Two cabinet doors broke right after we moved in. Kitchen floor toe kicks paint came off. We are still waiting for cabinet company to complete repairs but the closest appointment is in mid November. Disappointed

Happy that we gave moved here, but management does not respond well to facilitate open maintenance issues

While I do not believe my home is a disaster, I do feel there is a culture of doing questionable work for the sake of turning a sale quickly and then returning to resolve the initial lazy and sloppy work. Our builder told us he was in our home quite a lot during the build, but he failed to faithfully audit his teams work. What the SINGLE MOST OFFENSIVE thing he did was cause damage to the doorway the day of our closing and was not responsive to fixing the damage. When he finally sent workmen to repair the doorway, the workmen did a laughably embarrassing job. Lennar customer care and other Lennar management team members were in awe at what they saw. Customer Care associates were the bright note in an otherwise disappointing experience. The pond view behind my home has resembled a landfill and it was me alone that went out and pulled trash and construction materials out of the water. I truly understand the growing pains any new home and community can go through but there is an obvious vibe evident that management here is not on point. I do not feel Lennar cares. ... More

Get everything in writing. Don’t trust your sales person as they are not always told what the corporate decisions are and seem to be the last to know.

I feel like the materials were cheap. Like the paint. It’s horrible. It stains super easy and when you try to clean it up, the whole paint comes off the wall. The washer and dryer are so basic that the washer makes a very loud noise while washing and the dryer leaves all the lint in the clothes. When you put in a ticket for something to be looked at, they take weeks and weeks to respond and then you have to wait again weeks to have someone come out.

While Lennar may be fairly easy to work with to resolve problems, I feel there shouldn't be as many as I've encountered. Unfortunately I bought rather late in this community and it seems as though the builders were in a rush to get done. This shows in some of the sloppy work that was done and things that were caught in the final walkthrough. Some of these weren't corrected before closing and some seem to have fallen off that list altogether. Now I'll have to deal with them under the warranty.

It seems like everything that needs to be fixed was something not covered. They do respond quickly but it’s nothing that they are responsible for

My first home buying experience was far from what I've learned to expect from Lennar. I won't use them again in the future. Buying a house is a big deal and I don't feel I received the level service we deserved.

From the start, salesman lied about what was included in HOA fees. There were many many construction defects with the home - from plumbing, to electrical to carpentry, appliances, tile, garage flooring etc. Lennar needs to spend more money on the various different trades so as to not have so many things that need to be repaired or replaced before homeowners move in and afterwards as well. The after home purchase was horrible. The loan process was the absolute best!

Don't like the fact that we don't have a pool and we are told that there is no time frame on when it will be completed. So we are forced to spend money on water parks and the lagoon so our kids to die from heat

Accountability was the key issue with our build. Arriving at our initial pre-closing inspection, our Construction Manager was not there. He was on vacation and had not advised of another CM to take his place. MOST of our cosmetic walk through items were ignored. Larger items like cabinet replacements, holes in the walls, filthy tile grout.... all avoided. The hinges on most of our interior doors use multiple types of hardware, utilizing drywall screws, galvanized and Zinc screws. The carpet installed in the house was the cheaper carpet initially, and luckily for us, our local realtor was aware of which carpet needed to be in. Initial carpet was a cheaper carpet typically installed in Lennars Townhomes. Many excuses were made. Craftsmanship was subpar, communication was super, accountability was trash. ... More

Please take your time during your walk through. Everyone is moving 100MPH to get you to closing and lots of fine details are left out. We made the mistake of doing our closing the morning of our walk through...the men were still in our home "completing" the last-minute items which were still not done. Once you close, they are not timely in sending people to your home to repair. You go with many days and hours wasted of no one coming or calling you back. You get the round around of calling A, B and C because they are no longer responsible for those items you now need repaired in your BRAND new house you purchased. I have already had a leak in my bedroom from our very 1st storm here and the person that was assigned to my case Illiana, at first told me my claim was going to be denied because we had a lot of rain! Who says that to someone that just spent several hundred thousand dollars!!!!! We didn't buy a tent, we bought a LENNAR trusted built home. Plus, you never want to tell someone flat out NO without giving them some options. The other frustration is they dont respond right away but when they do, they say we will be tomorrow at 10 and if you want this done, be there! Thats also not okay. People have jobs and jobs require notice. I just spent my whole day on Monday, waiting for someone to come from 8am-12am and no one arrived. I got a follow up call 2 days later letting me know the GC is going to come to my home today at 10am, again without asking if I am going to be home. So once again people, make sure you spend a lot of time in the home. Dont let anyone rush you. Print a checklist on line and bring with you and DO NOT close until all the work has been done. ... There are multiple hollow tiles in our home that move, that caused the ground to break, when we called out to get it fixed, they fixed the grout but not didn’t fill in mortar. Our stove/ microwave combo wasn’t installed correctly, it slammed down and broke the whole cabinetry. We were told it’s not safe to use anymore and now we are waiting for somebody to come out. It’s been two weeks now. Our Irrigation system has not worked ever and we’re being told that it’s not even covered by the warranty. No one seems to care that they sold us a faulty irrigation system. Not to mention all the other little things that could’ve been avoided if the house was built with attention to detail. ... More

During my initial walk through I found several issues to include a/c not working, toilet not working and several cosmetic issues prior to closing. The worst thing I found was someone had used and spilled something in my microwave and urine on my master bedroom toilet. I was in complete shock and disgusted and the construction manager, Mark, was made aware of these findings prior to move in. The day of closing the house seemed in order but the toilet was supposedly being replaced and when I mentioned to the construction manager that the a/c was still on the same number he said it was fine and gave some poor excuse. He apologized for his staff using the toilet and microwave and that he was shocked as well and would have a conversation with his crew. When I finished closing on my house and was ready to move in I found that someone used my microwave again and left food in my sink, my toilet was still slow to flush and urine stain was still on the lid. To make matters worse my a/c was NOTA WORKING and my daughter and I slept hot our first night. When I called Mark the next day he told me it was no longer his issue and that I would have to contact warranty. I felt super blindsided. When the a/c guy showed up he realized it was unplugged. I’ve had to put in warranty requests just about every week to have them come fix things that should have been addressed prior to closing and I’ve found the worst construction flaws in my house. You would think the workers were drunk while putting this place together. So far my toilet has stopped working three times and the last plumber that came out found a huge chunk of TILE had been thrown down the pipe and the wax ring had fallen in the pipe as well which was causing the clogs. Worst home buying experience I’ve had. The only upside is my new home orientation contact, Sharmin, has been on top of things when I’ve put in requests and she’s been the only person that has cared about all the issues I’ve encountered and she has proven to care about me as a person whose hard-earned money went into buying this home. The sales rep could have cared less even when myself and my realtor brought these issues up to her nor did the construction manager nor his superiors when contacted. Buyer beware!! Our experience continues to be exhausting and frustrating. We had a 9 page punch list on the first walk through which was not addressed by the closing date. Being in the house for almost two months we are still waiting to get things corrected that should have never been issues if the builder used common sense. The issue costing us, is our AC is not working properly through out the house costing us high electrical bills. Light switches did not work, had to paint the entire house inside and out, seals on all windows had to be replaced, still waiting on hardware for the hurricane shutters. There is not enough staff to complete these issues for all the homes. We were never clear who the contact person was, the warranty person, contract manager, virtual Lennar contact (have two of them) or to reach out to the subcontractors directly. We are at the point where we don't want to say anything, for concerns the repair will make it worse, like matching the tile that needs to be replaced. We were not left extra tile of the same lot incase repairs are needed. I have designed and built homes before retiring, and the biggest issue is the building manager or general contractor is not managing the quality as the house is being built. If they corrected these errors as the house is going up, it's more cost effective then repairing after build is complete. ... More

The sales person was terrific and helped with the buying process. The closing was delayed by Lennar. The condition and cleanliness of my new home was poor. Empty bottles inside and out, paint job was awful. Paint everywhere with spots missed on the walls. There was paint on mirrors, on carpet, tile floors, cabinets, shower doors. No hot water, broken cabinets and fence behind the house is crooked and we lost footage. Lennar could have done better for the price we paid.

Move in experience was kind of a hustle. Need to identify al issues immediately and if find other problems must go through on line process that has not been paid attention to. I had to pay for outside people to address my issues.. sorry got into this situation.

This home buying experience has been a total nightmare. Everything from poor workmanship to electrical, plumbing, door issues, etc. We closed 2 months ago and still have multiple issues that have not been taken care of. In addition, we found out after we closed on our house that Lennar does not include screen doors on the patio doors! We purchase them from C&C window for $720.00. When they went to install them on the triple slider, they couldn't install because the door frame was installed incorrectly. C&C replaced the door jam and installed the screens but in the process ripped out a big section of drywall and Stucco that still hasn't been repaired. In addition to that I still have a list of 14 items that have not been corrected. Once they get your money, good luck with getting issues fixed. ... More

This is my second experience with Lennar, first house had good quality in almost everything; the new house had a lot of issues and now is really difficult to get them fixed. I only got help from one person (Mr Lee). Also the way that they does the closing is annoying, my realtor had to get paperwork through the title company after almost two months because they never gave me a copy.

Many issues found after move in. Quality issues should be addressed quickly.

Lennar was great in the beginning answered all of our questions in a timely manner whether through emails or text! Our sales rep Ali was always available to answer any questions we had, and with us being new home buyers she walked us through every stage of the home building process and for that we are grateful. Megan our loan officer was also available and would answer any of our questions in a timely manner.However when it came down to the construction of our home that's when things changed. As our closing date approached we had concerns that our home would not be finished. It indeed was not.We ended up closing with the promise that all of our concerns would be resolved a couple of days after closing and they were not. For example, missing doors on cabinets, lighting in both bathrooms,vanity missing in second bathroom etc. The bottom line is that we would have never of closed knowing all of these items wouldn't be taken care of for weeks after closing. As I write this review their are still issues with the kitchen cabinets.The earliest they can come to fix them is April! Not acceptable! But what choice do we have? ... More

In my experience the sales effort and aggressive chase for wire transfers long before the house was anywhere near completion was unprofessional. A 1:00pm walk thru for a 4:00pm closing when the interior doors where still in the garage along with many poorly done items in and around the house. Closed the next day with many open items. Still today dozen or more items not done. Appointment for Dec.23, garage door not working correctly and very noisy still no show. Awakened by dripping water while in bed, leaking roof. Interior paint job is horrible. Many spots in paint and chips or missing grout in floor not addressed yet. Broken tiles, chipped doors, not yet fixed. I can see grout lines in ceiling that should never show. Front door does not close properly, bad trim work around doors painted over. Contractors leaving paint or other stains in driveway. Holes in patio concrete. Far to many issues to list. Still today after two months blue stickers all over house. Your service after sale is rated less than one star. I cannot trust you to stand behind your work. Your service after the sale should be as aggressive as your sales and wire deposit efforts. My home buying experience was not pleasant. From the start representatives tried to force me to use Lennar financing and threatened that I could lose my deposit if I went with another lender. From there it got worse. My closings date was chosen by Lennar and it did seem like there was any coordination with the construction side. A week before closing I have my orientation and the electrical had not been tested so there were no lights or AC and the water had not been tested with we could do a proper walkthrough. The day before closing I spoke with a representative from the construction side and they told me the home wasn’t even 90% done yet. On my original closing date I arrived at the home to do a final walkthrough and there were holes cut out of my pantry wall because my water heater was leaking. The stove top was missing and my oven/ microwave was sitting on the floor. To make it worse. The plumber realized the fixtures on the bathtub were reversed. Since there is no way to access them he had to cut a hole in the dining room ceiling to access the supply lines. After that was fixed the turned the water on and water came gushing out of the ceiling. At this point the construction rep called his boss to look at the situation. I them received a call from the sales representative stating that they will give me $6500 towards my closing cost if I closed on that day but I wouldn’t be able to move in for 2 weeks. I replied that I would close only if they paid all closing cost at this point. They declined. The started the remediation to make sure no mold or water damage was evident. They had heaters and blowers on 24/7 for at least 4 days. I notified the sales representative that the electricity was switched over to my name 48 hours prior to closing as per the letter Lennar sent listing things that needed to be done prior to the closing date. The sales representative replied “ why did you do that. You haven’t closed yet”. So I send her a copy of the check list they sent me. Again they declined to do anything about it. I was stuck paying the electricity bill for the month that it took for them to get the house ready for the 2nd closing date. 2 days prior to the second closing date we did a final walk through and notated what needed to be fixed and today over a month and a half later I still have things that need fixing. ... Terrible experience the base boards and the foundation of the home wasn't sealed. Some of the trims in the house have spaces and are uneven. Some areas of the house didn't get painted on the outside. So many gaps in the foundation of the home that bugs get into. Just horrible overall experience. I wouldn't recommend lennar to anyone.
