I went with Lennar because I was under the impression it was a reputable company. The mortgage department is extremely unorganized causing a lot of unnecessary time, work, and stress. At closing, the end of June, there was a list of items still not complete. I was promised the items would be promptly addressed. As of today, 8/23, not one item has been taking care of. Would not recommend Lennar.

This our 3rd time buying a home, 2nd time buying a new build. We had to extend the closing date three times because the home wasnt finished. We did a walk-through before closing and gave a list to the builder of all the things that needed fixing. Some were cosmetic, but some were big deals such as the sofit was missing by the front door, the outside of the house needed to be painted (still gray with stucco), and the some doors didnt have hinges or locks. Nothing was fixed before closing and we were told someone would come during our first week. No one came for almost a month and only took ...

Brand new house with a lot of issues.Severals. Wasting time doing claims to be cover by warranty. Staff don’t perform the right job on the site. Totally disappointed.

3 month delay in closing, sales people throw in our face that they have 2 years to complete per state statutes. Cost us a lot of money for extended stay hotels and storage while they dragged their feet in getting the house built(and NO concessions at all). Wanted a pool home, none were available, with the huge delay, they could have incorporated it in the build. The sales person was always "we can't do that" Very poor customer service. The construction manager was great and the only bright spot in this transaction.

So many issues to fix. They forced me to close on the unit even though it wasn’t ready! Lennar kept my money since November!! The closing took place in February! I still have open tickets that haven’t been resolved. Not happy. Plus I was promised pools, restaurant, gym. Nothing had been built !! No Pool for us to use and it’s summer already. Terrible. Of course we are pushing full Maintenance:

It is obvious that Lennar is rushing to close their units and get the payment as soon as possible. Most condos are released with many deficiencies. At first the builder crew was responsive in attending some major finishing issues but after 3 months since closing they dont even answer calls or reply to messages. Very disappointing

Our overall experience was very disappointing. The contractors did very sloppy work. From the paint droppings all over the floor, to uneven handles on every kitchen cabinet, every outlet and switch cover crooked, broken pavers around pool. Uneven lawn with dead sod, irrigation system not approved by HOA. Uneven seam on granite counter top and the cheapest home appliances they could find. Lennar warranty service has only addressed 25% of our complaints and others work orders have been ignored.

We purchased in late April with being told a September finish//close. We sold our house and figured we would stay in an AirBnb from August until the September close. After relocating, the closing moved then to October, November, December, and then an actual close at the end of January. The contracts are written air tight to not cover any expenses from a “good faith estimate” of closing even when they have actual close dates given to you. I closed on a townhouse on Dec. 30 and there were many problems (interior bifold doors missing, missing bath vanity, missing trim pieces, ants and spiders everywhere, etc) Plus, the overall job was extremely sloppy and unacceptable. I have spent the last two months trying to get the multitude of issues corrected so I can rent out the house. To date I have lost 2 months of rent. I had a guy come over to fix the weather strip on my front door and the door fell off because the two screws he used in each hinge (instead of 5 screws) were only half an inch long. Lazy and did the bare minimum when it came to supervision of subcontractors. It definitely shows in the final product. Quality and schedule both suffered. The quality is a C- at best and the schedule was non existent. Lennars best quality is the community that’s all, as far as a builder the peopl from start to finish do no justice for the brand. We have been given 6 different closing periods. We finally closed after being offered an incentive because you needed to close out their year end books. We still only have a TCO but no CO due to a list of 20 items that need to be fixed: we have no shower in the master, electrical switches that don’t operate anything, half the doors are missing, moldings are missing, it had to be replastered and needs painting, cabinets need to be fixed, tiles are chipped, front door needs to be sealed, plus other issues. We have had several issues like no mirrors or shower enclosures installed until nearly 2 months after settlement, finally got them last week day before Christmas. Still have electrical issues with outside outlets as they click 24/7 unusable, and light switches within the home that are incorrectly wired. Closing delayed three times because house was not ready for occupancy. Punch list items promised were not completed. Still do not have water hook up to refrigerator two months after closing. Poor workmanship and no follow through on quality of work by construction superintendent. Disconnect in communication between sales team and construction team. Given our experience, would not buy another Lennar home.

Not only was my house incomplete, but the work that was done was very poor quality. I was told workers would be back to complete the construction and never showed. My roof leaked and ruined a bedroom the second night I was here. I’m still trying to get repairs a month later. Absolutely horrible experience so far!!!!!

My experience with the builder was not good especially since they want to close before the home is complete and for someone that is a buyer from out of state is hard to check all the details of the final construction and in my home, there are lots of issue like paint, hold in the upstair stair broken or defected doors and for the high price that the home has the material, users is very low quality and the same that is listed on the home model .

From the beginning to well after closing (1 1/2 months now,we received no occupancy permit,but forced to close!) It's been crazy busy with contractors in and out fixing all of the obvious problems that were not addressed, I would never recommend this to anyone, the horror stories are too many and such long stories, I hope this helps someone with their decision.
