The sales guy was not truthful about having the house cleaned and painted before we got there. He told us what we wanted to hear. We had to get the building manager involved. We did not have keys to our new home when we arrived either. It was a bad experience

Initial walk through issues were numerous. Sloppy workmanship in many categories. Very poor exterior paint coverage. Some areas do not have paint on the siding. Paint splatter on floor in many areas. Rain gutter by front entrance leaks and lets water run behind stone work. Sloppy install on sprinkler system. Crooked sprinkler heads in several areas. Garage door opener wiring sloppy installation, has broken wire that will no allow door to close. Exit doors to lanai - dead bolts not aligned will not lock. Main sewer line was damaged by workers that were grading the lot prior to sod being placed. This caused a major stoppage that took a lot of work to locate underground damage before a fix could be attempted. I go on for twenty more items but the fact that the slow response to issues important to me makes this Lennar home not what I expected. ... More

This home was not clean, poor painting everywhere especially the area above the baseboard. This means that semi-gloss was painted above the baseboard in some cases at least 5”. This was noted with both walk throughs, but was not corrected. Paint splatters on sliding doors not cleaned off and the tracks for the sliders were not cleaned. We have NEVER moved into a brand new house that was supposedly cleaned but needed through cleaning, by us, before we moved in. If this is what has happened with the other homes, I would suggest getting new contractors. What’s the deal with the cement lip pulling into the garage, that is an accident waiting to happen. My husband and I recently purchased a new home from Lennar, we were very excited about our new home until move in day. We were told the home would be cleaned prior to move in by the general contractor, that was not done the place was so dirty I had to clean for 3 days before we could even live in it. all the floors and carpet had paint and grout residue all over, cabinets were full of debris from construction and one of the toilets had been used and never flushed. Our thermostat and HAVC system quit working after 5 weeks and when I called Lennar i was told that it was not covered by the warranty because i was not doing my homeowners maintenance on the system, I was never told there was any special maintenance i had to do to the system. I was able to do a virtual warranty request with Lennar today about most of the problems, hopefully things can get resolved now. ... More

We were informed of our closing date. We were moving here from another state . We arrive a week in advance and on our 2nd day we were informed we needed more information to close. More financial info we tried and tried to obtain it but my husband had just retired and his statement wasn’t goi g to be able to be reviewed for approximately 2-3 weeks . 2 days before closing we were told we probably were not going to be able to even though we were led to believe we already had provided everything needed . Why would any company assign a closing date and drag people down and then say well … we need 1 more thing. We were writing letters making calls doing everything we could and stressed out. Our week was ruined we had planned to buy furniture ect and make it an exciting week but nope . So we almost went home early as they told us we would just get another date . Keep in mind it cost us 1600 to come when we came . Flying , rental car , hotel . Anyways long story short they tell us night before around 4 pm we can go to the closing the next morning . Not very smooth . No one was there to represent us as I was told someone should of been . The person who had been working with us over a year wasn’t there and did t even know we closed as I contacted her. No welcome from anyone . This was out 1st new home purchase. We have learned a lot . If you have an issue with anything sometimes they get right on it but other times you have to keep going back to submit issues . I actually like the house but I was exspecting a little more quality finishes . Who uses flat paint on walls as they can’t be washed very well. Oh well would I do it again ? From closing to getting settled in has not been a good experience. On closing day painters were still touching up the paint. The cleaner was at my home mopping and left the floor so wet it looked like the top of a lake. Response to customer care has taken over a month to get items fixed. The appliances are cheap the workmanship in probably a 7 out of 10. Probably would not purchase another Lennar home.

Although i know that with any home there is no such thing as perfect, however, certain attentions to detail are clearly missing here. It definitely feels like quantity over quality. There were many things on our punch list that has still not been fixed. During our walkthroughs things were said they would be done personally by the construction manager that day, and they are still not fixed. We were told our house would be locked up at night before we were able to move in but after we had closed, and the doors were left unlocked. Again told by the construction manager. Right now we are in a battle to get someone to come and fix our irrigation because we have a broken pipe that is just flooding our backyard and can’t seem to get anyone over. My list goes on. Lennar is definitely the place to get a good bang for your buck, but be prepaid for any issues to not be resolved. They’ll tell you X is going to be fixed or is on order, but then X will magically disappear and never be repaired. All of my trees have fallen over and had to be ripped out including having many electrical wiring issues in the home. The floor plans are nice and they do include things like blinds that other builders done include so that is a bonus given the issue I’ve had to deal with

Of the 3 Builders I have purchased a home from in Florida, Lennar rates the best in all ways.

Buying a from Lennar was a challenge. This was our first new purchase and my expectations at the beginning were not met. Once we got our new production manager things went smoother. You need to be diligent about checking in and if you not in the area ask for pictures weekly. Overall it wasn’t terrible but I don’t think I would ever buy a newly built home.

The whole experience has been Terrible! We were supposed to close in August. Finally closed January 17th with a five page punch list. Now March and still trying to get things resolved. Lots of empty promises. Quality of workmanship is horrible. Nobody takes pride in their work and Lennar accepts that. We expected a not more from Lennar when building a $472,000 home. Would not recommend.

Jack our sales rep was not very responsive to our questions and what was going on with house at all. After closing (which was a fiasco) you think we hear from him but no, not a word. We still have broken cabinet in bathroom and door in breakfast nook that was to be fixed never was. Closet door has one handle not painted. Called customer care about spare bathroom shower having a stress fracture and I have yet to hear from our customer representative who is supposed to be taken over claim. I sure would like to have these items addressed. Also it would’ve been nice to warn people who bought house that with the water system your water bill would be over 500. Talked to other neighbors and they warned us and our bill was 700 because we ran the water like we told to do. ... More

The closing process was a disaster. The house was not complete by the closing. I moved in 2 months ago and still trying to get things fixed that were noticed at the walk through prior to close. I have been disappointed at every step of this process.

Home was not ready for closing! Still waiting for items to be addressed 2 month after closing.

New home buyers should make sure everthing is complete before signing the papers. When they do the final walk thru make sure to inspect everything.

Let’s start with the delay in finishing the home because Lennar prioritized homes financed in house, thus causing my interest rate to rise. Then when closing happened the house was no where ready for move in and it was filthy. The dish washer wasn’t even plugged in. We had a crushed sewer pipe, there spots still missing paint almost 2 months later, yard had construction debris in it. The general inattentive attitude and the condescending response from employees, for example the fan in the living room was shaking and squeaking, when we brought this up the electrician he said “well it’s not a Ferrari”. The warranty department is hit or miss, I either get a super attentive assistant or one the takes multiple inquiries to get any movement. I will not be recommending Lennar to anyone that asks. ... First walk-through inside and secund not finished, dishwasher sinse November 30 not install, is January 17, front door entrance no weather strip doesn't lock correctly, bedrooms doors unlevel and 20 more issues. Please come en see.

I was so excited to buy a Lennar home! The process started out alright, but slowly went down-hill. The communication from the salesperson was lacking. The lady in the title office was rude. Then when I had my so called”walk-through” everything got worse. My house was not completed and the work that was done-especially in some areas was so shoddy. Very poor workmanship throughout the home. I’ve been in this “construction zone” for almost two months-Lennar is very slow at trying to make things right. They have fixed/finished some things, but now it feels like I’m being ignored. Even sending emails to company presidents falls on deaf ears. So very sad. This is supposed to be my last home-I’m retired and I can’t enjoy my home because of the poor quality of work that Lennar did and continues to do. Unskilled labors did the work homes really not ready to close...however many of us were between a rock and a hard spot ...had to move in fast too many issues to list but would love for upper management to pay liberty village a visit ...its time for you guys to see first hand its past time to see this sub

I had 2 homes built in OTOTW and 1 by Lannar. As a General8i r, bypass I saw poor workmanship and several months late to finish. The contract that had the sale price did not show about $10,000 extra that was not on that page even though we made no changes. This by far is the poorest quality I have seen. In Williamsburg Virginia Lannar turns out a very nice home, not like these Lannar homes.

We have purchased many homes through out the years. The condition of the home after we closed on it in terms of meeting county code was pathetic. Our water heater was not hooked up to the house so no hot water, there was no insulation in the attic which is another fire code, the wiring of the home was a fire code we found out as we hired our own electrician to fix our home which was 5k later. We have taken pictures of everything. We will be hiring an attorney and also calling the city to make record of their inspector who passed the home when it should not have. Lennar delivered a solid home within the time frame expected. We were very happy with the interior finishes as well as the landscaping. Our construction supervisor, sales representative and the legal/closing team were all terrific with communication throughout the process and after the closing. We have had a couple of minor warranty issues that were taken care of right away. Would definitely purchase another Lennar home if we were to relocate.

I went into the first time homebuilding experience with an open mind and trust that what I was told I was getting in my new home was true. Turns out that some pretty important things that I expected to have in my home were taken away without Lennar telling me. They took both bath tubs out of my house and was told that it is a 55+ community and elderly people don’t want bath tubs…well I’m 60 I’m not elderly and elderly people have grandchildren and dogs to bathe then I come to find out that the models with three bathrooms have at least 1 tub in their house! This was extremely upsetting for me..also was assured that I had arches in my house as well..one day I all of a sudden had NO arches the arches were part of the reason I loved the Princeton model…they also took away access to pendant lights above my island…they lied to me and didn’t bat an eyelash I was told that they have a team of lawyers that will negate any of my complaints that I simply can not win if I pursued any of it. The best part of the entire experience was working with my super Dave he was great from start to finish always available easy to talk to and made sure the rest of the build went smoothly…..I’m still upset about not having a bathtub!! ...
