Poor workmanship and a ton of issues

The Lennar purchasing experience has been the worst purchasing experience of my life. I have been buying homes, cars and other big purchases for the last 43 years and the Lennar purchasing experience has been the worst. The willingness of Lennar mortgage to ignore signed agreements for locking in the rate and charge a full percentage point over and above the lock-in rate, in addition to penalizing us with more than $3,000 for the higher rate, were just a few of the glaring issues. Having an inspector for the final inspection on the house, working with the only company Lennar would accept ...

The quality of materials and specially the workmanship is way below the minimum standards. If I went back, I would go with another company. Low value for what you pay and I almost feel like getting catfished with this house. The original construction manager and customer manager were rude and refused to address all the issues. If you are in the market for a new build PLEASE look at the reviews on line for Lennar and PLEASE consider other options.

It was only about the sale - this whole house buying experience was horrible. It was all about the sale and nothing more than that. I closed on a house and was told that I had homeowners insurance and was even given a policy just to find out that my insurance was canceled two days after purchasing. To this day no one has taken ownership of what went wrong no one has called to apologize and I only found out when I went to buy new homeowners insurance. That’s not the worst part, Every time a vendor came to fix an issue that should’ve been fixed during construction they damaged something else ...

Horrible workmanship

All my tiles are uneven, I have been waiting months for my grading to be fix. Yesterday a light fixture fell out of the ceiling. The walls are extremely thin I can hear all the pipes when I turn on the water. The house was poorly insulated. The list goes on and on.

I purchased a home that the builder has the option to make the most money for himself and not the home owner. I asked for a veteran home loan and at the end of the day I received a conventional.

Lennar mortgage was a hot mess. Will never use them again. Love my home but the workmanship was not up to what Lennar says their standards are. Horrible trim, drywall and painting. Door going to garage from inside the house installed crooked, light switches are not consistent throughout the house, clogged drains and broken tiles that had to be fixed after closing. They are at your beckon call until closing and then they are too busy to get back to you. It’s more about quality than quality for them. Just a few changes and attention to details could make a huge difference. Very disappointing ...

House was rushed to be finished for builders financial year end and it is very noticeable. Responsiveness to repairs are still not completely resolved after 4 months.

I thought Lennar would have done a better job with my home. I am disappointed that I was directed to see the model home and everything in the model was SUPPOSED to be in my particular upgraded home. Very UPSET with Lennar.

Do not sign contract until all details are discussed and written in the builder's contract. Because all my upgrades were verbally promised to me by Sales Consultant, I believed him and signed contract within 3 hours of viewing the model. FYI, if it is not in writing....IT DID NOT HAPPEN!

Would NEVER buy with Lennar EVER again. House was supposed to undergo several QC reviews before my walkthrough. During my First New Home Orientation there were still huge gashes in drywall, places weren't painted, couldn't even complete the walkthrough because utilities were not on and appliances weren't installed. They apologized, then proceeded to call us back twice to the same conditions. Clearly nobody communicated and was just going through the motions to get home sold by end of their "record" quarter 1Q2021. The day of the closing is when it finally looked like something remotely ...

We upgraded the tiles and cabinets to 42” and they installed the wrong tiles and cabinets without notification, the said that they ran out of the tiles we picked and installed a similar ones without notification also installed the 36” cabinets without notifying me either, they don’t have any communication with customers after they get your Downpayment.
