Microwave plate broke, No body came to see, outside door not sliding

We have really struggled with the responsiveness of Lennar to repair items. The virtual assistant is a nice concept, but many of the repairs even six weeks later still have not been complete. This has dulled our overall desire to represent the company in a superior light. There are individual workers who are committed to their job, but many of the subcontractors are often late or they do not show for schedule appointments.

Well designed floor plans. Keeps buyer well informed on progress. Initially very responsive to issues, but drifts to mediocre after six weeks. Work force appears to have incentives to build quickly, not well. Do-overs typically done by different entities so no one accountable. Cheapest grade HVAC, water heater, and appliances.

Good people to work with… decent home…but low end appliances…cheaper grade carpet….wall paint could be nicer…Not accustomed to subdivision where all the homes are relatively identical. Rate it 7 / 10

Enjoying the new home overall. Sales Represntatives was accessible for questions. We did have have to battle Lennar to provide items/ detail work that were in the purchase agreement. Be prepared for “that’s within tolerance” when doing your walkthrough when there is clearly an issue.

Overall the experience was good, but I wish that I was offered a choice of lots and be more involved in the building process.

Our experience with Lennar has been mostly positive. From the start we liked our salesperson, who was helpful, honest and explained the process along the way and made us feel very comfortable. Then we started working with Lennar Mortgage, and had a very bad experience.. The building process went smoothly and we were very pleased with the home initially, and for the most part we still are. A builder once told us "There are a lot of parts in a house" and we know everything isn't going to work as it should, and warranty issues are going to need to be corrected. Initially that was being done, but with about 15 things....mostly small ticket items...on our warranty list, Lennar has been dragging their feet here lately. As more homes are completed, and our addition is only 1/4 built out, we fear that warranty issues are going to get less and less attention as newer owners have multiple warranty issues. And we're tired of hearing everything blamed on Covid 19....we're coming out of the pandemic and while supply chain issues still exist, they aren't as problematic as they were in 2020. ... More

They have a good system in place to address concerns if you have them after moving in. However, it would have been nice to have a very clearly defined sheet on what is covered under warranty and until when and what is not. Also, what the HOA is responsible for and what Lennar is responsible for. We are in a position now of considering getting a water softener. We have had dry skin and film on our shower door after only a handful of showers. It might have been nice if someone explained to us that the water in Westfield is not great and is very hard. This is an expense that we were not banking on. We are from Illinois and have never had these problems with our water. ... More

Everything Included made the buying process very simple and stress free.

Final punch work wasn’t completed , I’ve spoken to the Super and have received promise of completion soon we’ll see .

Lennar's catchphrase is "EVERYTHING'S INCLUDED!". I'm here to tell you it's not. While the people along the way were magnificent and responsive, I'm just shocked just the blah chrome builder's grade cheap stuff Lennar used. This was a spec house so couldn't choose the quality of finishes I wanted, but shocked that basically no upgraded anything was used here. NOTHING. And if everything's included, why am I spending THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS having a painter and contractor add the basic things you didn't, and should have? Basic things not included? Shocked. I thought my other homebuilder was bad, Lennar took that crown. Very disappointed, marked areas with tape and tape was removed without the work being done.

Lennar has cut multiple corners in quality. They have done an abysmal job in leveling the lawn. The house finishing has multiple rough finishes. They have door a very poor job in closing out the gaps inside and outside the house. I would expect a lot more if I am paying more than 600k for a house.

Lennar was on it when they wanted you to purchase the home… then their responsiveness and flexibility decline from there. Out of all the builders we looked into they were the least flexible with allowing anything to happen before closing, which is understandable. they are very strict with allowing anything their rules leading up to closing then almost seem to want to disappear after that. Not everything was fixed at closing, as they continually promised it would be (things that were pointed out at our walk through and inspection a week prior) and it was/has been a struggle to get it all Completed by them since then. They like to take the short cut with some of the construction work (like trying to patch a hole in brand new counter tops rather than replacing, hiding holes in the wall with light fixtures). I personally think they fly through the homes too quickly during the build process and are doing too many at once. We love our home because of the location, the floor plan is perfect for us ans for the personal touches we have added since moving in. There have been a few great people we have worked with from Lennar along the way but overall it’s been more frustrating than I imagined with buying a new home ... More

We like the layout, room size, fireplace and lighting. We are very disappointed in the windows and sliding door. They leak air badly when wind is over 15 mph. This was particularly bad with the recent winter storm with winds up to 40 mph and blowing snow. We actually had a snowdrift on the inside windowsill at one window. Our furnace ran continuously for 3 days because of the cold air blowing into our house. This is unacceptable. We have Cambria quartz countertops in our our Florida condo and in our previous home. It had a beautiful glossy finish. The countertops in our new home have a dull finish. Also the carpet in our 3 bedrooms is disappointing, not what we expected in a $500K home. ... More

Lennar forgets about you after closing.

I listed 6 things wrong and they have only addressed 1.

I had issue with my gutter directions. I complaints about the issue to lennar but they just manipulate my concern and instead of taking my request just said buy gutter extension but that is not a solution of my request i have paid about $500k for my home and there is big mess of mulch on my walk way to main entry after every rain . Resolution asked is to change the direction of gutters. As i dnt want to put extension because it doesn’t look nice and make my home mess.

I like the model we bought. The curb appeal is nice. I was a little disappointed with the communication. We got the house with dirty windows and stains on the patio concrete. We asked for them to power washed and nothing was ever done even though Grant said he put request in.

We love the neighborhood, trails and play area. The house is okay, but it does lack quality. Several issues since move in and they are slow to get things resolved. Our customer service rep is nice but all around there is major lack of communication. Otherwise we love the home and floorplan, just wish quality was better.

We’ve had a ton of issues since move in. Starting at the very day we moved in. We went and taped all the issues- then on move in the the issues weren’t fixed and the tape was still up. From there we’ve had issues with floors, doors, plants, paint, dishwasher cutout.. etc. Also the entire neighborhood looks terrible due to trash, overgrown grass and weeds, dead trees. Mounds of dirt etc. really wishing they would get our areas that are finished looking better. Also the contruction trucks fly through and we all have young children.

We have built with Lennar before. The 1st build was a great experience without any craftsmanship issues. This time, we were not satisfied with the workmanship, and we are still experiencing HVAC issues that have yet to be resolved.

Quality of materials and workmanship is extremely poor.
