Electrical issues. Air unit does not cool the upper level well. Hard to plug into the outlet. Paint used is flat except for the wet areas. They should of given an option.

Bought a home with Lennar at the end of March. Closing was moved up--I appreciate that. However, lots of little dents and scratches that were promised to be fixed after closing never occurred. I followed up time and time again and never heard back. I gave up and paid about $1500 to fix these items on my own. Note that the homes are built by teams of independent contractors--Lennar does not have their own teams building them. Workmanship can vary. Knowing what I know now, I would not close until all issues fixed.

Despite purchasing the townhome in pre-sale after it was delivered to me, Lennar offered larger houses at lower prices.

I'd like a Lennar representative to call me and discuss some of the issues in my new home. It is not fair to deliver a finished product product like my house. Thank you.

What was supposed to be the house of my dreams has been filled with problems and average workmanship. The house was finished three months early, this should have been my first sign. Small details like the exterior and interior paint, carpentry, and the crumbling of my garage top the list. I requested a delay in closing due to surgery but no one responded. Then on the day of the closing, two hours prior, we were informed that Lennar postponed the closing due to an issue with the loan officer.

As a realtor in another state, I was surprised with the quality of Lennar here in Tampa. We expected much more than what we received. Comparing the quality and finishing of new homes in Houston and Orlando, the quality and attention to details here are far away from the standard of Lennar in those areas. New in town, we decided to give it a try to Lennar instead of DR Horton (our previous home was DR Horton) and wasn't impressed at all. House is spacious and comfortable with great layout, but the quality of materials and finishing are cheap. Attention to details and finishing of the house is poor. House was turned to us in a need of a deep cleaning, windows still with paint and concrete dust, floors with grout and paint stain, carpets with paint, ceiling fans poor installed, door frames missing caulking on the top of the doors, location of the towel rack over the sinks instead of near the bathtubs. During the inspection (that was a pain to coordinate) we pointed out the stain and roughness of the main porch and garage and the response was that it was a rough area. Garage was fixed but front porch not. That's the main entrance of the house!!!! We were so excited to close on our new home! Until we walked in the door. The house wasn’t cleaned, drywall dust everywhere. The stove was sitting in the middle of the kitchen, the dishwasher or the disposal were not plugged in. So you know they weren’t tested to see if they worked. There was a huge dent in the top of the dryer that we saw a week before, but wasn’t replaced. There was 2 pages with pictures of problems we notice on the first walkthrough that still weren’t addressed on our closing day. We did not want to close because of the issues, but were told if we didn’t, who knew how long it would take before we could close. Now don’t get me wrong, they did fix all the issues in a timely manner, but the excitement was deflated. After all the problems were fixed, we really love our house now. The mortgage process with Lennar mortgage was very easy and efficient. The actual process after moving in became a nightmare for us dealing with customer service and quality of workmanship. If you sign off on issues that you notice on your walk thru before your closing, you will most likely encounter all sorts of problems trying to get things repaired. Most of our issues have since been resolved after numerous complaints being sent to Lennar.

Closing was scheduled by Lennar before all work completed. The front door was painted while we have final walkthrough on the date of closing. Many substandard jobs was done in a rush. The construction manager and customer care team were very responsible and took care of many left over jobs.

Home was not ready for closing , because there were so many things wrong! The most serious was the upstairs bedroom floor was ready to crash through. This was because it was not inspected as they had stated. The downstairs ceiling was cracking too! Appliance were damaged and dirty! Damaged windows installed! Sloppy workmanship and many other issues. Not a great experience! I can’t believe they would risk people lives like that!

The financial and closing experiences were far below our expectations. The walk thru was done the week before closing and only a few of the issues were resolved before we moved in.

Unfortunately this time around, buying lennar was not a legendary experience. Lots of delays, cancel inspection without prior notifications, final closing postponed x3-4 times. Too many Customer care representatives and no one up front to attend the customer concerns.. Do want to thank Mrs Oliveira from title/closing for her professionalism and Mr Mike McCarthy for his attention to detail.

Lennars sales personnel is great. Unfortunately that's where it ends. It must be the material and labor shortage because the workmanship leaves a lot to be desired we have been in this house for nearly two months now and are still waiting for the work to be completed.(front door and frame along with all the closet doors and cabinets has to be replaced inside the house has to be repainted)I hope this is not the Lennars MO if it is I believe your reputation will suffer

The experience was not good and that’s being kind. The mortgage person had no idea what was going on. The setup of the first 3 homes upon moving in left use not knowing who any of the utilities where going to be we had to figure it out ourselves. 2 month later we where able to get internet but are still waiting for mailbox’s. And the craftsmanship shows that everything was just slapped together as fast as possible and getting someone to fix the issues was a waste of time I have done most of what I asked to be done myself. And the house was filthy for buying a brand new home.

Hello. I would equate my buying experience with Lennar to be average. Closing was delayed multiple times due to obvious supply chain issues. Communication was above average but the attention to detail in the construction of my home was lacking. Cleanliness was a problem and Multiple punch list issues were recorded AFTER my closing with no clear direction on how they would be addressed. I am not local so email or phone calls are critical in understanding issues going on with our home purchase. Setting up utilities took some figuring out. Would be nice to have a welcome aboard packet for new home buyers to outline everything we need to be aware of when purchasing with Lennar and ChampionsGate gate community. ... More

Be aware of the Move in Ready line. our house was not clean, the yard is 2 different types of sod, there were plumbing and electrical issues with the house that took 30 days to get corrected. I feel the corporation was in a rush to close and overlooked many quality issues. We will not buy another Lennar Home.

The buying experience was great but I have lots of issues with the construction side..

You will need lots of patience. They eventually to address the needs but not everything will be complete on closing and if you don't close when they set the date, you will be charged $300 fee for everyday not closing. You have to stay on top of all issues with them, however the staff is very nice and due to the supply issues in this economy it can be a nightmare.

Lennar needs to follow up on punch list and do in a timely matter ,the house had a lots of unfinished touch ups .lennar needs to a better final walk thru before customer takes home.

The whole process is very rushed and there is very little power given to the buyer at the end of the day. Although we had checkins and inspections, there was still no ability to see some of the issues that we needed to have addressed until after we moved in. Our representative has been terrific in getting theses addressed after the fact, but these issues should not have been present in the first place. 3 in particular are quite frustrating. 1 despite addressing concerns when we noticed these spots while reviewing videos during construction checkins, there are several large areas where a leveling material was added to our floors on the second level where the builder never checked to ensure the the floors were level so now there are several dips and bumps that will require pretty intensive work to repair after the fact. 2 electrical code was not followed while running our A/C wire in our walls from our condensor, resulting in a wire being nicked while hanging a picture despite all of the proper precautions being taken. The wire is just hanging in the wall, not attached to a stud, was run through a hole drilled through a beam and no metal protective plate was added. All three of those things are electrical code violations. 3 our A/C unit was leaking freeon badly due to poor workmanship when installed resulting in damage to several mechanical items from manhandling of the equipment that which required several visits to repair in brand new equipment. It also looks and feels like the carpenters never heard of a level or a T-square. In our particular development, there is a lot of issues with Lennar’s decisions to enter contracts that cost the homeowners significant fees but provide little to no benefits particularly around the management and security companies that they hired to run those services for our HOA. They also sold the community as a premium community and then slapped a rental community that operates under different rules right in the middle of it. We share amenities that we need to pay for with these vacation renters that do not and they run rampant in the community because they do not gave the same repercussions as the owner communities for violating rules. There are also little to no rules placed on the rental properties so they do not maintain the same neighborhood standards. All the while the owners HOA’s help to fund the profits of these rental properties. There is also insufficient security provided by both the company Lennar hired to run the gates and patrols and the equipment ( or lack there of ) provided. I feel like this houses should be perfect when people move in to the house that cost them so much money. Little things that could have taken more time to make perfect for the home owner.
