I was very disappointed in the service. The contact before closing did not listen to anything intolerant him. Half the item we discussed in the walk through never made it to his list. He closed all of them, and never did anything We did have a paint come out, we left, and came back and he was sleeping on our lania.

Lennar responded:
We’re sorry to hear about your recent experience with one of our trade partners. That’s not the level of service we strive to provide. I guess the biggest thing is the only objective is to get the money from your buyer. Afterwards, it’s you are On your own. But, with all the HOA’s, water, gas, electric, etc. buyers could greatly use the benefit of a helping hand. Also, warranties, what we need to do who to call, connectivity issues in the house, all this can be overwhelming!!!

Lennar responded:
Good morning, Henry. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We’re sorry to hear that we fell short of your expectations. Moving forward, we hope to earn back your trust as a homeowner and deliver the experience you deserve. If there are any outstanding warrantable items, please submit a warranty service request through your Lennar account. This allows for proper documentation and helps ensure a prompt and thorough response from our team.

Not A Good Experience

Where do I start? From being misled by the realtor to the poor workmanship in my home, the experience with Lennar has been nothing short of disappointing. The issues didn’t stop at closing—getting warranty work addressed has been a constant battle, with delays, lack of communication, and unresolved problems. I expected better from a national builder, but I’ve learned the hard way. I will never buy another home from Lennar, and I’d strongly caution others to think twice before doing so.

Lennar responded:
Good morning Nicolas. We appreciate your feedback and are sorry to hear about your disappointment. That’s not the experience we strive to provide. If there are any outstanding warrantable issues, please email us at CorporateCustomerCare@Lennar.com with the details and a reference to your review so we can follow up directly.

The entire process with Lennar was very poor. Minimal communication and unresponsive. The best part of the process was communication and follow through with Lennar Mortgage, Ali was outstanding!

Lennar responded:
Good morning Michael,

We’re sorry to hear that your homebuying experience did not meet your expectations. Thank you for your positive comments about Lennar Mortgage, we appreciate you sharing that.

If you have any warrantable items, we encourage you to submit them through your Lennar Account, as this is the most efficient way to reach your local Customer Care team and ensure everything is properly documented for follow-up and tracking. Sincerely, Lennar Corporate Customer Care

Misleading

  • Robert W.

The model being used was the same floorplan, but 180 square feet larger, so visually misleading. Changes were made to the floorplan on the website without notifying buyers. Lennar decided on a massive price reduction several months after we signed the purchase contract, so most neighbors paid substantially less than we did. We were unaware of the price reduction prior to closing in February.

Lennar responded:
Good afternoon Robert,Thank you for sharing your feedback—we’re sorry to hear that your experience didn’t meet expectations. Moving forward, we hope to earn back your trust as a homeowner and deliver the experience you expected. The experience was unacceptable from the start. We were misinformed about multiple important issues by the salesperson. The homeowner orientation was a joke. Noting was explained to us . When we asked about operating the pool we were told I don’t know I’m not a pool guy. We were given no information about how r trash was handled. Essentially nothing was explained to us.

Lennar responded:
Good afternoon Douglas and thank you for sharing your feedback. We are sorry to hear that your homebuying experience did not meet your expectations. Despite promises and numerous requests, only a few photos were taken during construction. The final inspection was a disaster. The sales person was not present at the final inspection, nor was the construction supervisor (we were informed he had several inspections that were scheduled for the same date/time). Lennar is driven solely by the schedule to close to satisfy upper management directives....work is done with the approach of "it's good enough, let's move on to the next unit". The warranty department is presented with a list of items to correct....items that should not have passed ...

First did not fine Arthur trust worthy. Chris the superintendent of the Veranda condos wasn’t to interested in overseeing the initial construction and stated a few times that things would be corrected during the 1 st. Year by filling out repair work orders. I have been in the construction industry and management during my career and have never seen such poor quality . I would sure like to speak with someone as I could offer valued services to Lennar.

Lennar responded:
Good afternoon David,

Thank you for taking the time to share your homebuying experience with us. I’m sorry we fell short in your expectations with the way it was handled. I understand it is not most convenient to have things repaired, but moving forward, if there are any remaining items to be addressed, please log in to your Account and submit a request using the warranty/service request form. You will also be able to follow up on the current status of your request using your Lennar Account.

This was the worst home buying experience I have ever had.

Compared to the model home, Lennar made several cost cutting changes, without alerting the buyer. They cut the quality of the front door, counter tops, closet in the dining area, and bathroom vanity lighting. In their rush to close before the end of the month, there were numerous repairs that needed to be made. It will take months before most of these are addressed. Their quality control is non existent, as their focus is on volume and profits. We bought this house because we liked the layout and view, and that is basically all we got.

Lennar responded:
We appreciate your review and are sorry to hear that the final product in your home fell short of your expectations. I have opened a Corporate Case with your comments and notified upper management to review and assist in addressing your complaint.

Too many defects in too many places.

  • George W.

Two weeks before closing, we walked through and discussed the defects that needed to be addressed. (We also missed several defects). We walked through on closing day and not one single thing on that list was fixed. As for warranty issues it seems that once we are told “that’s normal”, even though it is not normal. That’s it, no recourse.

Lennar responded:
We are sorry to hear about your experience throughout the walkthrough process and after closing on your new home. We understand you may have some issues that need resolving. To ensure the quickest resolution please submit the details using the warranty request form in your Lennar account.

Experience with work completion dates, delayed closing dates to quality of work has been sub par. Our independent realtor has been fantastic and guided us through the entire process based on prior experiences. We are in the warranty period with a number of issues needing to be addressed. The verdict is still out on this process.

We bought a calusa. Multiple construction issues were addressed eventually but if built properly and there had been any quality oversight would never have been present when I purchased the house. Be very careful. There is no oversight on construction and things are rushed and poorly done. I am worried about what I did not find.

We moved in and it wasn’t ready. I kept asking are we still closing end of May, is it done and was told yes and in fact it was not. We have been here since end of May and things still need done. They are getting down slowly. It would have saved a lot of headache for us, if it was done prior to move in. Fortunately, my husband works from home, so he can be here when people come to fix things. We paid almost a quarter of a million dollars for this brand new house and don’t feel we should be going thru this hastle.

Aside from Arthur R., our salesperson, who was wonderful to work with, the rest of the process of acquiring our veranda was not a pleasant experience. Shotty workmanship, rushing to get us closed when the condo was far from being ready, lack of communication, no followup with items needing attention, and more than anything, the mortgage process was so frustrating! even getting the closing paperwork by mail was a problem. Having been in real estate, buying and selling new homes as well as resale properties for more than 35 years, and helping folks with their mortgages, we must say that this ...

Two months after closing the punch list is still 20+ items long. Sometimes a tradie stops by to fix a single blue tape flag but at a rate of 2 "fixes" a week this is going to take a long time to get the home I paid for in February. Nobody feels responsible and the field rep didn't call in the first place.
