known problem to Lennar and no one said a word to us. The lot next to us is covered in trash. The trash from construction workers is constantly in my yard. The Ring video hasn’t worked right since we moved in and has yet to be replaced.

We were assured by the sales person, Carlos, that applying to put in a standard fence like everyone else has in the neighborhood would be a quick and easy process and it’s been anything but that. In two days, it will mark the 30 day mark. We were told it would take one week to 30 days and they have waited until the evening of the 28th day to kick our application back to us and tell us they need more information about something that was not even on the application nor is it in the covenants. Since we’ve bought our Lennar home, we’ve seen good, bad & terrible reviews from other Lennar buyers. The home seems sound, but there are small issues we’ve had to address since we moved in almost 2 months ago. I would recommend a home inspection before buying. We did & even though our home had been newly built, there were several things we required to be taken care before we closed. The appliances that come with the home are subpar. If you have the chance to upgrade your appliances, do so! Overall, we are happy with our Lennar home.

For the price paid for a brand new home it was lacking. There were a number of quality issues such as lag bolts in garage door not in. Kitchen cupboard cracked underneath. Outside light boxes are too deep, modified by owner to get light up. Dishwasher is cheapest model. No city trash cans available, and no place to put outside. No attic ladder available. Trees to close to house. Should have had less sprinkler heads, watering bushes overkill. NOT WIRED WITH COAX CABLE SATELLITE IMPOSSIBLE WITHOUT DRILLING. Roped into using neighborhood internet it's too slow for square footage. ...

Lenar absolutely shocked us with closing costs higher than for resale properties. The amount of fees was incredible - even our realtor was shocked. Ended up paying over 8K extra for the house. They played a nice trick by including our initial deposit into the estimated closing cost and 'offset' the hidden increase.

It's been a nightmare for the first 3 mos so far. As you spend time at the house you see more and more mistakes and lousy craftsmanship, from doors mishung, over screwed hinges, misroutered strike plates, bulges and divots in the plaster and Sheetrock over bulging framing. The absolute cheapest , but good looking kitchen and bathroom cabinets-glued and pinned together but with bad finishes on doors and pins sticking straight out of the drawer boxes and glue just floating about the boxes. You Don't Get What You Pay For

The buying experience wasn't bad with Lennar. Communications was good. But I have to say the quality of work done on these homes is not good. Cheap materials and shoddy craftsmanship. They are thrown up as quickly as possible. For the first time home buyer, you can't beat the mortgage deals they are offering but if you can afford better, go elsewhere.

Not quite sure that Lennar build quality homes; I’ve been here 3 months in my new home and have a lot of issues with home still needing repairs that should have been done before moving in. Very disappointed in the builder!!!

Our sales experience started great. Grace and Steve were very attentive. After that first day, it was like everyone except Steve and Priscilla forgot who we were. We had to beg for updates, and when we didn't get them, demand updates by putting everyone on emails, calling repeatedly, etc. We repeatedly asked for information on our close and were ignored. Our new home consultant (Liz l)was great and communicated well with us and also helped us with some personal matters as we acclimated to FL. The process of purchasing a home site unseen(we moved from MN and couldn’t make it here) was nerve wracking. The process they had set in place to purchase, in retrospect, is absurd and in the best interest of Lennar. It’s essentially a bidding war and you automatically put in your highest and best offer, however, you could potentially only be bidding against no one (only Lennar knows). Very frustrating trying to settle and move in to a new “finished” home. We expected delays due to supply issues however upon settlement, major construction should have been completed. Racks were not installed. Bathroom fans not installed. Painting not finished. When touch up painting was attempted the colors did not match. This resulted in all of our rooms needing to be repainted after our furnishings were moved in. There was no final cleaning so we are still chipping grout off the tile floors. Build quality of the home is fine, and dealing with the local Lennar employees is very good and they work very hard to make it a good experience. Policies directed down from corporate are based on what is best for corporate and for the experience of the home buyer.

The selling agent, lacked experience , Kept changes the deal. Negotiating with texting and should stuck with email so I have a track of any changes. Thanks to the manager Penny who was able to take over and close the deal.

I am a 100% Disabled Combat Veteran with certain health issues. Everything was going great with the whole process home buying process, until after the closing. That's when it all fell apart. I wanted to fence in the very small backyard and have pavers put down before my family moved in. I have mobility issues when walking through grass so the pavers were the perfect choice. every warranty contractor that enters my home tells me you’re company only sells junk air should have know better but the interest rates motivated me to buy a crappy house you cut corners on everything i got what i paid for but never again will i buy a lennar house sales and the loan process was very unprofessional

Quality of the build is much worse than a few years ago; pressured into closing even when home had many unfinished or damaged parts such as no mirrors/ shelves and broken windows and cabinets. After closing, very hard to get a timely response on warranty request to fix the problems. Would not buy another Lennar home again
