Process needs to more transparent and streamlined. Too many surprises. Too many financial manipulations. ie. listening price $178k. Corner lot add 5k. Final cost 183k. 17k builder contribution after adding 17k to the final price. I just got a headache trying to to wrap my mind around this process. There is shortage of housing. Homes will sell at a good profit for the builder without resorting to marketing/gymnastic acrobatics. Straight forward 1+1=2 will go a long way of creating healthy communities that all Lennar organizations will be proud of. What do I know!

Purchasing a home for $660k I would expect the home to at least be ready and for the workmanship to be perfect. There was a lot of things that were done incorrectly and I had to get corrected after closing as well as things that look half finished with little effort done to it. Again not what I expected after spending so much money on a home and with the caliber name of Lennar.

If looking for quality construction, look elsewhere. They’re attentive until your house is done, good luck after that. HOA at Florida Properties is absolute worst.

Too many issues upon delivery of the home. Good bones but finishing touches and appliances are subpar. The response from some members of the customer care team is timely. The service to correct the issues can, at times, take a few days.

The initial process with paperwork is very chaotic. Every Department has different portals and it does not seem that the communication between Departments is fluid. Cassandra was AMAZING but it seems that others handling our account may have been new. I can appreciate a learning process but when time is critical, the mortgage process can not be a learning process when time is of the essence. The buying process was smooth, Lennar was involved in every aspect of the buying process, including getting a Mortgage and the closing. From that part I am happy on how everything worked out. In regards to the house, we were told a date when we would be able to walk the property to see if everything was in good shape. They said that we could bring a home inspector so we hired one for the date Lennar told us. A few days before the inspection Lennar told us the date was postponed 1 day so our home inspector couldn't come with us as he could not accommodate that last minute change. We then ...

Although construction was completed in a rapid pace, the final build was not of the highest quality or workmanship. Even the little details were missed, for example, light switches were not wired correctly, lights were not centered, etc. Standard building code items were not included, like rain gutters. Landscaping was very poorly put in.

Before closing your property Lennar will definitely take good care of you, they'll answer all your phone calls, they will fix everything for you and they'll support you with great customer service. BUT ONCE YOU CLOSE the experience is totally NEGATIVE. Nobody will answer your phone calls, they will disappear and not worry about post customer service. Once you close your property with Lennar you are on your own. They only take care of you before closing. The workmanship and attention to detail is subpar to say the least. Drywall 2-3” short of the floor, hidden by the base boards/warped plywood underneath the carpet/everything painted over from the floor to returns to windows and doorknobs. Little to no insulation in the attic after being sworn to that it met standards. I could go on but you get the point. Pretty embarrassing to turnover a home like that.

We were excited to purchase our townhome and to get in on the first offering. We had a positive experience with our salesman and patiently waited several months as the finish date was delayed over and over again. Lennar’s fiscal year ends end of November. While we were on Thanksgiving weekend with our family, we were told that our CO was approved Thanksgiving day. (Nov28). Lennar’s sales manager forced us to close remotely Saturday the 30th. I am disappointed in Lennar’s overall service. My experience from start to finish was not the best or the smoothest. I think that a company as big as Lennar should provide a better overall home buying experience to their clients.

These people do not care about the buyer. They don’t care about your needs, they will treat you beyond very 4/10 or 5/10 and they do not care, mostly because their attitude and mindset is that if you don’t buy it someone else will. They took their time for everything and communicated so poorly but when it was time to close on the house or when they needed something they completely chang and rush you and pressure you.
