Community green spaces and amenities never completed and issues take forever to get resolved

We and 50-60 of our neighbors were all promised beautiful finished green spaces and a tot lot when we were in the sales process. Lennar never finished these and apparently has no plan to. Other neighborhoods have beautiful amenities for the same HOA cost we do. Different builders who keep their promises. We will have to hire legal council and go through mitigation for breach of the sales agreement as we were all told the same things and our neighborhood is not up to par. Items take FOREVER to be fixed on my home. We have had 3-4 people who are supposed to fix things. Why so many? Can ...

Missing outside light at street

Went you recive your new key of your new home make 100 percent that everything are done because If you take the key and house it's not ready you lose. They don't want to do the repairs.

Poor Customer Care after Closing for Warranty Issues

Home not completed after closing, slow or non responsive warranty claim. Poor contractors doing substandard workmanship. Promised amenities and recreational areas not completed as promised by sales rep. Materials are OK but workmanship is horrible.

Throughout the entire process we had to keep contacting Lennar for updates. When contractors showed up at our house they rarely knew what to do. The quality of work was not great, paint dabs on the floor etc

2 month to fix all the issues and poor materials

We have been dealing with all type of situations in this house. From poor materials to inefficient service to solve the issues. We have been calling and asking for the issues to be resolved over and over without any success. It’s been 2 month were the house can’t be rented and we are at revenue loss. Without counting the several expenses we have incur since we don’t live in USA.

It was a nightmare from the time construction started

We identified several issues during construction and Lennar was largely non-responsive. We closed with a tear in the carpet of one bedroom. It took 7 weeks for them to correct the issue. Once they finally came to fix it!, It took approximately 2 hours. We had similar experience with other issues.

Had a really bad experience, the sales person lie to us, was misleading and overall the experience was awful. The materials are cheap and the work is fast done, the pain the workmanship is poorly done and fast way done, when you are paying almost a half of million for your home you expect to be done properly, just very disappointed and will not recommend it to anyone not even my worst enemy

The closing was remotely, I was literally enforced to close before the issues in the inspection report were resolved. In addition to the confusion on the home warranty request dates with my other Lennar home, the request for the location of the public utility in in front of my house goes nowhere. I need someone really listen to my request, respond and resolve the issue!

Terrible communication throughout the purchase process. Then they tried to delay our closing 1 day before it was scheduled. Now, 2 months after closing, they refuse to provide any warranty service and just close your tickets without any response. Just a terrible company, if you are looking for a new home, look elsewhere. Run, dont walk, away from Lennar.

I was promised so much more than I ended up getting. It took a year past the date I signed to get my place. It is called a luxury community, but it is far from that the grass is dead. The trees are dead. they promised a pool by summer. It has also got pushed out for another year. Other communities around us have surpassed our build up even with later start dates. They use cheap carpet, cheap drywall, and when you purchase a brand new build, you expect things to work. I have had to call and set up a plethora of appointments to fix things that weren't working or were installed incorrectly. Don't do it! The one good thing is the customer service for fixing the issues is actually really great.

I will never recommend or purchase another home from this company. These people are a joke unresponsive poor workmanship failure to perform repair, show up without materials. I had to remove my own tub and replace it because they failed to do that. Remove my own cracked tile and replace them, I would never recommend you to build a dog kennel for me or do anyone else

We love the layout of the house and the neighborhood. We do regret buying from Lennar. We were outright lied to and were extremely disappointed in the process. There were a few people along the way that were very nice but it appears Lennar employees are trained to make money, not care about people.

My overall buying experience was fine from getting prequalified, to getting my conditional approval, to ensuring all the necessary paperwork was submitted on time. It was pretty straight forward with no issues. Securing the mortgage went well. Now the home itself is where I feel the ball was dropped. Unfortunately, we had lots of issues with our home that we feel could’ve been avoided if we had a good construction manager supervising all its people. We did not have a refrigerator for a month, we had a water damage with a storm for improper window installation, moisture in a closet and many drywal/painting repairs. Not to mention the home was delivered without door handles upstairs, our kitchen and bathroom cabinets were a mess they had to reorder some of them and they are still on schedule to re-do our master bath shower as they did a TERRIBLE job installing it. Our Customer Care representative is combative and her immediate response whenever we need to put a ticket in is “no”. She always gives push back for everything. To the point where we have to send her VIDEOS of things that aren’t working. Her latest rebuttal was that she could only send an electrician out to check why our master bedroom light switches weren’t working IF we uninstalled the fan. I am not paying an electrician to uninstall and then reinstall a fan for Lennar yo do their JOB. Yomaris, the customer care rep is less than helpful. It’s been 2 months since I’ve closed on my house and there’s still a long outstanding list of items that still need to be complete. The only one who responds is the customer service Mgr who has to work with construction Mgr and their contractors who do poor quality work if they show up at all. This has been a nightmare and I’m embarrassed to show my new home to anyone. I can’t enjoy it or do anything to it until certain items remaining are done. Instead of being happy with buying my first home I’m disgusted each day that I look at things not fixed/done.

Do not close on the home until all issues are resolved! Also be aware about the patch jobs they do on driveways as they offer no warranty. We have issues with our driveway that where pointed out prior to closing on both inspections and Lennar now wants to try the same failed patch job again. The builder claims it is up to industry standard, but I have never seen a piece of foam siding imbedded in the concrete be considered industry standard. This is just one of 75 issues identified on the final inspection- the little things they will resolve fast, but the larger issues have large hurdles ...
